They were very patient and explained everything I was curious about in depth. They didn't make me feel like any of my questions were dumb or unnecessary. The staff also regularly checked up on us. I also liked that they gave off a calm vibe. I'd say that the staff was one of the best parts about this place. My piece was the mug. I am an artist in multiple medias but this was pretty new to me and I had fun with working with glaze. Although my piece didn't come out as well as I had hoped, I still love it and appreciate things made by hands with care and effort. I also learned a lot for the next time I come around. I hope to try the to-go kit. My partner doesn't have art experience but he still found it easy to work with the glazes and he had a good time. I ended up painting my mug until closing, but they did allow me to take my piece home and come back the next day to finish, which I appreciated. I did like the selection of all the different mugs and plates and everything, and I would say it's pretty decently sized, but during my visit I also did wish a little bit they had just a little more in terms of kitchen stuff. Though I understand something like that might be hard to achieve space-wise and cost-wise. I'd say the selection is good overall. During the making of my mug, I did like that they supplied markers (the marker ink disappears during firing!) as well as a paper for me to draft my design and lay it out on the mug. As an artist, the first sketch is very important to me. I also liked the brush selection. I did find brushes that suited my needs, but I also feel like a lot of the bigger brushes need to be replaced with new ones, as they felt frayed and hard to control. They had a big selection of other tools such as stencils, stamps, and these little bottles with needle droppers for fine detailing. The glazes were easy to locate and there was enough bottles for everybody. I liked that it specified they are lead-free and food safe as that is something I was concerned about. I also liked the little magnetic tiles on display to preview finished glaze colors and layers. The magnets made it easy compare how certain colors looked alongside another and imagine how your fired product would look. They also provide special pencils to leave a special message or your name on the piece with. Both days I brought a drink and a snack, which was a really nice experience. I liked that we could bring food and drink in, it made it a lot more fun and enjoyable. I also liked that the environment wasn't too loud with chatter or annoying music, allowing me to relax while I painted (especially as somebody with sensory issues). There were people talking at other tables but it isn't bothering. The cost isn't annoying, I'd say it's satisfactory and simple; just whatever you painted + studio/processing fee. I think for what I and my partner painted, the prices for the pottery itself were reasonable, as well as the studio fee. As for the finishing time, they got it out sooner than expected (a few days after submitted) which was satisfactory. Pickup was pretty quick and simple. The mug I made has found its home as my partner's coffee mug and my partner's lemon catch-all has found a home as a lovely scent wax bowl for our new candle warmer. Overall I'm pretty satisfied and I see myself coming again to paint gifts for my parents. Attatched are process photos, as well as a finished product photo and a few photos of the location.

September 28, 2023…read more Today I drove 100 miles to this location and 100 miles back from this location with the expectation of visiting this museum which indicated on the website the hours to be as follows: Sunday-Monday: Closed Tuesday-Friday: 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm Saturday: 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm School and Group tours call for reservation. Arrived at 12:00 pm and thought ok, will wait until 12:15pm allowing for CP time. Walked up to the door and found a note attached to the door that stated: We are closed today. Sorry for the inconvenience! Well guess what Me too!! You have a Website, which was checked prior to leaving home, to verify hours and get correct address for directions. Your organization had the perfect opportunity to indicate that the Museum would not be open 9/28 until........ If you cannot be held accountable for the hours you have posted, you need to add a disclaimer to the website that states the hours posted are subject to change and please call and verify that location is open prior to visiting. Today I lost 4 hours of my life that I cannot get back and $22.00 worth of gas, because your organization was negligent using the communication avenues that was available to you. I cannot review the content of the building, however the outside is just as pictured, however the professionalism is a 0 for me. Not sure if I will be back or not, although the cost to enter is nominal, I feel like any future visit from me needs to be absolutely Free!!! Sad!!!

You fill out the safety form then you get to choose what you destroy. They have a good selection of electronic, glass, tvs, printers, and whole lot more. Just imagine a 2002 pawn shop. You load up a cart and take it to the room made for destruction. They have all the things to keep you safe and all the things you need to be destructive. Can't forget the black lights and the speaker they let you connect to so you can set the vibe. They also have a paint room I haven't gotten to experience yet but can't wait! Guilty to say I've been multiple times already. The best part is how you feel after getting that rage out can't be compared, you have to try.

You can also bring items from home, so you've got a ton of options. This experience is as good as you make it- I recommend: 1. Downloading a good playlist before you go, so you can link to the Bluetooth speaker and have a personalized soundtrack 2. Wearing long sleeves! They don't require long sleeves, but I was regretting not bringing a long sleeved shirt. 3. Hydrating beforehand! This is an *exhausting* experience (if you really go for it), and I left feeling thirsty and tired. I highly recommend this experience- its a bit pricey for what it is, but it includes paying the workers to clean up all of the mess that you make, so it's not bad. We're thinking about doing this about once a month- it's so satisfying, especially if you've been going through it recently. My only other qualm was the consent/release for photography and videos. You have to sign the release as part of the safety waiver, despite the service/venue being commonly used as a therapeutic experience after trauma or loss. This just didn't sit right with me, because that's why we came as well, and I didn't really want any of that to be used for advertising or published in any way. The employee seemed kind and understanding when we said that we didn't want to be filmed, so that was nice at least. Just know that they might take photos/videos for their Facebook and Instagram. Overall a good experience. We will be back.

For only a few golf courses in college station it's sad there isn't better options.

Joining the tennis at pccc has seriously been such a joy and highlight for me for the past 2 years. The club also offers exercise classes and has a decent gym that my husband uses. One of the best things that the club offers is kids Klub!!! It's super affordable and allows parents to be involved- it's the only way I've been able to play tennis again! In addition, pccc has a good restaurant that changes its menu a lot and offers a great variety. They have a great view of the golf course, good specials on various nights, live music some, decent prices and more! The pool was also redone fairly recently and includes a swim up bar, splash pad, slide, beach front entrance! The golf course is pretty nice and it doesn't feel like you're even in college station. The club offers kids sports camp in the summer too! This club offers so so much to individuals, couples, and families!! I highly recommend joining here as it's an affordable club in town and also is a wonderful experience! They also offer half off initiation fees throughout the year at various times, CHECK IT OUT!! I'm still gushing after my private pottery lesson with Amanda. I heard about her classes from a…read moreflyer on a community board, I am so happy I followed-up. For $99, I got a 2-hour (well, 2.5 hour) private lesson with Amanda, where I learned how to throw on a wheel and even had the opportunity to create my own piece. Amanda herself is very warm, talented, and a great teacher. She was very encouraging during more challenging parts and stepped in to save the piece. She took the time to teach me certain concepts and terms. The experience felt like learning from an expert friend. A nice touch, too, was that she offered to take photos as I worked on the wheel. At first, I was not very interested, but there is now awesome documentation of my work, including some amusing videos. If video/photos are not your jam, you certainly don't have to do it. But I am grateful that she suggested it because I wouldn't have these awesome pictures as a nice souvenir. I ultimately made 2 pieces. For an extra $15, Amanda will glaze and fire your piece, which you can pick up about a month later. Such a unique, fun experience. I'd highly recommend checking out her studio and lessons.
