The reviews were decent enough that I even ordered a dish I don't eat. catfish and grits. the sauce on the grits was flavorful and was no need to add salt or pepper. flavor popping with onions, peppers and whatever the butter sauce the roux was made of. the catfish was crispy but not too much because I don't like crispy and overly fried fish. full of flavor and not overly seasoned. hey! mentally I was struggling knowing i was eating catfish ( normally won't eat it) but my tastebuds was on board. no dirt or grittyness. Malia service was good. it took her awhile to come back near the end. Her service started off great. her food suggestion was on point. The space is small and quaint. Can probably accommodate about 45 to 50 people at full capacity. Few booths and few tables. First come first seat. Pricing is alignment with similar establishments. When paying please check your bill. Hand held card reader. Gratuity is automatically added. I liked Malia was transparent in stating the gratuity was already calculated in the total. Much appreciated. I would definitely come back. There were a few menu items I'd like to try. I think she mentioned a few items change seasonally. read more

The service was great! Food, not so much. It is next door to a cigar lounge so be prepared to smell the strong scent of cigars as you eat. The place was a bit small but decor was nice and bright. Ordered some takeout since I wanted to give this place a try. Did not regret at all. The place looks beautiful on the inside, and it's easy to locate. The service was great, they had me in and out. Nice guy behind the counter. Some of the best fried chicken that I have ever tasted in my life, not joking at all. Nearly tasted like my mama's chicken, I thought I was back home for a second. I generally try to avoid negative reviews (check my profile) but I feel that constructive comments are key to a business' success. Hopefully I can help a business thrive or inform consumers with my review. My family was attending the Renaissance Faire in Fairburn and wanted to grab a quick breakfast before starting a busy day. We looked up this place and thought it was promising (and the mimosa menu looked great). Sadly I can corroborate the other Yelp reviews are all correct. Customer service was abysmal, none of us were greeted and we were left to seat ourselves. We had to ask for water and a menu, and nobody came to take our orders for a good fifteen minutes. Eventually, we left to find breakfast somewhere else. The food may be good here, but we'll never know. I can also concur about the other review that we did not feel welcome there, mostly because of looks from other patrons. The cigar smoke from the establishment next door was also heavy and gave us a headache in the short time we waited there. Have to say, I thought the Smoke Free Act of 2005 put an end to that sort of thing? If the owner is reading this, I hope you know, extending your business to others and making them feel welcome is the only way for your business to grow and be successful. Isolating your business never works out for anyone. In short, if you're looking for a place to enjoy breakfast before a busy Ren Faire day, please reconsider. read more

I loved that this place isn't too far from my house but I hate that it's connected to a cigar lounge because you could smell it inside of the restaurant. They need to work on the insulation quick.. As far as the food, it was good but the wait was quite a while. I will try them again but I definitely need them to fix the smell read more

Great Fairburn brunch option! Nice and quaint with the decor. Very nice and friendly staff. Food was simple and reminded me of food cooked in a home kitchen but had its restaurant flair and delicious! Hubby and I were hungry and we wanted breakfast and it was getting kinda late in the morning. We hate having to go into Atlanta...for anything really so we decided to look for something to the South of us. We'd run across Searra's a few weeks ago but chose another spot. This week we decided to try it out and I am glad we did! It's a cute little spot with about 10 tables/booths give or take. We were greeted by the host who we later found out was the owner - very sweet and humble. She asked if we wanted takeout or dine in. We chose to dine in but had second thoughts considering it was a bit chilly in there. Could be that the recent rain brought the temperature down and are it seem cooler. It warmed up as more people came in (or they adjusted the thermostat). I originally wanted the chicken and waffles with a side of cheese eggs but when hubby ordered the catfish and grits I changed my order to match. Best decision EVER (though I'll be back for the chicken and waffles. First, presentation. Check the pic. Everything looked amazing! Now for the real test. I don't know what exactly I was expecting, but my mind was blown! When we were served we were asked if we needed anything else and I asked for hot sauce. This needed NOTHING! As far as I'm concerned they can even take the salt and pepper off the table! The fish and grits were seasoned to perfection and the eggs didn't disappoint either. My party of 4 dined in on a late Saturday morning around 1130am. We walked in and luckily snagged the last open table. The establishment is fairly small with 6 tables and 4 booths, each seating 4 people comfortably. The menu consisted of both breakfast and lunch items all reasonably priced. There are mimosas available as well with a variety of juice options. We decided on the catfish with cheese grits, cheese eggs, kids meal french toast, fruit cup, chicken sausage, peach tea, and raspberry tea. Our drinks came out immediately and the teas were amazing! I liked the peach more than the raspberry since it tasted a bit too sweet. There was quite a good wait for the food, about 35-40 minutes. When it arrived everything was just as we ordered, hot, and delicious! The catfish was seasoned well but could've used a little less breading. The dish was topped with a tasty sauce that made it stand out from any other fish and grits I've had before. I'd definitely order it again. The service was great. We were given updates on the wait before our food came out and checked on regularly. There is an automatic gratuity of 18% which we definitely don't mind. The hours are limited as the restaurant is only open Wed through Sun until 2pm. This restaurant is a great addition to the area and I'll surely be back. read more

