The décor of the treatment room was lovely and it smelled really nice, but I wasn't impressed by the music. I intended to book another massage with him next month, after he finished the massage, but Chris informed me that he would be leaving this month and I asked where he would be going, but I forgot, so I called Aveda to find out, who informed me that they don't know, right! Don't waste any time and book a massage with him now, as he will be gone soon. 100% highly recommended.

It was getting to the point where it was past the "growing out" stage so I headed over to the closest hairdresser on my iPhone app. How maybe I've been spoilt by Windles but I was seriously disappointed with this place. My hair cut cost me around £50 and took 20 minutes. That's £12.50 ever 5 minutes, £150 an hour. Considering I received a pretty generic cut that was rushed and there were super uncomfortable washing hair sinks/chair, that's a rip off. It's not terrible by all means. It's clean and the staff are friendly, it's just not special. Unless I'm desperate, I don't think I'll be coming back any time soon.

I went for a blow dry with Julien, a charming Frenchman, who did a beautiful job on my very long,…read morethick hair. He told me his specialty was colour. I was impressed by his personality, the airiness of the salon, the covid safe separation between the shampoo sinks, and their willingness to wear a mask around me (my husband is vulnerable). My previous colourist had not taken my instructions and as a consequence I had very dark, very obviously "dyed" roots on otherwise very natural light brown (with highlights) colour. Julien told me what would be involved to fix this... it was expensive, it took four hours but MIRACLE it fixed the problem perfectly. I will be returning to Julien without a doubt for colour. Highly recommended.

I arrived about 5 minutes early and - after "checking in" with the reception - was greeted by Jake at around 5:05 pm. He was very friendly and he immediately sat me down to discuss what I wanted. As usual, I had no idea what I wanted so I proceeded to ask him for advice and went from there. Afterwards I was taken to this downstairs room for the hair wash, which was amazingly relaxing. The ambience of the room was set perfectly - dim lighting and comfortable seats - and the person who washed my hair did an amazing job. I went back up to the main hair cutting room and had my hair combed, after which I sat waiting for quite a bit before Jake came back (I believe he was tending to another customer, which would normally bother me but for this experience didn't matter at all since I loved everything else so much). I was extremely pleased with the end results of the haircut. Never before had I been so content and felt so certain that the haircut suited me. AND the way Jake styled my hair in the end was amazing, too. I've become inspired to actually "do" my hair - on some days of the week at least! Overall I really loved the experience, mostly because Jake was so personable, tended to my needs/requests, and just awesome in general. I highly highly recommend this place - especially Jake! You won't be disappointed.
