Sears Home Warranty is the worst service ever. Unbelievable on not fulfilling their appts. Customer service representatives are all AI. I don't have any problems with the technicians. I had the same run around as Merrill R. (Apr 23, 2025). After I posted my latest episodes with Sears (from Jun-Dec 2025), I was blocked by Yelp. I also had I Sears Tech respond to my comment. I followed his advice and made another appointment. I spoke to several people about my situation. Everyone seemed to understand and wanted to help. I was told they was going send a repair person to Maui, Hawaii from Honolulu. I was then sent to India where they could have cared less. Carl was on time, professional and explained everything about the refrigerator I hope if I ever have problems with anything in my home I get Carl. The problem with Sears service and not talking about Carl, was they didn't show up for an appointment even though they confirmed multiple times. Bad service. Also no phone number to contact. I have had this for 4 years canceled yesterday after my refrigerator broke down and it took them 3 months to get it running after ordering wrong parts or parts arrived damaged because they didn't pack correctly had spent over $2000 in those three months eating out or getting grocery shopping everyday because of no fridge. Then two months ago microwave went out took the 2 months to get fixed after they canceled two times they were supposed to show up. My dryer went out solved it by buying a new dryer only down for 4 hours. My microwave they just fixed lasted two weeks so I just bought a new one not going to wait any longer. When I called to cancel they said they would make me a priority customer if I stayed on. I said the techs are fine but you only have 4 on Maui and they have to handle the whole island. They came to diagnose a warm frig. He ordered parts. That was July, he shows up in December. Turned him away, we bought a new frog and junked the other (It was only 4 yrs old). To this day still waiting for a refund check for parts they took back.....it's now April. read more

Craftsman zero turn mower under extended service contract. New repair guy (Eugene) dispatched to replace a tire, change oil and filter. When he left the mower could not used as steering and brakes were disabled. Disaster. Usually the repair guys understand the rudiments of their job, but not this time! read more

I would give these guys a big middle finger if i could. No one showed up. My mother waited 11 hours for someone to come and service her dryer. She called multiple times only to be told to wait 2 more hours. Then finally at around 6pm, some one told her that there was a "glitch" in the system and our appointment was never there! If it wasn't there to begin with, then why did they lie and keep telling her to wait 2 more hours?! Glitches happen. I understand that. But why lie? Sears is A&E appliance repair. The worst. Lowe's, in their infinite wisdom, or to save a few bucks, uses them for their warranty repair. They only schedule repairs one day a week in Kihei. They send out a different technician to follow up and fix something when the original tech knows the issue and the follow up tech has to start from scratch. Everything about them is off-shore. Try to reschedule a botched appointment and you'll be talking to someone in Pakistan. They are the worst. Sorry Sears, you can call your company whatever name you want and the service is still the worst. read more

After scheduling our appointment 3 weeks earlier we waited at home during the 4 hour "window" we were given. No one showed up. We got a call one hour later informing us that the repair man had been held up on another job. We were told we woould have to reschedule ourselves -- so wait another 3 weeks. At the very least I would expect sears to reschedule at the earliest possible time. Really cumbersome. I'm looking elsewhere. read more

The repairmen are excellent. The problem is the machine and the length of time it takes for them to come. It took over a month for them to come and if I had not called to check I would still be waiting. The large capacity stack washer/dryer has needed a new motor, transmission and main circuit board twice now in just over a year. read more

In case anyone is wondering, as of today this is referred out to someone else, as Sears national company admits they cannot obtain service on Maui. And there is still no repair performed for an essential kitchen appliance. In addition to "don't use their service department," I'd add, "don't buy their products." read more

Steer clear of Sears Appliance Repair. We've been living out of coolers for a week -- waiting for our Friday appointment (they only work in Kihei on Fridays) where they were to install a new compressor for our broken refrigerator. Sears repair guy just showed up without the compressor! Says even if he had it, he couldn't install it because it's a 3 hour job and there are 3 more customers to see after me. Also, FYI, they push their "whole home" warranty package, but neglect to say they only have technicians in Kihei on Fridays. read more

What a great experience. I called on Tuesday and was scheduled for a Monday service call. On Wednesday they called and asked if Thursday would work for me. I said sure and they said he would be there between 10 and 2. About 11 am they sent me an email saying he was headed for our house along with a tracking button to see his current location. I was able to track his travel and see when he was entering our neighborhood. He came into the garage and quickly diagnosed the problem with our refrigerator. A few minutes later the refrigerator problem had been resolved. I would definitely recommend them. read more

I've been a Sears customer all my life. I'm a regular of purchasing clothes to appliances. Bought all of our tools from Sears and use to buy our tires there as well. I bought a refrigerator 2 years ago and last year March 2020 bought an upright freezer. Unfortunately on Christmas day 2020, the freezer stopped working. We called for service and was given a January appointment. The service man Eugene called and said after 2 customers, he's on his way. A couple of hours later, I received a text that it was canced. We called him back, apparently he forgot what he told us. He showed up but told us he can't fix it and someone else will call us to set another appointment. I received a text stating the appointment would be on January 25, 2021. Eugene called me and asked if anyone came before, I told his they did, not knowing it was the same Eugene that came the first time. He even asked me if I was sure and if they had a Sears van. I told him the same van parked at Sears at the mall. Before he hung up he, he said he'd see us in an hour. He came to the house 1 1/2 hour later. I asked what the difference of his 1st visit to this one. He said he needs to check on something. After he was done. He said he needs to order a board and someone else will be back on February 11 to fix the freezer with the new part but not guaranteed it will be fix. If that happens, they'll need to set up a replacement. On Christmas day, we lost all our food from the freezer. It was our food for the Covid-19 emergency stock. All we wanted was our freezer to be fix. The manager who we left a message to call us back never call us back. I purchased all my children's clothes and grandchildren and gifts. Maybe not anymore. I'm very disappointed in Sears. I'm glad my father is not alive to see how Sears is run. Sad. read more

Sears repair actually deserves no star because no one showed up. The previous week they came to do an assessment of my dishwasher, gave me an estimate of $530 to repair, demanded payment in full (not just a deposit like the refrigerator repairman dis a week prior) and then did not show up at all on the day of the appointment. I took off of work to be home during the 8am-12noon appt time. Now I'm still waiting for someone to repair my dishwasher. I've already paid for it in full! read more

They scheduled 10 days out, then went to the wrong address. When I called the technician who had left a message on my phone, he said that he was not the one scheduled to repair my refrigerator even though he had left a message. He finally agreed to come back, but then no showed. The person on the phone was not even remotely apologetic nor tried to save my business. read more

My maintenance repairman showed up ahead of time! Yeah. He did a great job and my washer and dryer are now like new. He cleaned the vents and checked everything. He was a real nice gentleman who I liked a lot. read more
