I hired Sears Home Services to replace the cooling fan motor in a KitchenAid refrigerator. After the initial visit, Sears charged me in advance for the part, then scheduled and canceled the next four repair appointments, each near the end of the four-hour service window. Customer service was equally frustrating. Communication was almost entirely through automated/AI texts and phone systems, with virtually no ability to speak with a person who could resolve the problem. After four canceled appointments, poor communication, wasted hours, and no completed repair, I ultimately filed a dispute with my bank to recover the money charged. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend avoiding Sears Home Services for appliance or refrigerator repair. The service, scheduling, communication, and customer support were unacceptable and a complete waste of time and money.

They told me without even opening the washer (all the tech did was try to run it a few times) that the entire motherboard needed replaced. Was told they would reach out to me to schedule the repair. Finally after multiple days, had to call them to get it scheduled. Once the $600 part was replaced, was told a sensor was also bad and they'd have to order that as well. Once again, I had to call THEM to get the third appointment set up. The third appointment, they missed my window, so I called and they told me they werent aware it was a two person job, even though they were just here a week ago, and would have to reschedule for another week later. Third appointment comes around, sensor replaced, and still not working. Was told there was a second sensor that was bad. Rescheduled for ANOTHER week later. Fourth appointment, they miss their window again so I call the office AGAIN and was told they were running late. Fine. About 4 30 that day, still nobody here, so I have to call them THREE TIMES until I finally get transferred to the owner, Who told me their technicians were on vacation, not even in the state.THEN WHY DID YOU MAKE THAT APPOINTMENT? Long story short, took them a full month to actually finish the job I paid up front for. Horrible management, they dont even reach out when scheduling your appointment, just put you for whatever date and time without asking if that works for you.
