After reading the comments on this company on other pages I say 'Thanks God' I didn't buy a ticket from such a rude and fraudulent scumbag. For the fishing trips, the company go out five times a day, seven days a week, from March to November (providing the weather isn't too rough). Each trip lasts for a duration of 90 minutes which is ample time to catch enough mackerel for your tea (and probably enough to last you through the week!). The cost is £20 per head (£10 for spectators) and this included the use of fishing rods and bait. Its quite a simple technique and the boys on the boat will help you reel in the fish and kill them if you get stuck. The killing is a little gruesome but I believe its an important thing to do if you want to follow the process through from start to finish. It was maybe a little crowded on the boat which led to the lines becoming entangled on occasion. But its a fun way to spend a couple of hours, especially when the sun is shining and the seas are calm. I brought home seven mackerel, a pretty good catch. And being able to eat fish that was swimming in the sea just a few hours before is a true delight.

Very cheap They have a shop where they sell everything for fishing and there is also a small cafe where they serve hot food until 2pm. The owner of the shop is very nice and very helpful. He will help you find the equipment that you need to fish and will even explain you how to set it up (if you are a beginner like me!). I highly recommend it!

Surprisingly there's a lot of pollack, cod, and bass to be had above some of the many boat wrecks scattered around the Sussex Coast. We paid around £50 per head for our trip and I think it was worth every penny. You get to keep some of what you catch which is always a bonus!

The people who run the boats are very friendly, we left on time, and the trip was great! However, I think a commentary ( live, or recorded) would be beneficial. A lot of people had questions about the wind farm , which luckily my partner had a bit of knowledge so could chat about them, and the proposal to enlarge it. Also it would be good to actually serve drinks rather than just advertise them. After all, it's a 2 hour round trip. I think you are missing a trick Rossboats !

The chaos in there was funny, really friendly, and didn't try to sell you just expensive branded things. They explained to the boyff what he needed, how to maintain it, and so on. For what is basically a garden shed next to a garden centre it seemed they had it all there in every nook and cranny. I personally am not interested in fishing, nor ever will be I doubt, but, I'll go back there 100% even to buy the other half presents as you know they won't take the Mikey and advise/sell you what it is that you would need and the level and sophistication of what standard you are. Arlington is a small reservoir, constructed in 1971 to supply water to Eastbourne, Hailsham,…read morePolegate and Heathfield. Built on the site of part of the Cuckmere River bed, the reservoir is an oval shape, with a long curving dam. The maximum depth is 37ft (11.3m) and its total capacity is 3546 million litres of water, all abstracted from the Cuckmere River in winter. The 49 hectare site was designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest in 1985, and is also a Local Nature Reserve. It contains a diverse range of habitats, which in turn support some 173 species of bird, including a winter population of 10,000 wildfowl. The site has hides for birdwatching, and also provides some of the best trout fishing in the South East of England (tel: 01323 870810). The water company also organises school nature trips, including pond dipping. The reservoir path also provides a reasonably level walking trail, which, as well as wildlife, also offers lovely views of the South Downs. Overall, this is a wonderful place to visit if you want a day trip out or if you are touring East Sussex. I personally have recommended this place to people wanting to go to see some beautiful sights.
