This store is clean, fully stocked, and laid out in an easy way to navigate in and out of. We've never felt overwhelmed and always receive exceptional customer service. The staff is friendly, efficient, and knowledgable. We worked with Kristina and she went out of her way to answer our questions about dive watches, as well as ensure we received the best products that fit our budget. Also, she was happy to talk about dive sites locally and internationally, the dive shop's club, etc. We never felt rushed throughout the process. Kristina provided sound follow through by calling and emailing us about the status update of part of our order. We will definitely be visiting scuba.com in-person or online for future purchases. Scuba.com is under the same ownership as Adorama, and products can be ordered over the internet. I was told that Miguel still services equipment, working from his home in the Costa Mesa area. The internet store has a broad selection, good pricing, and ships promptly. But, you will have to find someone local to service it. This is a big disappointment, as I have been buying from Scuba.com since 2004, and they have always serviced my equipment.

The gun was unusable for the entire trip. Total disaster. When I got home, I reached out to Spear America and Noah immediately diagnosed the issue, identified the correct spear, and went a step further. He swapped out the incorrect European tip so I wasn't stuck paying twice to get the job done right. That kind of service is rare. He didn't have to do it. He chose to. Saved me money, solved the problem, and turned a frustrating trip into something I can laugh about now. Customer for life. My first dive post-certification was with Ruth, and her enthusiasm for sharing her dive park "office" with everyone is contagious! She took her time going through the steps, getting to know us, and preparing us for our dive. Fast forward 2 years to now, and I planned a trip with my boyfriend who wanted to try diving. I knew exactly who to call! Ruth made sure we were all set throughout the booking process, gave clear instructions for accessing the training beforehand, and explained what we would need to bring the day of. She has such a fantastic teaching style, helping to make scuba skills more relatable to everyday tasks. She is patient and does not rush. Once in the water, my boyfriend was feeling stressed about completing the initial skills and getting used to breathing underwater. Ruth maintained her patience and composure the entire time. She was encouraging and lead with kindness, and helped him through the initials nerves and panic. Seaweed was around but not overwhelming, definitely not like swimming through a kelp jungle.

In 4 months of purchasing an underwater cert course, the dive shop only offered one class. After not being able to attend this course and me moving states, I asked for a refund. This process has been conducted very poorly. In email threads, they have accused me of ignoring the invitation to the course when I have given them proof of my contact with the instructor, saying I won't be able to attend. Still, they say I have never been in contact with the dive shop. Now going to PADI to try and get a refund. Overall, I have not had a good experience with Dive and Photo.

Diver's is probably my favorite spot in all of Laguna to go chill. It's... quiet, because it's…read morerelatively small compared to the Main Beach strand, but it's so special. It's usually clean and free of seaweed, and it just smells so good... no icky fish or seaweed decay odors; just clean ocean beach air. This beach only gets GOOD tanning sun during PEAK Summer hours, otherwise, it's kind of... a gamble on the tides and the time of day as to whether you can use the beach for tanning or not. It's a nice beach to NOT get tons of sun on, especially after about 5PM to sunset. It varies, of course, but that's TYPICALLY what you'll find happening. I do NOT believe this area has a lifeguard watching it (?) but correct me if wrong. I don't and haven't seen a lifeguard stand here. The next beach OVER, however does have a lifeguard watching post. This is the spot to go relax... and just sit with yourself and your thoughts. Let the tide rise a little, and then let it go out... and let your problems go with it. It's the best therapy for free you can get, I think... but, anyway... enjoy! :]

Truly the best place to swim in Laguna beach. The water is so clear and the waves aren't scary once…read moreyou get past the shorebreak. This is my favorite place to float and enjoy earth. When the waves come in, it creates little waterfalls as it cascades over the rocks and back into the ocean. There are leopard sharks and stingrays here. The little sharks are bottom feeders and never bother people. The stingrays, however, can sting! All the more reason to get past the shorebreak ... there are fully stocked bathrooms right up the hill which is such a plus for beach days! There are also lifeguards on both sides of the beach. The only downside is parking. It is limited but if you get lucky, make the trek down here!
