Galaxy Home Recreation - Outdoor Fire Tables

Absolutely a delight to deal with…read more They are extremely knowledgeable and a great value. I purchased a hot tub and outdoor sectional and they gave us a great deal and were so patient in working with us to sort out the options and pricing. I know we are going to love our new hot tub!

The people at Galaxy Home Recreation are soooo nice - and here is why I will NEVER buy from them…read moreagain: 1) Sales: They sold me a $12,000 Hot Tub at their "Big Sale". A week later, it was listed for $1,000 less than the sale price. I spoke to the manager about it and he said all sales are final and that I had signed a statement to acknowledging this at the time of purchase. True, but not a way to treat a customer. But the manager was so nice. 2) Electrical: They recommended an electrician to install proper wiring. They proudly display the electrician's business card and tell me that he was the best and lowest priced. He gave me an estimate an appointment time. I took a vacation day from work for my 10:30 appointment. He was a no show. I called and texted him - no response, no answer - until the afternoon. He said I was last on the list and he would be there at 4:30 or so. No communication and he was not concerned at all that he cost me a vacation day or that I was waiting on him ALL DAY. I cancelled and had the work performed by another who was $350 dollars less. So much for the best price. 3) Delivery: Two young men showed up to delivery a 700 pound hot tub - with a sheet of hard plastic to be used as a sled to drag it to the installation location - through a rock yard onto a lawn. They got stuck halfway through the rock yard and I had to jump in and help. They said if not for me, they don't know if they could have done it. 4) After sale: There was no startup chemical kit included. So far, no followup at all. They came up short in ALL ASPECTS of the purchase.

We recently moved to NW Arkansas into a new construction home and knew we wanted a very sleek…read moremodern looking pool to match the look of the house! I called and got bid from about 5 companies in NWA, and although Burton was on the higher end... I can tell you it is 110% worth it. I would not have traded a few thousand dollars for the quality and care we got throughout the whole process. I was living in California during my planning process and knew it could be tricky trying to get someone on the books living so far away at the time. Our sales rep was Whitlee! He was my first point of contact and walked me through the whole process of the pool. He came out to see the pool location before we even moved to the area. At that point I knew customer service was something they greatly value. We booked them in January 2020 and they started the end of April 2020. We chose a 16x36, 6 feet deep concrete pool with full end to end steps and a padded vinyl liner (it doesn't tear up my kids feet). We got an electric heat pump (which is awesome), a salt system, in floor cleaning system, a 3 LED lights that change colors. We also added the cutest giant concrete stepping stones rather than a traditional sidewalk. I love it so much and it really makes it look modern. During the process we upgraded the concrete to have a hand scrapped border (see pics below). Our project manager was Josh. He walked me through every step of the process and answered any of my questions (which I had MANY, ha). The teams doing each part of the project were fast and efficient. I have truly never seen harder workers in my life. I told Josh the project manager they all deserve a raise :). It was just under 4 weeks from the time they started digging to the time we were swimming. I was literally shocked. I know that timeline is not the norm because we didn't have a ton of "extra" things like water features and retaining walls, etc. But still... 4 weeks is impressive. Chris installed our vinyl liner and pool cover. He came to our house Memorial Day weekend just to make sure I had chemicals to swim for my opening weekend. I was so thankful he took time away from his family to do that for my family. Our pool lesson was with Jay. He was so patient and took about an hour to show us every feature and how everything works. I've probably called/texted him 4 times in the past week asking him questions because I couldn't remember what he taught me and he joyfully answers all of them. So in recap... I was nervous to start a big pool project because I have heard horror stories of people saying it was 6-9 months building a pool and that you never know when people will show up, etc. Burton was on-time and on-budget. I always felt like I knew exactly what was happening and when. In the end we have a beautiful pool even better than I imagined.

I can confidently say this has been one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had…read more We contacted this company regarding work needed on our fiberglass pool steps. Eddie walked me through what would need to be done and provided a ballpark estimate for the work. However, when we received the actual quote from Roberta, it was more than 300% higher than the original estimate, with absolutely no explanation for the drastic increase. After spending weeks trying to get a hold of Roberta to understand the discrepancy, I eventually received a response from the assistant Manager Holly, stating that the work required a "repair" rather than a "renew" and that the fiberglass repairs were actually outside their scope of work. This raises several questions. If the work was outside their capabilities, why did Eddie initially explain the repair process in depth and provide an estimate? Why was a formal quote issued for work they now claim they cannot perform? And if something changed after further discussions, why was that never proactively communicated to us? Instead of providing transparency or taking accountability, we were left chasing answers, dealing with delayed responses, and receiving contradictory information. The lack of professionalism, communication, and basic customer service throughout this process has been absolutely unacceptable. Whether this comes down to incompetence, poor internal communication, or simply not wanting our business, the result is the same: a complete waste of our time and an incredibly frustrating experience. I would strongly caution anyone considering doing business with this company. Based on my experience, I would not recommend them to anyone.

Greater problems than what I started with. But the real problem with these folks was the customer service from Michelle. When I called on Monday to see about getting a fourth service visit to address the ever growing issue, I was assailed for having the audacity to say I needed a 4th service visit to address the issue. I was told we should part ways and I should contact someone else. The rude and unprofessional attitude I received from Michelle was without precedent from anyone I've ever dealt with in the service industry. After investing both time and money with this group I was willing to let their Techs and Service folks continue to try and resolve the problem. I felt they deserved that opportunity. Jonathon was a pleasure to work with and seemed to genuinely be working the issue and seeking a resolution. I wanted him to have that opportunity. Following Michelle's advice, I contacted Complete Aqua Care. I spoke with Josh and Roger who came out the next day to evaluate the issue. Roger immediately determined that the plastic threaded buttress fitting that secures the O-ring had cracked and failed allowing the O-ring to extrude and form a large leak. I'm sure if Jonathon had been allowed to come out, he would have quickly come to the same conclusion and successfully resolved the issue for NWA Pool & Spa. Alas, he didn't get that satisfaction or have the chance to redeem NWA Pool & Spa's reputation. Have a Blessed Day Michelle!
