My LG refrigerator went out in September; called Sears cause that's where I purchased it at, before they went out of business. But obtained a warranty, which was about to expire. Thank God; just right before it was to expire. I called, they provided, and honored my warrary,but here's the kicker. It was thought a private contractor third pary; I guess since Sears is no longer a thing. Anywho; the Jack azz, they have it with a (Percy) that's out of Fort Wayne. That has an appliance repair business, just curious if the home town people get the same; if they allow him to serve their repair? To say the least, (Percy) is simply trash...is all I can say. I'm handicap in a wheelchair adue to MS, and explained that to him. Looking for a bit of empathy, and hope that would HELP... him;in Hope's that he would come on out. Fridge was out of warranty, of course cus even if you buy the extended warranty that's how it goes. Freezer has been leaking for months, not a lot, but enough to soak a dish towel over a few days time. Finally called Sears to get a repair. James L was my tech. He was friendly and professional. My trap pipe was clogged. He fixed it and was on his merry way. Haven't had a leak since *knock on wood* cus it was expensive enough the first go-round. Don't want a repeat! I waited months for my ice maker to be repaired and this technician assured me it was finally fixed this time. He indicated I just needed to make sure I throw the first batch of ice away because it may have plastic in it because he installed the new ice make. I just had a very bad experience with sears home repair. My washer is not working I called and got an appointment for 8-2-18 between 1:00pm-5:00pm to no avail I called customer service at 5:20pm she assured me they were on target and would call me at 5:30, so at 6:00 pm I'm calling again and get another story, finally at 7:30 the tech calls me and asked me to reschedule, of course, after waiting 6.5 hours I was steaming. I certainly will not call sears again and I suggest that you don't go through this like I did they just don't care. I guess I'll call GE appliance repair tomorrow after all my day was shot here, I mean I could have cut my grass but I was afraid I would not hear the phone ring. Stupid me!!!! read more

I have been without my washer for 2 months. I called the appliance repair customer service and have taken off of work three times. The repair persons still could not fix my washer due to some mother board, that needs a part. What really pisses me off is, we have a extended warranty for our washer. What a joke!! When I call them they keep saying I understand!! How can they we are working people, that have to purchase clothing to go to work. Do not make any purchases appliances from them. Don't bother even calling these people. I remember as a kid, our Kenmore washer lasted for-no joke-30 years. It might need a couple hundred dollar repair every now and then but it was quality, and more importantly, service was reasonable. I don't understand now, how we got to the point that appliances are disposable. I called on my 6 year old LG washer-it sounded like hell on spin (a front load) and everything I could see online said it would have been the bearings. I only do 1-2 loads a week, so, side note, stay away from LG. Tech came out. Sears is the same as A&E service. He looks at it ($89 Service call) and quotes a $660 repair (bearing, plus new drum and door seal). Ridiculous. Then he tries to sell me on Sears home warranty to cut 50% off, only $360 a month for a year. What a joke. Did I want to do it? No. I'll buy a new washer. Bought a new washer (Whirlpool, essentially same manufacturer as Maytag, which came recommended from friends and family, just less features) from Grand Appliance. Seems as though Sears probably invents their techs to sell warranties, but techs are inflating the bill to justify the warranty. Sears used to stand for something, but clearly no longer. To add to it, it took 20 minutes to pay for the service call-they had to call in to a voice prompt card authorization number and my tech didn't know how to use it and hard to call two supervisors for help. read more

This is the second appointment in a row that we were scheduled 1-5 pm and they have arrived after 6 pm. This appointment is just to install the part that was ordered 2 weeks ago. Maybe if we schedule a morning appt they can get here before 5 pm. read more

Warning - when the website says that a service call is $87 (even if they can't repair it), it's not going to be $87 - we were charged $180 for a 15 minute assessment of our washing machine, noting that the drum needed replacement, and that the part is not available to them. Complaints about the unfair additional charges can only be addressed to a foreign call center whose employees read "stock" answers ("We have a 30 day guarantee on repairs, would you like the technician to return?" was useless unless he could economically fabricate and replace a washing machine drum!), are incapable of understanding English well enough to address your complaint, and aren't authorized to make any refunds. Bottom line? If you run into any problem, the only recourse you'll have is to sue Sears. Good luck getting paid before they go bankrupt. read more

Sears Repair took THREE MONTHS to repair a failed compressor on my three-year-old fridge. I explained the refrigerator was still under warranty but it didn't matter, they still charged me $440 to replace the compressor, after making me wait three months without my fridge. Horrible service and I will never buy another Sears product. So sad, as they once were so reliable and customer-focused. LG makes this refrigerator for Kenmore and LG has a lawsuit against them so if your LG compressor goes out, you pay nothing and they will replace it. Not Sears though. They still charge you even though the parts are under warranty. read more

