They noted that the gaskets needed to be replaced on both fireplace doors so that work was also done. The cost value of the job was very reasonable considering they needed to travel from Canon City to Howard as we were unable to find anyone in the Howard area to do the work. Again, great job - we will keep you on our calendar for future work. You are the best!!!

When you go looking around for something, you never have to worry about finding it because there are people seemingly at every aisle to help. What's more, they ALL seem to be super-knowledgeable! Are they all trained on everything?! Maybe I've just been lucky, but it sure seems that way. I have to especially call out Chris in the paint department. He's been there for years, but even after not coming by for longgg stretch (we were out of town for much of the COVID-19 Pandemic) when my wife and I returned, he knew us exactly, remembered all our paint choices and helped us in every way possible. The selection in the store is just big enough to find what you need, but their online service provides what seems like a limitless selection. Prices are comparable to other stores. The fact Records has stood the test of time is evidence of how wonderful they are, and certainly a valued merchant in the little town of Raton, New Mexico.

It has been my personal experience that the store owners and managers will ignore, harass, refuse service, or call the police on individuals who are white, who are community activists/are known to be working to engender positive change in the community, or who complain either about the store's poor operations, management and quality control or about the store's discriminatory practices to Ace Hardware's national customer relations. I further believe that I am treated differently because, by my observation, I am "not their friend", I don't "look like them", or I am "new" or "not from around here". National Ace has done nothing to address or correct these problems or practices, which can only serve to damage Ace's heretofore good reputation as "helpful hardware folks".. All people of good conscience should demand that Ace treat all customers equally, with respect and dignity befitting its espoused, but poorly implemented, principles.
