    Meadowberry Frozen Yogurt

On one recent particularly hot work day, I decided to nip by Meadowberry on my lunch and treat…read moremyself to some frozen yoghurt. It's a small location with a few tables but is really setup for takeaway business. Situated right across from the Meadows, this works well. I had come out without my glasses and unfortunately they didn't have a printed menu so I was at a bit of a loss for what was on offer. It was only after I ordered a frozen yoghurt that I discovered that they have a non-dairy option which would have been a better choice. As has been said previously, they have only two flavours at a time with the option to mix. When I was in the options were plain (which I think is a standard) and banana. I opted for the plain and splurged on an oreo topping. The yoghurt was very tasty without being overly sugary - big plus. The small serving was ENORMOUS as well as being pricey (£2.75, I think?). I would have much preferred a smaller portion with a smaller price. All in all it was ok but I probably won't find myself itching to return - my recommendation would be to advertise their flavour of the day on their website or Facebook page, and to create a smaller and more wallet friendly serving size.

"I love to love, lalala.....love the ice cream that is sold by newly opened parlor Affogato!…read more The ice parlor is located on Queensferry Road not far away from the hustle and bustle of Princess Street - West End, House of Fraser. In the front of the establishment you are served various luscious flavors of ice cream and in the back you can relax and enjoy. They have very comfortable couches where you can lie back and day dream, read or chat with another. When I recently visited I got the Banoffee and Caramel Flavors. My friend ordered some fruity scoop ...... They also sell Salted Caramel, Amarena, Gingerbread, Yoghurt, Pistacchio........about 18 flavors in total. The ice cream is creamy and just the right amount of sweet. Just luscious. You get a lot of ice cream for affordable prices. 1 scoop = £2.50, and the portion is massive. They offer even two or more flavors in one scoop. Next time I will try and get an "Affogato", a mix of coffee and ice cream. I learned that Affogato means drowning, so clearly the idea behind ice cream drowning in coffee :-) Also beware! The parlor is closed on a Sunday night after 18.00, what is a shame, as it would be nice to enjoy some delicious ice cream before bed time.

To begin with, don't let the name of the cafe confuse you... yes, it IS a dairy with great ice…read morecream... but it also serves food, including sandwiches, scones, tea, and breakfast (i've uploaded a pic of the menu). Yelp has rejected my recommendation of calling it Scottish Food or a Cafe and has kept it listed simply as Ice Cream and Frozen Yogurt (neither of which I've tried here yet). There is some good food in Perth even though you may have to pay a bit more for it than you would in the bigger cities of Scotland. But just outside Perth, you find some farm shops with some incredible locally sourced food. Stewart Tower Dairy is one of these. Most people would have found this place either by word of mouth or from signs on the A9. I actually discovered this place whilst road biking with a friend. And wow.... so glad I know about Stewart Tower. I have only stopped here on my bike rides and they're very welcoming to cyclists, even sweaty ones. The staff here are super friendly. They also have a nice shop inside with local and/or gourmet foods. Most of the time I have had just a pot of tea with a scone. I have learnt recently to ask for the Tea Pigs Everyday blend. It's even better than the regular house blend, so I would recommend trying that or one of the other specialty teas. On another stop, I was trying to decide whether or not to push through and have a late lunch at home or whether I should have lunch at Stewart Tower Dairy.... AND... maybe I gave in and had lunch there. This was partly to do with the fact that the menu had minestrone that day, and I definitely didn't have homemade soup at my flat. So I had to have it. And I ordered a Coronation Chicken sandwich to go along with it, served on malted brown bread. It was SOOO good. I often feel like Coronation Chicken is a good test run for sandwiches for any cafe, and I wasn't disappointed. So... my advice is as followed: if you're in Perth and have a car, then there are two places you should check out. Stewart Tower Dairy is one of them. And you won't be disappointed. It's about a 10-15 minute drive out of town. And if you happen to have just biked through Little Glenshee, then reward yourself with a scone, tray bake or some ice cream. No need to push through and bike home without a break ;) Oh and did I mention they have goats and lambs for the kids to see outside? So bring the kids, but maybe not on your bike.

Cute flavours such as "Moo" all homemade. They also serve soup and other wholesome snacks. Loads of parking, taste of the country and all thats great about Scotland. Staff are helpful friendly and know how to smile :) You haven't been? Why not? My advice: Go soon as you will not be disappointed!
