On my 6K+ sq ft home, I had them replace the entire roof, fix an on-going issue with a chimney, replace four areas of siding on the second floor (and correct flashing issues found), replace all gutters and down spouts with larger, and install stainless gutter guards. As far as price, I paid about what the other companies quoted me for just the roof replacement to install an inferior roof system, WITHOUT ALL THE OTHER WORK! They performed OUTSTANDING WORK from start to finish. Note: All roofing companies can experience weather delays (unless you want your roof off during a rain storm), so establish a direct line of communication with them and they will keep you informed as to when they will be there. For most of us, replacing a roof is a rare occurrence, and let's face it, there are many fly-by-night roofing contractors out there. After getting four estimates, Coastal was the best price, including the cost of the upgraded stainless nails and new type underlayment, as well as replacement cost for plywood if needed. While price is certainly a consideration, feeling comfortable with the contractor doing the installation is equally important. Zane certainly put me at ease during the selection process, and maintained communication with me through the installation and final inspection. Customer service to the max! I feel the difference is that Coastal Roofing specializes in roofing and siding, not roofing and a bunch of other services. Something as important as roof replacement in the OBX should be left to folks who know what they are doing, and Coastal Roofing certainly meets that criteria.

My only suggestion for Beach and all the other rental companies is PLEASE start renting more houses Sunday-Sunday and SOME small percent Friday-Friday. Traffic from DC area almost puts this 5 hour drive into the + 8 hours and not considerable range!

As soon as I arrived and saw how bad of shape it was in I contacted them and sent pictures and was in contact the whole time of staying there. It was an embarrassment for me when my guest arrived. Beach reality didn't do ANYTHING or compensate anything. All they did was tell me that they would not delist this property after the first of the year. I would NEVER recommend or use this company again, due to them, not standing by their customers. Absolutely horrible company!! And you would think by their response to my review that they would have compensated me with something. They knew the property was at a lower standard than they were charging for yet they still will not take care of their client. Complete trash will never recommend this place ever.
