I was nervous after reading that negative review, but it's from 3 years ago. I had a washer that…read morestopped working so I filed a claim with my home warranty. Sears (supposed to be a reputable name) took 3 weeks to get to get to me, and it was impossible to speak to a human being! ABC was reassigned to my claim on a Tuesday and they were here the very next day. Dason, the technician was early for the appointment which worked out better for me! He diagnosed the problem within minutes, and ordered the part right away. They called me as soon as it came in and had me in the schedule the next day. Guess what! Dason was early again! Took about 15 minutes and he was finished. I had a washer again! He even noticed that my dryer thing wasn't connected great to the vent, so he taped it back together for me. Everyone I spoke to in their office was friendly and responsive. Would recommend!

Usually it would take a month to fix a problem. In less than two years my washer and dryer broke four times. The first two times they replaced a motherboard. The third visit really pissed me off and the fourth pissed off my property manager. Thank you Lord! I work from home and this repair guy would not shut the #%€£ up. He told me that I am breaking my machine by overloading the washer and he can tell because they have serviced this unit so many times. Would you trust a repair man who thinks the washer's springs can short-circuit the motherboard in both the washer and dryer? No wonder they can't diagnose the issue on the first visit. This is the best part. Our property manager was replaced and the new manager gave Mr. Appliance the opportunity to fix units in multiple apartments. Due to their incredibly sluggish response time, I followed up to check the status on the part they ordered. I had done this on all prior repairs. This time the receptionist could not find my records, she called my rude, and told me to ask my property manager. I certainly did. The vile receptionist called my property manager rude too. It is obviously too much to expect Mr. Appliance to keep track of their customers and order the correct parts in a timely manner. We had a concern with our dryer that could easily have been turned into a hundreds-of-dollar issue. He disassembled our dryer and found that the problem was pretty mundane. He easily fixed it and reassembled the dryer. He then explained what might have led to the issue and told us how to keep it from happening again. His price? Only his time, which was very fair. I sent pictures of the model number and the louvers, explained the issue, and initially had what I thought was a pretty good interaction with the repairman. He responded with troubleshooting questions and suggested a hard reset. I explained that I had already done that multiple times, including leaving the refrigerator unplugged for 24 hours to make sure any ice had melted. He then suggested that the control board was likely not sending power to the evaporator fan and offered to come out the next morning to diagnose it. So far, so good. I then asked a very basic question: "How much do you charge for the trip and diagnosis?" I didn't hear anything for the rest of the day or the following morning, so I sent a follow-up asking if he had seen my question. Several hours later, I received this response: "Sorry, but I don't allow people to waste my time. I asked you for your address not once but twice and nothing so I am out." Honestly, I was stunned by that response. There had been a misunderstanding. When we spoke on the phone, he asked generally where I lived. I told him west Bentonville, by the airport, and he said it would typically take him about 30 minutes to get there. When he subsequently asked for my address by text, I wanted to first establish what the service call and diagnostic fee would be before giving out my home address. That seems like a completely reasonable question to me. I certainly wasn't trying to waste his time. I was trying to become a paying customer and simply wanted to know what I would be paying before scheduling a service call. What really bothers me isn't that we didn't end up doing business. It's the unnecessary hostility toward a potential customer over what was clearly a simple misunderstanding. There was absolutely no reason for the interaction to go from professional and helpful to "I don't allow people to waste my time" simply because I asked about the price before providing my address. Ironically, I'm now glad I didn't schedule the appointment. If this is how a potential customer is treated before the technician has even arrived at the house, I don't have much confidence in how problems would be handled if something went wrong with the repair. I would strongly recommend getting a clear understanding of the service/diagnostic fee and expectations before providing your address or scheduling with this company. They came back three times for parts to try to get it to temperature inside the refrigerator even though the freezer was fine and they only charge for the part. Extremely professional came when they said they would, called ahead of time to say how far out they were and we're way out between Rogers and Eureka Springs on Highway 12. No mileage charge no additional fees just the parts charge. I believe our 11-year-old fridge was shot so we went ahead and bought a new one but extremely impressed and will use them and only them forever more.

After two convo's with their office, was informed it was booked. Mid-week received a notice an earlier appt opened up. Called back, can't do, already rearranged my schedule for Fri, as requested that Monday. Was told I'd receive a "Robo" call the day before, never happened. Called 1st thing Fri to confirm our appt since a technician hadn't shown up. Office said "did you not receive a Robo call?" Nope, I did not. Can you tell me what time the technician is coming, I requested an AM appointment. Yes, your technician is coming between 11-2pm. That's not an AM appt., unless they show before noon, right? Wouldn't be a big deal, unfortunately, I'd ask and received confirmation from two of the three individuals I spoke to, and both confirmed that I was still scheduled from 8-10am. The point is simple, when you rearrange your entire week for a confirmed appt from 8-10, then you're informed the day of the appt that your tech "should arrive 11-2pm", without a call from their office (I had to call and follow up), it's extremely frustrating. When I told the office I couldn't do 11-2, the person on the phone began to get rude and said "that's our AM appointment slot." They then closed my claim, didn't tell me, and when I called my Warranty provider to share what was going on, even the provider apologized and mentioned they'd received several complaints, apologized, and recommended I call another repair company and to submit my bill & they would reimburse me as a result of the poor service from A-Tech. I called Mr. Appliance & was extremely impressed with their office and process. Just like they said, I received a text the day before my appointment, with a picture and introduction of the technician confirming my 8-10AM appointment. I then received another text & phone call, from Mr. Appliance the morning of, informing me the technician was on his way. The technician arrived at 8AM, as planned. He was extremely professional, used his own door mat on our porch (so not to dirty ours), and was done by 9ish. Extremely polite, clean, knowledgeable, and efficient. My recommendation, don't waste your time with A-Tech,. Call Mr. Appliance. You won't be disappointed! I learned the hard way. Hopefully, this will save you the frustration.
