Scuba.com is under the same ownership as Adorama, and products can be ordered over the internet. I was told that Miguel still services equipment, working from his home in the Costa Mesa area. The internet store has a broad selection, good pricing, and ships promptly. But, you will have to find someone local to service it. This is a big disappointment, as I have been buying from Scuba.com since 2004, and they have always serviced my equipment.

I sent this almost two weeks ago and never received a response. I also have tried unsuccessfully to unsubscribe from their marketing emails several times. It always says I'm unsubscribed and then keeps sending them. I had a very poor experience with Darrick Cusick recently and when I called to ask how to file a complaint, I was given your email. My apologies if this is not the correct method for filing complaints. A few weeks ago (I think it was the first Monday in November), I started searching scuba.com for a travel BCD and other items I will need for an upcoming trip to southeast Asia. My fiance told me to email and request a package because he had done so a couple years before and had been really satisfied with the help he had received. I used the live chat function to request a package, and was told to email Darrick my request. I emailed Darrick on 11/14 with my friendly request. I didn't hear anything for two days so I emailed him again on 11/16 letting him know I really wanted to take advantage of your Cyber Monday sales so I would appreciate if he could respond. He responded on 11/17 saying he needed my measurements and my address, which I provided that same day. I didn't hear anything for 5 days, so on 11/22 I followed up again asking for the package and a quote. I received no response. I then called yesterday (the final day of your sale, and a full two weeks after I had requested a package) and left a voicemail at his extension in the morning in which I requested that he "please, please, please" call me back so that I could order this before the sale price ended. I then followed up that voicemail with another email in which I let him know I would be filing a complaint. I still have not received a response. I really needed and wanted help choosing a package. Against my better judgment, I ended up supporting your business by choosing things of my own last night. It was very stressful and ended up causing a fight between me and my fiance because he had to stay up late working and then take time away from that to help me choose items from your website. I would really like this to be made right by receiving an apology from Darrick (unless something crazy happened in his life like his child or partner dying, in which I would totally understand), and some sort of financial compensation, like an additional discount on the items we ended up purchasing last night. If this isn't made right, I definitely intend to write reviews about my experience wherever I can, share my experience with my FB community (I have many friends who also dive), and not support your business again in the future. However, with an apology and something nice to make up for the experience, I'm happy to forget this unpleasant experience.

The gun was unusable for the entire trip. Total disaster. When I got home, I reached out to Spear America and Noah immediately diagnosed the issue, identified the correct spear, and went a step further. He swapped out the incorrect European tip so I wasn't stuck paying twice to get the job done right. That kind of service is rare. He didn't have to do it. He chose to. Saved me money, solved the problem, and turned a frustrating trip into something I can laugh about now. Customer for life. Visibility was pretty solid, and we spotted several fish cruising around. The waves were calm and totally manageable, which made it relaxing instead of stressful. There's also a vigilant lifeguard on duty, which adds a nice layer of peace of mind. Even if you're not snorkeling, it's a great spot to hang out and sunbathe. Seaweed was around but not overwhelming, definitely not like swimming through a kelp jungle.

I called Dive & Photo last minute wanting to have accelerated private open water PADI instruction/certification for myself and a son and daughter both in their 20s. 3 days of instruction later. Done. Dive & Photo one of their instructors, Allen Gibson in touch with me and he made it happen. Of course an older retired marine veteran would be effecient and organized. Allen was everything you could ask for in an instructor. Expert. Efficient. Prepared. Patient. Flexible. Fantastic teacher and communicator with our varied learning styles and backgrounds. He made sure each one of us mastered the material. The gear provided was great. We bought dive fins at the shop and Allen walked us through the options and pricing was good. Everything from first call to gear to instruction was Five Star. Allen had the beach conditions and reef area for our dives in laguna wired (and I have lived in laguna all my life) even the parking set-up. Honestly there were a couple other shops that were doing their dives just arriving after we had gotten started and I felt sorry for them. They looked so disorganized. Diver's is probably my favorite spot in all of Laguna to go chill. It's... quiet, because it's…read morerelatively small compared to the Main Beach strand, but it's so special. It's usually clean and free of seaweed, and it just smells so good... no icky fish or seaweed decay odors; just clean ocean beach air. This beach only gets GOOD tanning sun during PEAK Summer hours, otherwise, it's kind of... a gamble on the tides and the time of day as to whether you can use the beach for tanning or not. It's a nice beach to NOT get tons of sun on, especially after about 5PM to sunset. It varies, of course, but that's TYPICALLY what you'll find happening. I do NOT believe this area has a lifeguard watching it (?) but correct me if wrong. I don't and haven't seen a lifeguard stand here. The next beach OVER, however does have a lifeguard watching post. This is the spot to go relax... and just sit with yourself and your thoughts. Let the tide rise a little, and then let it go out... and let your problems go with it. It's the best therapy for free you can get, I think... but, anyway... enjoy! :]
