Very good quality. Arrived quickly. Easy to assemble. Have ordered twice and will continue to order frames from them.

"I'm the owner, and I don't give a f*."**…read more I don't usually write Yelp reviews - I had to create an account just to post this. I don't like hurting a business over one bad experience, and maybe that's all this was - but wow! I left Framing Depot without a birthday gift for my husband and feeling completely disrespected. I wasn't treated right - plain and simple. I've used Framing Depot before and had good results, so this came out of nowhere. I placed an order ahead of my husband's birthday. On the Saturday before (they're closed Sundays), I called to confirm pickup. I gave my last name, was asked to repeat it a few times - my name is tricky and perhaps the line was bad. Then I was told - with clear irritation - "Can you just spell it?" I replied, "Sure. You just had to ask." No doubt I was a bit annoyed with his tone. When I arrived, the mat colour was wrong. The owner pointed to the paperwork and insisted it matched the order. I hadn't filled it out the paperwork, and said as much. Instead of owning the mistake, he kept pointing to the paperwork, so I firmly reminded him I hadn't filled it out - I didn't work there. Once he finally acknowledged the error, he offered to fix it - but not until Monday, the day of the birthday, which didn't work for me. He told me I had an attitude - and that I'd had it long before I arrived - referencing the earlier phone call where I'd said, "You just have to ask" when asked to spell my name. He said, " I was there, he did ask!" It became clear I was dealing with someone who was already angry with me. I said I'd come back to speak to someone else, as the interaction was going sideways. He repeated that I had an "attitude," again citing the call. I reiterated I'd be leaving and would speak with someone else. Then, out of nowhere, he said, "You're not getting a discount." I hadn't asked for one though, frankly, it would've been appropriate given the error and how I was being spoken to. He repeated that I had a bad attitude, told me he was the owner, and said, "I don't give a f***." His words. I responded, "Clearly." He seemed visibly charged and completely unaware of how he was coming across. I wasn't scared, but it did occur to me that I was alone in a store with a man twice my size who was being irrational. I admit I had a bit of tone on the phone - in response to someone being irritated with me. But even if I concede I had an attitude, does that really warrant this kind of response? "I'm the owner and I don't give a f***"? I told him I wouldn't be taking or paying for the frame. He was in agreement with not continuing to do business with one another. He then tried to break it in front of me and managed to crack it. I left empty-handed and rattled. An aggressive, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable behaviour from someone running a customer-facing business. But as he said -- he didn't give a f***.

Framing Depot - I am an artist and there is no other place that I would take my work to get framed. The Framing Depot not only has great selection of frames

I have been here many times in the past year. The store is divided into 3 sections/areas (arts and…read morecrafts, equipment (like drawing tools, different kinds of paper and paint) and framing). The people working there are very nice. It's appearance on the inside can give a little bit of sensory overload (in terms of the colors in different areas in the store). However, they carry varying amounts of supplies so you might have to go online to buy them if items are not available in store. BTW 1) They have a point card where you could get 10% off each time you purchase something and collect the amount you paid (ex. Pay $15 = 15 points). 2) When you are shopping online, you will get free shipping if you buy things that add up to $39 or more.

Obviously a change in staff, but the manager has been around for a long time and a couple staff members had stayed and have been amazing and funny! Seriously, I used to just hang out here as a kid because it's an art store, I'm an artist and the staff is great. It's a very clean store. They always have what I need and things I didn't know I needed. The prices are far superior to Michael's and better than Curry's. Plus the discounts are great and the rewards program is solid too. Oh and did I mention it's animal friendly? I can take my dog for walks in Petsmart and Deserres, Oh and also the customer bathroom is pretty cool. And free bags, who needs to pay a nickel for a bag? All in all, it's a great store. One of my favourite hangout spots, I can test my markers and pencils and all that and talk to awesome staff.

Today, I dropped in to the Grand Opening celebration of the new store in Woodchester Mall. It's a very busy area with lots of free parking. Immediately upon entering the store, numerous beautifully signed framed photos of Toronto Maple Leafs (TML) star players lined a large wall. Plenty of other gifts to choose from. Everything in the store was 25% off and refreshments and cupcakes were served. I completed a ballot for an opportunity to win a grand opening prize. I also entered a $5 raffle for a chance to win a pair of TML tickets for an upcoming game. Staff were helpful, friendly and courteous. My son-in-law is a Leafs fanatic so I picked up two items for his new basement Leafs Man Cave!

They did a wonderful job with my Tavares and Bower Jerseys. My collection is growing. The only problem is I'm running out of wall space....lol. Every Jersey i got framed there, people comment and ask where i got it done. I picked up a lot of knick knacks from this store including a TML apron, oven mitts, pot holder. My TML wallet is from there aswell. 10/10. Totally recommend this place 100%, even if you're not getting any framing done
