Just paid $56.27 for double matting - left my frame & picture so expected item to be framed…read moreproperly in the frame - instead the matting & item were hidden behind the original paper that came with the frame (apparently Brian charges $18 + tax to frame). If he had taken the time to frame the item for me, I would never have seen the shoddy workmanship of the matting - cut & paste work and !!!!! Never seen such poor matting in my life !! Please be advised that Brian's policy is not to make the customer happy, but not to issue refunds !!!!!!!!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!!!! EXTREMELY disappointed in Brian's professional (?) workmanship. I phoned the gallery and spoke with the owner (Bob) about purchasing a painting and was in…read morediscussions about shipping it to the US. The owner expressed some frustration about shipping to US. And, I asked if we could figure out a way to make it work and he said he'd get the painting and consider it. A while later a staff member (Andrea) called back and left a message for me to call back. I returned the call and she said they didn't want to ship it to US and was concerned it was in fragile condition. I sad Ok. I then called a friend who lives nearby said he'd be able to get / it or receive it and bring it when he visited me soon. So, I called back and told the staff member I had a solution to the situation and informed her my friend could handle and bring the piece. She paused for a bit, then said, I'm sorry it was just sold. I felt her explanation was disingenuous at the least. And I expressed my amazement and indicated her story seemed factitious. She put me on hold for a while and then I spoke again with Bob. Bob started telling a different story and then said, well, the piece was actually just sold. He said someone just walked in and bought it, so it wasn't available. What are the chances of someone walking in and purchasing a Florida painting in February in Hamilton, Canada? lol Got to say this seems like unscrupulous, disingenuous and even dishonest behavior and business practices. Suggest that any buyers proceed with extreme caution if considering doing business with Earls Court Gallery. Buyers beware!
