I did a review and the company responded to my review saying they are so sorry for my experience and to contact them with the phone number they listed. Same old phone number that doesn't reach a live person.....but has you leave a message or tell you to got the Internet and schedule an appointment. I've gone to the BBB and CPA with reports on them and it's taken hours of my time fulfilling requests for information. It's to the point where I did not get a refund on the money I'd given them for a totally bad diagnosis of my problem. Worst company I've ever dealt with. I am completely dissatisfied with Sears repair services. I had two technicians come out and make a wrong diagnosis of my oven dysfunction. I waited two and a half months for a part on back order, For which I did not need. After two and a half months, another texhnician diagnosed the problem correctly and ordered a part. Another technician came out today and told me that the part was not available, Per the tech manager who ordered it. Per your new protocol, the part is supposed to be shipped to the technician, not the customer. So, today's technician had no idea why he was assigned to my case, rather than the previous technician, who was supposed to have received the part before coming out today to repair. He confirmed with the tech manager That the part is now unavailable, but checked on the Sears direct website and it is available. But the repair was closed out without being fixed, and I am left $900 short. Supposedly, I will receive a partial refund in 14 business days. I will see. I bought a home warranty two and a half months ago, when the tech came out and made a wrong diagnosis. Sears Home Service is absolute garbage!!!! Almost 3 months without a washer waiting on these idiots. 3 times I took off work to wait on a technician to show up between 8-5 and the appointment got cancelled 4 hours into the day or no one even showed up. No one knows how to do the most simple office task of looking up a phone number and calling to see what the problem is. First visit: I was not informed Technician needed me physically present. I had a lockbox with code mentioned when I set the appointment. I also asked my next door neighbor to represent me and give Technician access, but he was not having that. Second visit: I was never informed that since washer was unconnected due to ongoing work, that Technician will not even look at the washer to start troubleshooting. A whole day window of wait was given. No hour courtesy call before arrival. Waited between 8am and 1:30 pm. He just simply dropped in. Imagine if I was getting lunch when he arrived. He would have simply left again without speaking to me. Policies and Technician needs should be adequately communicated when appointments are set up. Service was fine, dealing with Sears about credit due is impossible. Original estimate was $800+, which we paid. Actual charge was over $200 less. 60 days later, no credit issued. No response to letters or email. Phone is always busy. Avoid Sears unless you want to be taken advantage of. read more

Zero stars. Paid $250 for the cleaning and maintenance package. After cancelling the first appointment, the technician came at the very end of the time frame. When he said he was done, I asked about how bad the washer was and he said not bad, but after he left I found that he hadn't cleaned it at all. I went to the trouble myself to get to the filter to see if it was cleaned and found it filthy and untouched. Sears said they could send someone back to clean it, but I would have to pay $99. I had to fight with them not to charge me. I've since found that he also didn't clean the other appliances as listed on the website. They scheduled a return visit for the next day, and after waiting all day, no one showed up. I paid $250 with nothing to show for it. When I try to call either Sears or the company that they contacted to do the job, I can't seem to get anyone to respond. I feel like I've been scammed. I just want my washer cleaned like I paid for. read more

Our refrigerator went out on July 5th, we couldn't get anyone to come check it out until the 7th. Said we had to order parts. We paid for the parts and labor only to be told no one would be able to come out and fix it until today the 26th sometime between 8-5. I've been sitting in my living room all day waiting for a repair man to show up. I never got a notification or anything that he was on the way, he claims he knocked and rang the door bell but I never heard or saw anyone. Now we have to wait until they reschedule again?! The repair man I tried to call wouldn't answer his phone he would only text me. He was rude and unprofessional. I have been without my refrigerator for 3 weeks now. This is ridiculous. And now he won't give me his supervisors number. I will not use this company or recommend them for anything. Very angry and just want my refrigerator back. read more

