Daniel was awesome. Its the communication Sears only let's you speak to AI and I think it's the worst thing that they could've ever done. My appointment got switched from Wednesday the day I stayed home all day to Thursday then to Friday then to .Monday without consulting me. They finally showed up on Friday and I had 2 different appointments both showing up early after I told them I would only be available 3:15-5:00 which they also confirmed. AI still let the technicians arrive early. Sears you need to have a live person available I had questions that I couldn't get answers to. AI switched my appointments back in forth through text and emails never speaking to me on the phone to see if it was ok.Each appointment they changed was set for 8:00 -5:00 meaning I would've had to take another day off after I had already taken Wednesday off. read more

Each time the Sears technicians came to look at our broken wall microwave it's a new story. They are very polite, yes , but: First time: Technician says he needs another person to help him pull it out of the wall. Return visit: "You need a new microwave ", they tell us. Follow up never happened- paperwork not forwarded to our Home Warranty Insurance as per our call to them 2 weeks after Sears came and recommended new microwave. Boooo Arranged for second set of technicians to come out to 'Start the process all over'- what? They came out and say we need a part. They order part and it arrives at our house- Technicians return to our house to install part. ( always new people) and they say : part is wrong and the entire microwave needs to be replaced. -what? We are back to the beginning!! Booo In between these visits were time consuming phone calls to the Home Warranty Co trying to locate paperwork Sears never sent over So the saga continues for us. Automated voice assistant was accurate giving us updates re when the many technicians would arrive . But I asked her each time to tell them to park on the street ( 4 times) Never done. I requested a service call to learn the reason for the loud noise coming from the dryer when in use. The appointment window time was adjusted twice, later than the original time frame of 9-12 then, 2-4 to 3-5. The technician arrived at 2pm, thankfully, and was able to determine the cause of the problem. He did not have the part on hand, which would need to be ordered. The repair would have to be scheduled for a different day, meaning another day off work and the estimate for parts and labor was more than the cost of a new dryer. The technician was somewhat pushy regarding the payment, which was completed with a link sent to my email. I had to turn on my laptop to get to the email to get to the link. So, I paid the service call fee to learn the cause of the noise. Had the issue resolved in a more economic and time friendly manner. read more

I made a complaint to the Attorney General of Virginia regarding the lack of support and follow-up by the Warranty Home Services . We purchased the refrigerator/freezer in 2011 and had warranty every year since - a cost to us and boon to you of $1500. Yet when we finally needed service, you did not care to notify uf when the technician was coming or if he was NOT. You ignored a followup appointment when your technician did not come and you could care less, rescheduling to another 2 week wait. Received a bill and a message stating repairs complete. Received no call, did not see anyone show (yes I have been home waiting). Unit area does not appear to have been worked on. Unit still does not work, disconnect link was not installed... and when installed to ON position, HVAC still does not blow cool air. No repair or contact, but a bill. On May 14, 2025 I scheduled an appointment with Sears Home Services to repair/ replace the lower icemaker on my Samsung refrigerator for May 22, 2025 between 8 am and 12 noon despite their claims that they have same day or next day service. I received texts daily that they would come on May 22 and a technician would call that morning with a time. I never received a call and at 11:19 am the morning of the appointment I received a message from Sears Home Service that they would not be coming and offered to reschedule for more than a week later. This was totally unacceptable and a waste of my time. I didn't want to give them even 1 star but you have to in order to post a review. When you call their number it is automated with voice message only and you cannot talk to a person. read more

I had a service call scheduled for June 7th for a dryer issue. The appointment was rescheduled "due to unforeseen circumstances" for June 16th (yesterday). The same issue happened yesterday and now my appointment is rescheduled for July 5th. I am now without a dryer for a month. This shouldn't happen on an appliance that is 6 months old and still under warranty. I need a resolution and a sooner appointment. Every time I call the service number I get a call tree and no option to speak with a real person. I am absolutely livid... This is the second service call I've had to make (first one for the washer). Definitely don't buy the GE Profile washer and dryer. Absolute garbage company and support. At this point I just want my money back for these extra large garbage cans. After initial diagnosis and ordering of parts the repairman didn't show up to complete the service twice after scheduling. Once he did show up the original repairman misdiagnosed the problem and estimate doubled in cost. Throughout this process there is/was no way to reach a live person. The webpage to track status was not updated not was the automated phone line. I was given a partial refund for my troubles but the waste of time and hassle in dealing with them makes it not worth the trouble. Definitely do not recommend them or the subcontractors they use. read more

10/18/24 jaekwon r tells us the fridge is damaged from when it was installed and needed to be replaced. He states fridgidair will call us to set up replacement. Two weeks goes by and nothing so I called and apparently jaekwon told them I refused the repair. 11/4 new appt and they cancel at 3 pm 11/13 new appt with jaekwon r, he calls me at 11:41 am and says he will be there in 15 minutes. I called at 230 bc he's still not here and they say he's running behind and will call me. While we are speaking about the tardiness I receive an email with a receipt from jaekwon r stating I refused repair and he forged my initials. read more

Dealing with Sears Home Services has been one of the worst experiences with a my business I've had in many years. As far as communication, all scheduling is done virtually, in which my 1st appointment was a "no show". A technician did show up on the second day and was nice at least. After the technician was finished, we had to pay for the service by him contacting a call center. We did not receive an invoice or receipt. Two days later and we still have not received one. I tried to contact their customer service, but you can only communicate with an AI assistant that is no help at all. We finally were able to get a phone number to talk to a live person which is a call center in India. After two calls, we were told that the paperwork and receipt are still being processed and that it could take another 24 hours which is ridiculous. By far, this is worst customer service you can receive. read more

Our refrigerator at work went out. Not cooling at all. Since we bought it at Sears I thought it would be most beneficial to call them to service it. First day appointment estimate was between 8am and 5pm. At 2pm I went to check on the estimated time of arrival and it said after 7pm. I had notated that this was a business and our hours were 9 - 4:30. I messaged with someone in the service department and decided it would be best to reschedule for the following day. Next thing I know, at 1:03pm, we got a picture of the front of our building, which is always unlocked, and a note that nobody was "home". I am really upset with this Company. My Washer is broken and i requested an Appointment with Sears Home Service. I got one call with an actual Person that asked me to describe the Problem and we agreed to a Date. They told me (and sended me about 10 Emails and Text messages) that the Technician will arrive between 8 AM and 5 PM. We agreed to pay about 140 $ just for the Technician to show up. Luckily we did not gave any Creditcardinformation upfront. My husband took a Day off from Work to be available for them. Around 4.30 PM we got an Email, with an "accepted" Service Estimate of 420 $. Nobody ever showed up and we where not able to get someone on the Phone. We tried it again on the next day but again only AI available on every Phoneline that we tried. No one ever reached out and apologized or tried to reschedule. Instead we got about another 10 Text messages with some very sketchy AI to reschedule. We are all Humans and Life happens. But your Customers should be valued enough to at least acknowledge that your company put too much on the Schedule of your technicians and have the decency to give us a call to either reschedule or explain why you wasted our time.
