I also asked for them to install a simple hair catcher to be installed because I did not have the proper tooling. They installed a hair stopper which turned out to be something the attached to the drain pipe that CAN'T be removed without damaging the surrounding porcelain which they refinished in the first place. WHAT??? Now it will be $$ to fix something that I didn't authorize to be put there in the first place. I called the company, the guy said he couldn't understand how hair could get through those holes. Really! Said it would be easy to remove that piece until he saw the picture of his own work. He said it might damage the bathtub to remove it. Ok, so why did you put it in...??? Do you know what a hair catcher is? I did not authorize this. Oh and I'm so stupid for trusting you and not watching you like a hawk while you worked. Again, my mistake. I'm the one that's stupid. Not what I asked for and they refuse to fix it without charge. My bathtub will get damaged if I get it removed. The guy says he showed this piece to me before he installed it which was absolutely not true.

Fred picked up two different pieces for me (at 2 different times) and I just got back the first piece and it looks AMAZING! He had us come in and choose our stain, one of his employees helped us choose and tested it out on the piece to make sure we liked it. Plus he explained the different types of finishes they could put on it and showed us examples. His warehouse is full of pieces they're re-doing and I can see why so many people use Fred's. Fred called me to let me know that the wood on the second piece he's refinishing is a completely different wood so the stain will not look the same. He just wanted to make me aware of it and show me the work in progress to make sure I liked it. I appreciate the honesty and the heads up. This was our second time working with Ciprian, and it was once again a great experience! Last time…read morehe repaired and refinished the wood floors in our old apartment, and this time he removed two layers of old, glued-down flooring from our new condo, cleaned the concrete subfloor, and installed new underlayment and engineered hardwood floors for us throughout the entire home, which was a very large project. He was knowledgeable, professional, reasonably priced, had amazing attention to detail, and worked quickly. The whole job (demo to final product) was done in under two weeks, and that included extra time for unforeseen issues, like the concrete subfloor needing to be grinded down and leveled in multiple rooms before floor installation so the planks would lay correctly. Ciprian went above and beyond to make sure the finished product looked amazing and to help us with all aspects of our project. He was kind and professional to our new neighbors and worked within our new building's construction/noise rules, he transported our flooring materials from the store to our new unit and carried them all up the stairs (50 lbs per box, 66 boxes), he finished our master bedroom first so we could move into that space early, and he even returned our leftover boxes of flooring to the store so we could get a refund for the unused products. On top of that, he bought extra matching door trim to fill in the gaps between the top of the new floor and the base of the doorway trim that the previous owners had cut way too high to accommodate the two old layers of flooring. The finished product looks amazing! We are very happy with his work and with the look and installation of our new floors. We highly recommend Ciprian, and we would absolutely work with him again.
