I had Vinny and his son come out to seal my driveway, which had been previously paved. He was more expensive, but he had a good spiel on how he didn't water down the product as much as the other contractors did. Plus, I liked the fact he was the owner, and if there was a problem, I could go directly to him. I paid cash, he took the money and ran and never looked back. The perimeter was darker than the middle. Vinny said it would blend in. Well, it never did. I figured it was no big deal as long as the job was good. Then I noticed some crumbling and then a crack. Vinny said he would come out that day, never called, never showed. That week, never called, never showed. Over the weekend, never called, never showed. I was nice, and I said I know he is busy, but let me know when he can stop by. Then Vinny says if there is a crack, it's the paver's fault. Vinny and 3 other contractors all said the paving was done properly. Now, 3 years later, I'm still waiting. I'm sure if I were a man, Vinny would have been out there right away. How unprofessional not to do a follow-up. How rude to say he is going to stop by and never did.
It's sad people don't take pride in their work and have no concern for their clients. It's all about the money. Well, with Vinny it is.
So beware, especially you women. There are many other contractors out there. Unfortunately, I chose the wrong one. read more
