Got some Sumol passion fruit. I had recently been in Portugal & hadn't seen this flavour (it was always orange, often pineapple). Very delicious pastries. I've ordered from the regular menu and from the Too Good To Go app and the food quality is always good. The place has a steady flow of customers and can get a bit of a wait when there's a line. read more

We used to buy from this place, and their cakes used to be excellent, but the quality and freshness have gone downhill. They now sell old cakes as if they were fresh. When we tried to exchange the cake, it was even worse they had more old cakes on display in this location. You also have to call them to the other location yourself and even drive from one store to another just to get a fresh replacement. It's really sad because my family and I used to buy from them a lot, but after this bad experience, we no longer trust or recommend this place. read more

Ordered 6 pastries yet I was still charged 13% tax, by law, purchase of 6 should be NO TAX. The pastries were mediocre in quality; dry and unsatisfactory. Prices are expensive for lacklustre pastries, totally not worth the calories! No prices displayed. Service in English is spotty. Not recommended. read more

I enjoy the big breakfast at this bakery! Everything always tastes fresh but a few times I had to send back my plate just to ensure my egg was cooked over hard! The price is VERY reasonable for the large portion size. The waitress needs to either find a new job or fake a smile because she is miserable as hell. She won't even crack a smile- not something you want to see first thing in the morning (sorry). The place is overall well kept. Looking for a quick lunch around the area, and attracted by their yellow sign and black awning. Stepped in and my mood was uplifted right away by seeing their large range of pastries and cakes. The smell of freshly baked bread gave off the mouth-watering aroma. I had a chicken soup and pastries. The soup was delicious and meat was tender. The bread that came with it was warm. It was crispy outside and soft inside. We ordered two pastries and both were puffy and yummm.......... one with custard filling and one with egg yolk. We spotted a picture of Portuguese tart while having the pastries...... and .......... figured out this might be a Portuguese bakery. My guess was indeed correct after talked with the staff. Open late!!!! Does this place ever close? Actually when i got home after midnight, I saw the lights off. I can't say enough about the hours of this place. Its open till 10 or 11, i never really know, but its open when ever you need bread for a meal, unless you are pulling an all nighter. On weekends the place is packed with people of all ages grabbing a snack or coffee. Have stuck to the food only, so I can't comment on the drinks. When this place first opened, I didn't like the bread and stayed away. In a pinch I grabbed a couple buns, and was pleasantly surprised with the freshness. One of my favourites is the GIANT hamburger bun. Is it a hamburger bun? Maybe not, but that's what i put in it. ODD note: all the stuff that looks like it will taste like a conventional croissant, does not taste like a croissant. Tastes less buttery and more dense. Tried a cheese and ham puff pastry (half price day old special) thing that looked croissant-y. It wasn't croissant-y, but was very good (even the day after). Prices are good, but not great, but hey, THEY ARE OPEN LATE!!! It's like having a Double Rainbow in a Bakery. read more

Instead of the usual paragraph form review I'll keep this one short. First of all not bad. This location is definitely better than the Keele one in terms of service. Pros: -Their deli meats are pretty darn good. I recommend the Portuguese mild salami. -Open late if you want a quick snack. Cons: - Their sandwich sauces only offer ketchup, mustard and mayo. - Need to get better beans for their coffee. - They charge $0.50 for debit transactions. read more

There are 2 of these bakeries. One here and one up Keele St. south of Lawrence. If you want to pick up some bread and pastries to go, it's not bad. I do not recommend ever taking a seat to order in. The customer service is terrible. They take a long time to come to your table, and it seems the employees have no skills in interacting with people. They attend to you in a hurry, and never check up to see if everything is ok. One time i waited 10 min for my bill, then said forget it. I paid at the cash. Been here twice so far - would def come again when I'm in the neighbourhood. First time was at the Service Ontario and got a cappuccino & chocolate croissant after... The pastry was really good and the coffee was decent; lots of foam (overflowing in fact) and chocolate sprinkled on top. Second time I was getting my car fixed nearby and stopped in for a cold sandwich - panado (breaded cutlet) of chicken... Was yummy and on fresh bread. Can be busy but they'll bring the order to your table and they are really nice here. Would not make a special trip to come but I would stop by again if I was running errands again nearby. read more

A very cute bakery, Seara is run by some very nice Portuguese folks and make some very tasty treats. Bagels and loaves of bread are sold fresh and quite reasonably priced. They also have some very nice--in addition to mediocre--simple pastries. The place is usually very busy, with a packed patio on warmer days. Some of the staff speak only a little english but there's always someone else who can help out. read more

Location is nice since there's a value village near by that you can browse at. The bakery has a wide selection of food but caters mostly to Portuguese pallets Ordered the warm sandwich with cheese and turkey, but it was rather crispy.. Overall come here and try something new. I like Seara Bakery because the food is great such as, the Tosta Mista sandwich, the turkey sandwich, chicken sandwich and other good sandwiches. After any meal, one enjoys something sweet such as, a pastry or cake. This restaurant maintains delicious cakes which should be taken after any meal. The Seara Bakery at it's second location on Keele, is horrible. They charge extra for lettuce on a sandwich. Their customer service is beyond rude; it's usual to wait at the counter with no one ahead of you in line for upwards of 5mins before someone even addresses you. Cappuccinos and lattes are served with foam and milk spilling over the tops and down the sides of the cup with not even an attempt to wipe it off. The last time I was in, I ordered a brewed coffee, which was spilled on the GROUND, picked back up, and the paper cup was rinsed off in the sink and attempted to be reserved to me. On Sunday Nov 26, 2017, I came in at Seara Bakery in Woodbridge,ON, with a friend of mine for breakfast. She has never been at your bakery before, I was so happy to take her there. It took me a bit to get someone and to have them clean our table to be seated and to get the menu. Then after ordering it took the food long to be served to us. I understand they were busy, things happen. I waited and waited, and finally i said something. Apparently the girl told the cook our order, but she forgot about us. So now we had to wait all over again. The new girl , i guess she was cause i have not seen her before, started argue with me and getting very defensive with me. I did not like it. Should never act that way with a customer. At least do not say anything. Coffee came way before the breakfast so it was cold and done by time it came the food. I was so embarrassed about this all with my friend being there the first time, and the way the waitress was talking to me in front of my friend. I sent this complaint in to the owner of Seara Bakery in Woodbridge,ON , but owner never messaged me back, no response back. This is a really solid Portuguese bakery. Great walnut custard strudel, apple cake, and little custard torte thingies.
