If you ask anyone in the US, they will tell you that Sears is in its dying days. But the same cannot be said of the Sears location in Tijuana's Plaza Rio. I came here to do some shopping, and was pleasantly surprised at just how busy this place is. The store is also very clean, well stocked, and well-run. The employees here work hard, and make sure the customer is taken cared of. Prices here are somewhat comparable to US prices. So if you're coming here for a discount, you might be surprised to find that some merchandise is equally priced, or pricier, than its US counterpart. I will say that the excellent customer service makes shopping here worth it. This store can be accessed from the parking lot or from the plaza walkway. It definitely a different experience shopping here than in the Sears locations back home. To the people that run this place: good job. read more

If I could choose 0 stars I would. After waiting over 40 minutes for a customer service rep to assist us we could not get a temporary card for the day. We forgot our sear card at home but had our id and other forms of identification and they still would not give us a temporary card to shop. Reps are rude and don't care to have you waiting read more

Although the store has a lot of quality looks to it and quality merchandise, this is my third experience with very poor service at this store. Today I attempted to purchase a pair of tennis shoes that were marked 30% off. However, the computer only showed 10% discount. I asked for a manager and I had to go find a manager myself. Although I thought what we had found was a manager, I came to find out that she was not authorized as a manager. By the way, the manager was out on a 2-hour lunch. If a manager is going to be gone that long, they ought to have somebody that is in charge and has authority to manage and handle customer situations. She was very rude but did walk me back to the shoe department and after 10 minutes of them looking through paperwork and paperwork and paperwork, they decided to give me 30% discount. However after waiting 20 minutes and being put behind other customers, a salesperson located the second shoe and was going to check me out. However, she did not have the authority to mark down to 30% and she had to go locate another person. We waited another 5 to 8 minutes and she did not return. So I decided to leave. After 1 hour waiting, waiting, waiting, I still did not get my tennis shoes. Again this was not my first encounter with poor service at this store. I know I'm from the United States, but customer service is customer service no matter where you go and pandemic or not! read more

This review is strictly for the ladies at the Clinique counter. Despite our language differences, I made out with a new foundation in the perfect shade. And I love it. I've always used Clinique foundation that I generally purchase from Ulta stores in San Diego. However since moving down here to TJ, I haven't found a new spot to purchase make up. I've walked by the Sears half a dozen times while roaming around Plaza Rio and knew they carried higher end cosmetics brands so I decided to walk in and look around. I gravitated towards Clinique as that's the brand I know works best, but I wanted to switch it up a bit. I wanted a lighter shade and i wanted a lighter feeling formula. One of the gals communicated to the other clerk what I wanted and she quickly looked around and came back with two for me to try on with a Q-tip. I went with her first suggestion and i am a happy gal! When I was ready to purchase my new product, i was walked over to the cash register (as opposed to someone pointing to the cash register like at most places....) i have to say, I genuinely felt welcomed in their place of business and I felt appreciated as a customer. Again, despite knowing limited Spanish, we worked well together and i got a great new Clinique foundation! read more
