I had high expectations, and somehow they still exceeded them. They're the highest rated seafood restaurant in the Virginia Beach area on Yelp, and for good reason. There was even a small wait on a Wednesday night, which honestly told me everything I needed to know before we even sat down. Our server, Jenny, was absolutely wonderful. She was friendly, attentive, and always seemed to show up right when we needed something. The head chef also stopped by our table and was incredibly kind and genuinely invested in making sure everyone was enjoying their meal. That level of hospitality really made the experience feel special. The meal started with a complimentary amuse-bouche of roasted golden beets, goat cheese, candied walnuts, and balsamic. It was a classy little bite that got the evening off to a great start. Then came the sweet potato biscuits with apricot jam...listen, I could've eaten an entire basket of those and been perfectly happy. For my entrée, I ordered the crab cakes with garlic mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables. These are the kind of crab cakes people are looking for. They were packed with lump crab, full of flavor, and had virtually no filler. Every bite was delicious. From start to finish, everything was on point. Great food, genuine hospitality, and a team that clearly cares about what they're serving. It took me over a decade to make it back, but I can promise it won't be another ten years before my next visit. Highly recommend.

The service was top notch from the moment we walked in the door until we stepped outside. They were attentive and made sure we had everything we needed and even double checked to be sure what I ordered was gluten free. I ordered the Twisted Salmon Oscar (from the menu; Baked Atlantic salmon smothered in asparagus, lump crab meat, and dill-lime hollandaise sauce). It was sooooo good. I don't usually eat much but I ate way too much today! Larry enjoyed the Fresh seafood Combination with blackened flounder (from the menu; Fresh catch, sea scallops, and lump crab cake: broiled, fried, or blackened). He also ordered the Fried Eastern Shore Oysters (from the menu: Perfectly breaded, flash fried crispy, and served with our barrier island sauce) as an appetizer and said both were delicious. all of the food came out so quick and were perfectly cooked. While we waited we enjoyed drinks from the bar and they even brought out a small bit of poke, even making sure it was gluten free for me! And lets not forget desert. I enjoyed the creme brulee and Larry enjoyed the key lime pie. We probably shouldn't have had desert but how could we say no! The atmosphere is cozy and intimate. Perfect for a date night. We will most definitely be back!

We love ceviche but this version had really really soft, almost mushy scallops! No one was a fan of mushy scallops so we ate around them! We're not sure if this is how their scallops always are served, of if we just got a mushy order. Overall the food and service was great and we will be back!

Everything was amazing here and I can't recommend this place enough. Also, the bar looks amazing with lots of drink specials. They do add an 18% gratuity in all checks. This would normally be a problem for me as service is hot and miss at some places. But, the device was amazing and every one of the servers help out and take care of the patrons.

We were a party of 6 with estimated wait time 45min. You receive a link when you check in with your location on the wait list and party sizes. A party of 7 was sat before us because they didn't think we would want to sit at a high top with my infant. They did not ask our preference. Then they split tables that had been pushed together for a previous party of 6 and began sitting parties of 2 that had been waiting ~20min while we were over 80min of waiting per the link sent to us. Then, an incomplete party of 6 was sat at one of the large booths. We expressed concern to the hostess and were told we were "next on the list". Another hosted arrived and explained that we were not sat in the order we arrived because of the infant and the high top. We expressed we would like to sit at the high top and then we were provided a high chair that fit at the high top table.. First come first serve was not what was practiced here today, and unfortunately I was with an infant so we felt it a little harder than we would have otherwise. Overall it was very disappointing. We typically love the food and the service. We just hope that this doesn't become a trend - would hate to see this place go downhill..

We love the subtle Greek twist on the dishes, particularly how well it works with the lamb lollipops. While the food is amazing, the incredible service is what keeps us returning. It is always impeccable, with knowledgeable servers and eager sommeliers, and Yiannis himself frequently stopping by. We were even treated to a tour of the kitchen on our first visit. The broth was flat and still had a wine taste to it. When I told the owner, he agreed that the wine taste was overpowering and told me they got a new chef who tried a new recipe and that they will go back to the old recipe. For entrees I got the lamb chops with risotto and she crab soup. The lamb was very tender but the flavor was lacking. It was also luke warm. The she crab soup was good but too salty. The owner also acknowledged that as well. The risotto was okay. Nothing special. My husband got the grilled bronzino and broccolini. I tried some and I liked the taste but he said it could have used more flavor. Broccolini was steamed and I wish they had grilled it instead. The bread pudding was the star of the entire meal. It was made of donuts. It was moist, sweet, and delicious. Drinks: We got a bottle of champagne and two cocktails. Drinks were all very good Service: This is probably why I'm giving them 4 stars instead of 3. The service was very good. First, they called me prior to my reservation and asked if they could pre-chill any wine or champagne for my husband's birthday and I was very appreciative of that. When we got there, our drinks came out a little slow but our waiter comped that immediately. Throughout the night, the owner checked in on us several times and that stood out to me. Overall I will come back once they fix some things with the new chef. Hopefully the food will get better
