If you're visiting Lunenburg, definitely stop by here for a treat!…read more This is my favorite ice cream shop in Nova Scotia! The amount of ice cream for the price is so worth it. Their single scoop is bigger than a double scoop from some of the ice cream shops at Halifax. We got the maple walnut ice cream. Can't really go wrong with this flavor when in Nova Scotia. It's consistent with all the other ice cream shops in the province. Oh, and I believe their waffle cones is made fresh. You can definitely taste the freshness of the cones.

Homemade icecream and fudge on a hot day? Not gonna pass up on that!…read more We were walking the streets of Lunenburg, and decided it would be 10x better with icecream in hand so stopped by Sweet Treasures. I got a double scoop cup of orange chocolate and peanut butter eureka, while my wife got a single scoop waffle cone with pistachio. The flavours are distinct, and the icecream is good though a bit on the icey side (there were times it felt almost like a popsicle). Prices are reasonable, people are friendly. While not the ultimate reward at the end of a treasure map, Sweet Treasures is a worthy stop along the way.

The front was run with teenagers who had the endless smiles on their faces, when they saw the birthday boy- they all wished happy birthday with such excitement willing to have fun. When he birthday boy just ordered gummy bears- she's like you want one scoop, then asked again- she was so nice piling four scoops of gummy bears and even offered a waffle bowl because the ice cream was melting. The location was huddle and bustle- they also weigh all the orders here to ensure they hit the size requirement for "size."

It didn't take me long to decide what I wanted bc I saw the word s'mores so it's no contest for me after that lol! I got the Gimme S'mores fog cup which has their signature creamy soft serve mixed with graham crackers and chocolate sauce, and topped with toasted marshmallow merengue and their giant cloud of fog cotton candy!! If I was a kid, I'm sure I would've eaten the entire thing haha!! It was delicious but insanely sweet as you can imagine. I could only manage a couple of nibbles on the cotton candy - it had a great flavor but is just straight sugar so I couldn't handle more lol. But the rest went down too easy and was a fun choice. My hubby wasn't feeling as childish as me and just went with a little scoop of his go-to mint chocolate chip topped with chocolate sauce - excellent flavor and texture in this one as well and the small scoop was just right. If you're not feeling the ice cream, they also offer cookies and donuts - ample choices of flavors and they looked fabulous as well. The shop is sleek and clean with benches inside and some whimsical patio seating outside to take advantage of their harbor views. Prices are reasonable given the quality and portions. Staff were very friendly. Location is excellent - right along Halifax's popular Harborwalk. Very easy to get to as a pedestrian and tourist but I imagine driving here would be a nightmare bc parking is difficult in Halifax imo and there's so much construction going on at the moment.

They also have a very intriguing Friday Supper menu- must check it out sometime. I digress. I have eaten here several times- there is a daily special that changes each day- check on facebook for menu updates. The food is local fare, freshly made & deeelish! They are opening a new menu this week, but, I hope my dear friend the vegetarian sandwich makes an appearance: the chef does something magical to it & served on toasted rye bread with fresh veggies& some special sauce - this dish is the best. I have dined with others who appreciate the smoked meat treats they serve. Try the vegetarian sandwich. seriously. Also- their salads have not yet disappointed. They are all delish. The soups a awesome too: can we say curried pumpkin? roasted pumpkin? carrot & apple? If you want a healthy, delicious, locally sourced lunch where you do not feel like dozing all afternoon- this is the place for you. The venue is not fancy- there are private, wooden booths-all with a view of quaint Webster Court. This place does not disappoint. yum-bo!

Located…read morejust off Main Street, it's a small place with a limited variety of standard flavours and the ability to "make your own" by choosing from a long list of ingredients and then watching them knock it up. We were somewhat time constrained, so just went for the salted caramel, served in a home made cone and a generous scoop to boot. Quite superb! With more time it would be fun to come up with your own combination and see what happens. Nice little garden out front with a couple of picnic tables. A must visit on any summer trip to the delightful town of Wolfville.
