Great get a way, we live near by and Sea Mist is fantastic. Large rooms, pool is closed wtf but we'll get over it.

Ok so the good.. staff is amazing, the grounds of the property have amazing options such as tennis,…read morepool, small playground, etc. We had the 2 bedroom 2 bathroom unit with a den that had a pull out couch with a sliding accordion door. We have two kids so the older one got the room with the twin beds and our toddler had the den so it was nice they could have their own sleep schedules without interfering with the other. Tons of space inside the unit. Tons of storage inside the unit. Awesome size kitchen and family room. Bedrooms and bathrooms had tons of space. Now the bad. The mattresses and pillows were absolutely awful. Actually dreading going to bed with how uncomfortable everything was. Joked with my husband about going to target to get mattresses toppers and new pillows but that was squashed. Couch was also extremely uncomfortable. Towels in the unit were ridiculously small and unless you were a child or a size 0 those towels do not close around you. Toilet paper was see through and like sandpaper. Bring your own!!!!!! The master bathroom was amazing in size but the shower floor as well as the tile floor was extremely slippery and could be dangerous for some people. Kitchen was amazing but there were no spices or cooking spray included in the unit. I used one of the pans to reheat pasta and the pan had to soak for two days to get the sauce off. I understand about not wanting to have condiments in the fridge but not having basic spices or cooking spray seems odd. For the laundry the property offered travel size powder detergent for sale in the office. I had never heard of the brand.. probably only sold at dollar stores and washed like it was from the dollar store. The powder would only dissolve if the washing machine water was hot which obviously is bad some fabrics. So the majority of the bad things are small and can be fixed. But the mattress and pillow issues were a big fail in my eyes. I am going to have to get my back corrected when I get home. I can't believe I am the only one who has had this issue. At least have a mattress topper in the unit as an option if people don't like super hard beds. Also offer more pillows because 5 pillows for 4 beds is not enough. Especially when they are the size of airplane pillows and have absolutely no filling.

There's plenty to do such as an indoor pool, jacuzzi and an arcade. Currently it's their "off-season" so not all shops and restaurants are open in the month of April. I'm here on a business trip and I'd definitely come back during the summer months for vacation.

The lobby is very pretty and I loved the hydrangeas out front. They put on Euro 2024 matches in the indoor pool for guests to watch The Bad: It is waaay too crowded. We were given red plastic wristbands to wear and I saw half the people on the beach didn't have them.. what was the point of booking a hotel with a "private" beach if half the lounge chairs are occupied by non-hotel guests. I saw staff waking around the beach and I expected them to be looking out for people without wristbands.. wrong. They didn't. We had to get beach chairs all the way in the back by the trash bins while non-hotel guests sat in the front row by the water. You can easily drive into the parking lot, walk onto the property and make your way to the beach or pool. There is no security or someone checking to make sure you're a hotel guest. We checked in early (which we knew) and waited at the beach for our room to be ready. We were told since we got here early we will be prioritized to get our room! Yay! Except that was a total lie. At 4:30pm we went to the front desk to see what was going on and told our room wasn't ready and itll be 10 more min.. After hesitating for a second the manager was like never mind we'll move your room to one thats ready.. Really confused why we weren't given that room to start with? It wasn't an upgrade, it was the exact same non-view room type that we booked. At check in we weren't given any information about the hotel and it was our first time here. We had no idea they had movie nights, activities, that we can reserve lounge chairs or anything. This place is very dingy and not well kept. The rooms are humid, the carpets look like they need a deep clean and overall the hotel doesn't seem well maintained. The whole 3 days we were here there was a huge puddle of water near the snack bar. No one wanted to take care of that? It's a huge hazard. The fridge in the room doesn't work and we found that out the hard way.. after a very upset stomach after eating food left in the fridge overnight. The only good thing is that they refunded us the resort fee after we mentioned the fridge not working at check out. Prices: For nearly $800 nightly rate plus $160 resort fee, you think we'd be staying somewhere really nice and well maintained. Wrong. Next time I'll find someplace that is clean and actually has a private beach instead of whatever version of "private beach" this was.