Absolute WORST home service I've ever experienced. Service window was 1pm-5pm for clothes dryer not heating up. After 5pm service technician finally calls saying he'd been tied up at the call prior to mine, and still needed to take his lunch break. I called the technician back myself twice between 6pm and 7pm to find out if and when he'd be arriving. Service guy assures me he's still coming and FINALLY arrives after 8PM and has NO PARTS ON HIS TRUCK. Long and short had him phone supervisor who instructed him, ensuring me tech would return asap next morning to install needed fuse. Next morning technician arrives, starts banging on dryer to supposedly get this part out. Then admitedly he touched a wire and blew my kitchen circuit breaker, now he can't get the breaker to flip and says," YOU'RE BREAKER IS BROKEN". After 10 mins he figures our that he hadn't been pushing it over far enough. I'm over the entire situation and demand he call his supervisor. He tells me he broke protocol when he was at my home the previous night when he "allowed" me to speak with his as he put it "boss"and says he has to go to his truck for the #. Which is simply the 800 # for customer service. Long and short now my dryer which worked but had no heat DOES NOT WORK AT ALL.AND NOW WONT EVEN POWER ON. I requested he put my dryer back together and LEAVE. I'm beyond disappointed with Sears and after 30 years will never purchase another major appliance from them. read more

These guys were to provide a preventative maintenance call for our refrigerator which was part of our service contract. We waited for two months due to Covid and then the day came. I took the day off work and waited for my technician who was supposed to arrive between 8am and Noon. I called at 11:30am when I didn't hear anything and was told by the person in the call center (obviously an off shore location) that the dispatcher would call me. I never got a call so I called again at 3pm and was told that the service had been completed??? They never showed up then marked it complete!!! At the end of the day they offered to reset the appointment for an additional two months down the road. I have been a SEARS and SEARS appliance repair customer for 40 years. I'm done with these guys. Extremely disappointed in the Sears Appliance Repair department! I took off worked two days to get a repair resolved to no avail. The first time no one showed, called, or texted. After I contacted Sears to inquire what had happened, they told me the repairman was too busy and couldn't get to me... or apparently even contact me to tell me. The second time after finally getting on their schedule again and taking off work again... they canceled the day of the repair. After I called Sears to inquire about a replacement repairman they told me I'd have to wait another 2 weeks to get on their schedule. I am done with Sears. Why can't i give zero stars? Or even negative stars. 6 year old Kenmore water heater failed, leaking. Called early Saturday morning to request service then received call a couple hours later canceling service call due to weather. It was raining. . Waited till Monday, no water since we were unable to turn off water to heater only to learn they did not want to honor the 12 year warranty since we weren't the original purchasers. Gave up and contacted a reputable plumbing company who was there within 3 hours with a new water heater. Hot water by 7 pm! Don't call Sears! read more

Customer Service ONLY. I called to schedule an appointment to have a technician come out and repair our washer. The salesman on the phone was very pushy trying to sell me his total home warranty program. I declined multiple times and he finally let it go. The soonest appointment was almost a week and a half later. In addition, For just a technician to step in the door it was going to be $90. That did not include any parts or labor for the repair. About a week later I called to cancel the appointment. I bought a $15 part on Amazon and made the repair myself. When I called to cancel I was put on hold for over six minutes. When the salesman asked why I was canceling I said I repaired it myself.He then literally laughed into the phone and suggested that I still have the technician come out and service the washer. I again had to repeat myself multiple times that I simply wanted to cancel the appointment. I let the person know I did not appreciate his condescending tone nor did I think $90 just to come out and look at things was reasonable. He finally canceled the appointment after I had to tell him three or more times. Not very happy with my over the phone experience with Sears. Water heater was installed in 2012. Bought the warranty which is good until 2020. Sprung a leak 04/21/2018. The water heater is on backorder and cannot be delivered until 04/28/18. This is ridiculous. Who knows when it will be installed. Next water heater I am buying from Lowes, same day or next day install. No wonder Sears is going under. read more

Have all the parts but they don't contract with enough places to get the serviceman out in a timely manner. After looking without success for the source of a water leak in my out of warranty LG washer, I gave up and called A&E/Sears service. The person who came to my house was professional, found the leak quickly and promptly replaced the door seal (using tools I don't own). The bill, while not cheap, was about as expected. read more

Absolute worst service from sears, we wouldn't even rate them a one star if the website didn't make us. My grandparents (who don't use facebook) were without a washing machine from August 1, 2016- November 21, 2016. They were assigned to a service man from circle city repair who spoke repeatedly with sears trying to resolve the issue to no avail. The control panel was repaired but malfunctioned and needed to be reordered. In the mean time the door lock wasn't working either and a new one was ordered. Both of these orders took weeks to come in, apparently because their washing machine is "to old" and parts are not readily available. Once both of those were finally fixed, the washing machine still didn't function. After removing the lower panel the man found that the last time sears was out to "repair" the washing machine what they considered "repairing" was really using aluminum foil and electrical tape to "fix" it for the time being. Now keep in mind during this time Sears deleted the work order without notifying my grandparents, prolonging the situation and then had to call in a whole new order. My grandparents demanded dealing with circle city and not sears while sears did not follow that request they scheduled 2 appointments with a sears repair man who never showed up each time. Fast forward circle city was able to come out again and had to order some kind of strap to hold everything in place. Finally the washing machine is functioning, but we expect to have to call in the future as it seems to already not be working correctly. Sears offered $50 for the 3.5 months they were with out a washing machine for their inconvenience to do their laundry else where. My grandparents are in their 70's and 80's and do not deserve this sort of treatment. Never again will they or any of our family step foot or purchase ANYTHING from Sears. read more