First of, the staff was genuine, attentive and helpful from the time we arrived to the time we left. The vibe was giving breakfast at Tiffany's mixed with Neo-soul. The food was amazing. The girts were creamy, the salmon was fresh and flavorful and the omelette was delicious with all the toppings. The Georgia Peach moscato was soothing with flavor. What a wonderful discovery this was. We love breakfast and brunch, and are always looking for a new spot to try some creative dishes. We are headed home from a doctors visit for me in Atlanta and needed something special. This place fit the bill! The menu contains a great variety of traditional dishes for breakfast, as well as creative and soulful, selections for brunch and lunch. I had the catfish and grits, and was very pleased. The fresh catfish was perfectly fried with great flavor, and the grits had a wonderful spicy and creamy sauce that complemented them perfectly. The surprise or little bits of baby corn, the tip and sliced up and placed in the sauce. That was a wonderful surprise We will be back again. read more

Red flag #1: the parking lot was almost empty after noon on a Sunday! Says a lot. Red flag #2: the place smells like a hotel ash tray. Red flag #3: it was amazing the reactions and looks me and my family received when we walked in the door. The only thing missing was for the music to have stopped with the sound of a record scratching. I can speculate why, but I won't. All of those flags could have been wiped away if the server was welcoming and friendly. Unfortunately, he was not. He was very stone faced and quiet. There were only about 5 patrons in the whole place, and they were finishing up their food and leaving so we were surprised at how long it was taking to get our drinks, especially when 2 of them were bottled drinks. I'm giving this place two stars instead of one because I like to give people the benefit of the doubt (maybe he was having a bad day) and we also didn't taste the food. The whole experience was so uncomfortable, we left after it took about ten minutes to tell us they didn't have decaf coffee. I wouldn't go back even if you paid me. read more

This was my first time going to this establishment...and last! I went today around noon. The place is very small, only a few can dine in at once. I stood, in the front, for sometime before I was recognized and seated. one seated, no menus were given. after waiting about 15 minutes, I asked another customer if I can see their menu. when ordering, there were a lot of items that they were out of. We settled for a salad and a breakfast sandwich. With these simple meals, we waited for appx 30 minutes to receive. in the meanwhile, many people turned around because no one was up front to notice them. They also closed the store around 1:30 instead of 3:00. They need more servers and cooks because w lot of business was lost today. Not impressed! read more

Discovered this place by accident....was near the hotel we stayed at in Fairburn, Georgia. I had the chicken and waffles...oh my God...it was delicious...my better half had the shrimp and grits....that dish was fabulous also...the server was friendly and very personal. Thought I try this place out. I got the chicken and waffles, my wife built her own omelette. The chicken and waffles and omelette was not worth the wait. We didn't get our food until after an hour of waiting. I glanced to the kitchen area, and all I saw was open bottles of champagne and juice sitting room temperature. Me and my husband came here for breakfast. We arrived at 11:15a and stood around for about 15min waiting for tables to get cleaned so we could have a seat (self-seating). Once seated we waited another 15-20min for our order to be taken (mind you... it wasn't that crowded). The place severely needs more staff. Our waitress was nice but I'm not sure if waitressing is her ministry. You know the service is bad when we've seen at least 3-4 groups (who were sitting down) leave due to the wait or lack of attentiveness from staff. The wait staff seem to be running around with their necks cut off due to disorganization. My partner and I visited this brunch spot on last saturday 08/12/2023 for his bday. And the most pleasant voice I heard on the phone while making reservations happened to be our waitress. When we arrived, we met with the hostess, who showed us to a reserved sign at our booth and the experience remained excellent from there. The food was excellent. The place was clean and very colorful and cheery. Definitely they could use more help on the weekends, as the host was the waitress and she was trying to take care of tables and seat new patrons, I will definitely come back and dine in again. read more
