I can't say enough about Sea Tow South Shore. Very customer service oriented. Ethan is knowledgeable, professional, and personable.

Ethan and the crew run a top notch operation. They've saved my backside on several occasions. Great company.

It started raining, so he decided to leave, but could not get his motor started. He ended up pulling anchor and letting the current take him up the river trying to spot somebody to help him. He tried blowing his air horn a few times, but nobody heard or responded and it finally ran out of air. He drifted for quite a while, more than an hour, in heavy rain. When he finally drifted past Mary's he dropped the anchor and began waving his rain coat in the air to get somebody' attention. Somebody from Mary's took a skiff out to him and towed him all the way back to the boat launch on the South river. I am beyond grateful for the way they took care of him. He is in his 70's now, a former Navy guy, and somebody that always knew how to handle himself on the water. When they brought him back, he was cold and tired. I am so glad that the nice people there helped him out. He could have ended up with hypothermia very easily that day. On a side note, my dad and I used to rent boats from Mary's way back in the early 80's...they have been there a very long time and their rates are very reasonable. What impresses me most is how they treat people. They helped my dad out a lot. So much, that I decided I just had to write this review. Whoever it was that helped my Dad, Thank You!

Loved the new sail awning they put up a this summer. Made lunch much more enjoyable on a hot sunny day! Toddlers had a blast watching the boats coming in and out and the local teens jumping off of the bridge and it didn't matter when they spilled all over the floor. Bar is hidden to the left of the food station but keep looking til you find it. Bloody Mary was great and all other drinks were good too.

From Boston it takes about 45 minutes to get here. It's about the same as getting to Gloucester,…read morecloser than the Cape, closer than Newport, waaaaaay better than the Aqua Net of Revere Beach or the grit of M Street Beach in Southie. (no offense...I've been known to be gritty from time to time, and I'm a HUGE fan of Kelly's in Revere, so lay off and read on, bitches). I have been a regular at the Scituate Harbor Marina for longer than I can remember, since many, many family members are Scituate residents. Scituate is a beachy, laid back, very welcoming town on the ocean. You slow down from the hustle and bustle (hate that term, but you get it) when you come here. You know when you get closer to the marina, as your car tells you it's 5-10 degrees cooler from the sweltering heat of the city. The marina has a large parking lot. I have never had a problem parking there. The marina itself is very clean, as the harbormasters do a fabulous job, and are friends of the community. I have many family members who have had boats at this marina for years and years...they have never had ANY problems here as far as safety, noise control, cleanliness. From what I've learned... 1. There is a waiting list to get a slip for a boat here, so sign up before you're ready. 2. Get your reservation asap to launch your boat in the early summer, as those slots fill up quick. 3. No need to bring anything, as there is a grocery store, a Dunkin Donuts, many stores to buy clothes/bathing suits, a CVS, 2 banks, pet stores, bars, restaurants, a yoga shop, a liquor store, pizza shops all within walking distance. 4. The best time to check out the place is coming up in 2 weeks...the first weekend in August is Harborfest....there's an amusement park set up in the parking lot, lots of vendors selling food/crafts/jewelry/art etc, bands in the street, and fireworks at night. 5. Go down during low tide and head to the Spit...a quick boat ride to a sandbar full of parties. Dogs are allowed, and food and alcohol are a must-

I dealt directly with the owner, Dave McShane, who is a licensed Sea Fox dealer. He reached out to…read moreme on having a trolling motor installed on my 2023 Sea Fox 2280 Commander as he was referred by M&M Marine where I recently purchased the boat. He told me he would look into the types of trolling motors that are most commonly installed and would get back to me. He never did this, told me to bring the boat to his location, and that he would install a trolling motor. No estimates from him. He placed the onus on me to tell him the type of trolling motor. After several emails, where I included Sea Fox in the email threads, and also did research on my own and then recommended a product to him, he then refused my business and told me to go elsewhere. I have had boats well over 50 years and this is the worst experience I have ever encountered with a marine business that services boats.

Have to agree with reviews of Matt K and Will S. Not a good experience. I went there in 2022 to…read morelook at Sea Fox boats, which I first saw earlier in the year in Charleston, SC. Well built. Left because I found Dave McShane rude and condescending when answering my questions. I eventually found a 2019 Sea Fox in CT in excellent shape in spring of 2023 and bought it. But you need to get parts from your State's authorized dealer. Sea Fox will not take orders directly. I got a part last year from a young man on their staff, very nice, no issues. This year I called for a replacement T-top anchor light. Rosa McShane took my order and said she would have it shipped directly to my house, since I'm 70 miles roundtrip from their site, and it was an easy fix. She took my CC info and sent me an email saying it would be 2 weeks. 4 weeks later, no part, so I called and Rosa was 'sorry to hear that and she would talk to Sea Fox in Charleston when they (Sea Fox staff) return on Monday July 7th.' Not being able to go out at night fishing for the past month, and wanting to go out on the boat for the fireworks on July 4th, (hundreds of boats out, so an anchor light is a must, especially with the harbormaster!) I had my marina put in an OEM light on top of the T-top. Very nice, more solid than the original. I called Rosa and told her that, and that I wished to be refunded. She said I would need to get the part first and send it to them before I got a refund, but she would also check and see if Sea Fox sent it to them instead of me. Well I obviously had no part to send back (at my expense!), and would I ever get it? Turns out Sea Fox did send it to McShane Yacht Sales, so they had it, but never called me. I had to call after a month, then they looked around and found it. She said she could overnite it to me (my expense, and I already paid shipping), but I already had the new one. So it was In her possession anyway...but she told me Sea Fox charges them a $20 restocking fee and I'd have to pay that. I asked her why I would need to pay a $20 restock fee for a part I never received, and why wouldn't they be calling Sea Fox and asked for a waiver on it since Sea Fox screwed up, not me, nor McShane YS for that matter. She said she'd have Dave call me. Long story short, Dave McShane said I was being unreasonable fighting over $20. Wasn't he doing the same? Wouldn't he fight for a customer and tell Sea Fox they messed up and the customer, nor he the dealer should pay them $20 for their mistake? I was hoping so. Nope, he told me "You can call Trump!" (???). Today I got a refund check for the part LESS the $20. I'm tempted to go to Small Claims court, where McShane or Sea Fox Boats would also cover the $40.00 filing fee, and you can also get triple damages for an issue not resolved in 30 days. Dave M. told me 'fine, I have a piece of paper here that shows you ordered a Special order part from us'. So what? A light is a 'special order'? Doesn't matter what kind of order it is. I didn't get what i was promised in 2 weeks. He also said 'you can come down here and get your part', and that's when he hung up on me. But I'll just post this review here, and a few other sites as well. Lesson learned. Tom H
