I usually get my hair coloured from here and they always do a good job. Prices start from £15 which is reasonable. You can usually get an appointment without calling in advance, but not on Saturdays as they're always really busy. It's best to call ahead on weekends. The hairdressers are really experienced and some have been working as hairdressers for 7 years or more and this is a successful business. They accept credit cards and they sell gift vouchers- perfect to treat a loved one to a new hairstyle!

My head was scratched and the top of my head was still DRY. I wanted to leave right after that but decided I would stay. WORST DECISION. The person styling my hair said himself "very dry" talking about my hair thinking it was my hair care but in reality it was because it was washed properly. Then he began to blow dry. The blow dryer was hitting my head constantly. He was rushing the service and did a terrible job. I asked for a 90's blowout vibe. He used zero product on my hair before blow drying. I left after he was done blow drying it straight (it wasn't very straight) I couldn't take any more of the service. I asked the lady at the front with platnium-ish hair if there was anyway I didn't have to pay for the full service since it was terrible. This girl was very sassy with me and said that the top of head was dry because of my own scalp problems. (i have no scalp problems) She said she couldn't discount me at all since I was the first complaint. Overall, I felt very rushed, not taken care of, wasted my money, and terrible customer service. I pay on average £25 for a wash, cut and blow dry, but prices depend on what you get done and how much the hairdresser takes off.

I pull out my extensions and the woman (the same woman on the phone it turns out) looks slightly horrified and says she "doesn't do extensions". Ok. No biggie. "Is there anyone else who can?". She goes off asking the other 3 or 4 stylists if they now how. A girl says no at first, then yes. Then they tell me one girl who knows how to blow dry will do that part and another who knows how to put in clip in extensions will do that part. I tell them that this is ridiculous, then the same, "nice" guy who greeted me got very defensive and was no longer Mr. Nice Guy. Wednesday, 13:40: I walk out in search for any other salon that can do this. It took me until 14:30 to find a place, and boy was I lucky. PLEASE save yourself the time and aggravation (if you look 2-3 reviews below, you can see that they similarly screwed someone else over) and go to Haringtons on Poland Street. Nick was wonderful and my hair looked amazing. If you're tired of reading, I've already included the important bits. For anyone who wants to hear a little more, I will tell you why this whole situation pissed me off so much that I had to write this. I'm a singer touring in Europe currently. I had a debut performance at a very famous venue in London and I was to arrive for a soundcheck at 3 (in Soho, luckily). My image is a big part of what I do, so I depend on salons doing their part and listening to me when I tell them what I need (I think that's called "good business practice"). I usually try to schedule my appointment at least a week in advance, but if I mess up, they're lovely about trying to schedule a last-minute appointment whenever possible. Fu is particularly good with short hair-- I've had problems getting a good pixie cut at some very expensive salons due to my fine hair, but he consistently does an excellent job. And as others have mentioned, the head massage during the shampoo is amazing! This really is a hidden gem-- a reasonably priced, incredibly friendly salon where everyone is welcome, I can't recommend it enough!