My experience with Sears Home Services was terrible. If I could give them 0 stars, I would. First, let me say that the tech who came was professional and knowledgeable. My issue is with the scheduling/routing department. From my first call for service to being able to use my fridge was 90 days. That's right, 3 months. The first appointment was made on May 21 for June 5, two weeks later. I received three reminder emails during the days prior to my appointment, one of which told me "Your appointment is today. Be sure someone is home." After I rearranged my schedule to be sure I was home, about 10:00 am on June 5 I received a phone call telling me there was no tech available for my area and I would need to reschedule for an additional three weeks out, June 25 . On June 25 the tech came, diagnosed the problem as a blown compressor, ordered parts, and scheduled a return appointment for an additional three weeks out, July 17. As stated above, he was a pleasure. On the morning of July 17, after receiving no reminder emails, I called to confirm the appointment. I was assured that the appointment was definitely happening, no worries. Ten minutes after hanging up, I received a phone call that no tech was available for my area and we had to reschedule for an additional 4 weeks out, August 13. Although I received reminder emails for the August 13 appointment, I did not believe it would actually happen until the tech called to say he was on his way. During this whole 90 days I lived without my fridge, having to grocery shop almost every day, and had to reschedule activities on two different days to be home for appointments that never happened. The compressor was under warranty or I would not have waited. After being told I would have to wait for two weeks for my first appointment, I called another appliance repair company who had a tech at my home the next day. They also diagnosed a blown compressor and could repair it within a week, but it would have cost $1,500. My fridge is now working. The tech was polite, professional, knowledgeable, and respectful. My experience with scheduling/routing was totally different. I checked the Better Business Bureau website (after the fact) and Sears Home Services' own Facebook page. Both show that this is not an isolated instance. Beware of using Sears Home Services. Beware also of purchasing any item from Sears that will need maintenance, even under warranty. read more

This is without a doubt the worst outfit I have ever dealt with!! Do not order any home improvement products or services from Sears Home out of Charlotte!! I purchased a bathroom remodel in January. They finally arranged to start in April despite having already charged me over 4000 dollars before they even started! I missed two days of work to be here when they said they would be but they never showed and never called even after several calls to them! When they finally showed up I wished that they hadn't! The installer completely botched every aspect of the installation. It looked as though a two year old had done it. In fact a two year old would likely have done a better job! I called the Charlotte office and emailed pictures of the pathetic work and the manager finally called me back and said they would be sending a "fixer" to take a look. The fixer determined very quickly that the entire job had to be ripped out and started over. They came and did the demolition and left. I have not heard from them in any way since! It has been a month since the demolition was done and I have heard NOTHING from the manager despite SEVERAL calls and messages. I have no master bathroom at this point and all I have to show for my 4000$ is a pile of removed material on my front steps! The only thing that functions in my bathroom is the toilet and that's because I finally installed it myself after being without one for 3 weeks!! There has been absolutely no contact from Sears at all! I have no idea what they are planning to do if anything at all. DO NOT USE SEARS HOME FOR ANYTHING!!! Absolutely the worst example of business practice and customer service I have EVER SEEN!! No service, no response and no plan at all for fixing THEIR MISTAKE!! AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS!! Worst experience ever! Do not go with Sears! They did not show up for several scheduled appointments causing us to miss several days of work for no reason with no compensation or discount offered for our inconvience, they order the wrong size window not once but twice, the siding they installed looked like a 5 year old done it. They had to come back and redo it not only because it looked awful but they again did not have all the right material. I spent countless hours on the phone almost begging them to come measure and install my ordered pruduct in the first place. This job drug out for 4 months! This experience was a nightmare! Terrible service. This latest visit to repair the oven in my range was the 7th home visit and the oven still is not operating correctly. I cannot bake a cake or cook a roast. This oven has never worked properly. So-called repairs have been made and still the oven is not working accurately. I am a baker and I am sick and tired of the Sears Home Service repair which never repairs my oven. My extended warranty is about to run out and I have not been able to use the oven in the past 35 months of the 36 month warranty. I will never buy anything from Sears again and the service plan is a joke. Do not waste your money on the warranty. Do not buy a range from your local neighborhood store. And, do not expect the service technicians to do their job. On this latest visit, two technicians showed up, but after their vsiit, the oven still is not working and they did not even put the range back in its correct place. What a bad deal this has been. I was supposed to have a technician come look at our freezer for $120 between 8am and 12pm. Nobody called or showed up. At 4pm my fiance called to find out what was going on, we were told that within an hour a tech would call to come out. A little after 7pm I had to call again bc nobody had called or shown up yet. They verified that they had the correct phone number and address, which they did, and said they didn't know why nobody had contacted us. The technician was unable to make it to our residence and just decided not to call to reschedule. Since it was after 7pm customer service was unable to reschedule our appointment. I just had surgery and am not able to move around so my fiance took the day off to let the technician in. We will be taking our business elsewhere to a company who knows what customer service means, and who will show up to an appointment or call if there is a conflict!
