Some people might not appreciate where I'm coming from and some, might even resent, what I'm gonna say and that's fine. I get it. I don't blame anyone who does resent me or my reason, for their 5 star review. The type of service they gave me, in my time of need, made a huge difference in my life-whether anyone believes people deserve breaks or not. SDG&E helped me with my payments, this past year, under strict guidelines. I followed them and am NOW, almost out from under that dark cloud and I couldn't be more grateful to them for that. I'm sorry, to the people who get upset, when they think they are paying for someone else's FREE RIDE. The ride wasn't completely free, but it was manageable. I was able to have a balance, that wasn't a Goliath, but would still keep me paying, but ON TIME. I appreciate how they heard me out and then helped me out, in the most human way. I was completely amazed by it and will remain eternally grateful. Thank you, SDG&E!!

The crews are always on point with their work--excellent climbers, precision cutters, and fantastic cleaners, especially given the mess that yard work produces. We have hired Robin's team several times in the past six years: to trim a massive Italian pine tree, a palm tree, and a mandarin tree at one home (during the appropriate season for each), and at a new home now, a much larger project that is being done in phases. We've just completed phase one, which included the removal of a huge Brazilian Pepper Tree, several Liquid Amber trees, a Camphor tree, the removal of shrubs/bushes, and some trimming of privacy trees. It unfortunately happened to be super hot during their last visit, and the crew somehow still didn't miss a beat! Our new neighbors praised the work of Robin's crew as well, which really says something. This company is my go-to for tree trimming, plant removal, and soon enough, new landscaping. Called again (now have wasted 45 minutes due to their ineptitude), said I had to resubmit. I asked what if that doesn't go through, she said call again. I asked for a better way to get a human as the menuing system has NO option to speak to a person. She became a broken record saying I had to go through the menu system. DUH. HORRIBLE. It makes me laugh each time I walk in. I have to give props to the tellers who work in this office though! The language barrier between them and their clientele is insane. Most are Arabic, Spanish and have very broken accents, its hard to understand them, and even if the teller is frustrated, sometimes it shows, but never once are they mean or does their frustration come across as awful customer service! They try to explain whatever the case may be to the client as many ways as possible in English until they understand! So that was nice! I went in to set up service for my new place. The gentleman C.S Rep I got was awesome! Very personable, very nice and fast! within 3 minutes, I had service set up and he even Congratulated me on getting my own new place! Updated 9/23 So…read morehere's the status. SDCP has forced the takeover of many people's electric bills, and it's no cheaper, no better. It should be cheaper, at the very least. We know that cost per kWH is cheaper with solar vs gas fired, or coal fired. So where are the savings. Non existent. Paired with the risk of changing a 20 year solar agreement with SDG&E, why would I ever take the "choice" of using SDCP? Old review 1/2022: I am an electric customer of San Diego. That makes me a defacto customer of SDCP. SDCP has written a letter indicating I need to OPT-OUT of changing my relationship with SDGE, effectively demanding that I pay them rather than SDG&E. This is unacceptable behavior. Customers are won, not taken, and I refuse to just ignore the situation and accept the default output. Until SDCP provides the terms of any new agreement exactly and in a legally binding way, any overtures of great service and good financial benefit, are meaningless.

I called SDGE to see what's going on and they said that when I moved addresses, they didn't transfer this company's portion of the bill that they had forgiven, and it mounted up to $824. I never got a letter or a call letting me know that it wasn't transferred and then a year later I get a collections notice. I called this company and the rep just read her script! They actually have a script for this, which means they've done this to many people. Wow. Hopefully Trump shuts them down too!
