There's a lifeguard on duty, showers at the top, and honestly, that's all you really need for a peaceful beach day. Beautiful views, relaxing water, and a much calmer vibe compared to crowded tourist beaches. Definitely one of my favorite spots for by the ocean.

It is staffed by a lifeguard, and they are friendly, knowledgeable, and very good at their jobs. There isn't much of a beach at high tide, so time your visit carefully. The beach is also far too rocky for most swimmers, although you might see an experienced scuba diver or snorkeler emerge from the surf like a Navy frogman. The beach is accessible by a steep staircase, and over the years erosion has opened up a steep drop from the foot of the stairs to the sand, so take care. There are no restroom facilities. There is limited street parking along Moss St (free) and the Pacific Coast Highway (metered). The good news about the scarce parking is that if you can find a spot, the beach won't be very crowded.

This hidden beach has two entrance - one via Dumond Dr (116 Dumond Dr) and one near the intersection of Victoria Dr & Sunset Terrace (2703 Victoria Dr). Please note that the entrance via Dumond Dr is under construction so it's easier to enter by taking the stairways near 2703 Victoria Dr. [Parking]: There's a street sign telling visitors to park on PCH and not residential streets. Unfortunately all parking on PCH is street parking only and our party got a bit lucky finding a spot near The Drake (2894 S Coast Hwy) - fall season so less crowd. [Dogs]: Dogs are allowed BEFORE 9:00 AM and AFTER 6:00 PM from June 15 - September 10. Dogs are allowed during regular beach hours from September 11 - June 14. Dogs must be on a leash at all times. [What to see]: Unlike other beaches in Orange County, there's actually a structure called the Pirate Tower and apparently it was built in 1926 for the family of William E. Brown (a state senator representing California's 37th district). [Conclusion]: I personally still prefer Table Rock Beach a bit better than Victoria Beach due to slightly easier parking, easier to navigate, and prettier beach, but the pirate tower is certainly unique.

We initially tried to drive by and find parking but a majority of the area had no parking signs up, since it's a residential area. I actually didn't even see the entrance when we were driving around. It was later on when we were hanging out on the Laguna Beach Trolley that we decided to make another attempt at Victoria Beach. We walked down the slope into the residential area and suddenly a narrow stairway appears. Super hidden area. Your efforts would be rewarded if you make the trek down because it is a stunningggg beach with barely any other people there. If you're brave you can walk across these bumpy rocks and visit the Victoria Pirate Tower. It's closed off so you won't be able to enter the tower but it's still neat to see. It's a pretty small beach and is tricky to get to, but if you enjoy beach views and dislike crowds, this trek would be worth it for you. And please keep in mind this beach is a state marine reserve, so please don't take any animals, shells or rocks with you.

I explored near Little Corona del Mar Beach, which I love because the beach size feels just right. The rocky shoreline makes it so aesthetic and unique. During low tide, I saw tiny crabs, small fish, and sea anemones in the clear pools. It felt peaceful and refreshing. Parking is limited and fills up fast, so I definitely recommend getting there early.

Parked and walked right onto the sand. 3.5/5 Bathroom If you have to go you have to go (Jurassic Park). Bathroom located right next to the parking lot. Older bathroom, could use a power wash or at least an air freshener. Shower right on the outside to wash off the sand. 5/5 Parking No paid parking by the beach, unheard of. My eldest daughter and I were at Sunset Beach for the Sunset Beach Arts Festival on Mother's Day…read more05/11/26. What a quaint area! Beach was serene and lovely. Weather was perfect... not too hot or cold. We weren't able to stay for too long as we had another event to attend to that day. We were able to stroll through the area and enjoy the scenic drive. Lots of small shops and restaurants on the main road. It didn't seem too crowded at the time, but then again, it was early morning. I'm sure as the day goes by, there would be more people. Parking was hard to find or perhaps I wasn't looking at the right place. I would love to return here one day to see the sunset from this beach. It is named Sunset Beach so I can imagine how beautiful the sunset would be. Can't wait to find out!
