This means someone is not being truthful. What made things worse was how difficult it was to get in touch with anyone. I tried multiple times via phone and email with very delayed or no responses. For a place that once felt welcoming and reliable, the lack of hospitality and basic customer service was really surprising. Unfortunately, this experience has completely changed how we feel about staying here again.

They were unable to solve the issue. After he left, I was able to figure out where the breaker was and fixed it myself. After our later than expected dinner we put on bathing suites to get into the hot tub which we found to be empty! The kids were crushed! We called the office the next morning. They informed us the hot tub was broken. They stated that the post was changed in June of this year to no longer include pictures of the hottub. We booked in July. Pictures of the hot were absolutely posted at that time. It was the main reason we booked the house. The office was apologetic and offered us a paltry 5% discount. We told them not to bother and they went up to 15%, which is still a ridiculously low offer/poor customer service. This place is at best poorly managed and at worst deceptive. We have been here for less than 24 hours and it has not been worth the money or the time to drive here.

First time staying at an Inn/AirBNB type place. At first, it felt strange to let ourselves into this big beautiful house and to be the only ones there. But the better half grew up going to Inns and Bed and Breakfast type places and she was all in. NICE. That is the main word I would use to sum up The Collins. Especially with how well they took care of us for our anniversary. Every little detail was thought out and taken care of. The lady who was working there while we were there could not have been better. Super nice and attentive. WE LOVED THE COLLINS. I have been going to Ocean Shores my entire life but always stayed on the main hotel strip. The Collins is on the backside of Ocean Shores and very secluded from the tourist-y parts of the town. The house is gorgeous. A huge house with so many different things in it to do right across the street from the beach. The Collins has that beautiful, awesome Ocean Shores beach aesthetic while also being a very upscale, beautiful inn. My favorite thing about The Collins [aside from the hot tub] is just how well thought out everything is. From the all day snacks and breakfast. To every little touch they add. The people who created and run The Collins are obviously big fans of this type of Inn and really worked hard to create their ultimate image of it. And you can feel that in every little detail of The Collins experience. We also liked the french toast, Starbucks egg bites and all of the things they give you for breakfast here. The pastries were my favorite but we liked everything. We were also incredibly impressed at our room fridge having some nice juice and snacky type options. The better half and I loved this experience. We had such a nice time here. The hot tub, the wine, the chocolates, the kick ass shower, the nice breakfast and snacks. If you're looking for a great experience with your special person, it's hard to think of a better option than The Collins. I've stayed in pretty much every hotel in Ocean Shores and The Collins is definitely at the top of the list if you want a nice, beautiful, relaxing, memorable experience for you and your special person.

Huge kitchen and comfy living room. Happy they had AC when it was warm! Pet friendly, toddler friendly - but no bath tub in the cabin. We happily cooked dinner and breakfast here and the Inn has snacks/drinks to buy as well with an honor system. Walking distance from Damon Point to hunt for agates, and a short drive from town. Thanks for the stay!

It is attached to the main house so you can rent one or both depending on the size of your group. The owners were great about answering my voicemails and emails. There is a very small bedroom with a double or queen sized bed. The pillows and mattress weren't the best, but that might be my one single complaint. The living room has a nice TV, a DVD player and a bunch of DVDs, a cute little electric fireplace and a ton of comfy blankets. It was great to curl up on the couch with wine and a movie after a long, cold, wet day of hiking in Olympic National Park. The kitchen is updated and fully stocked, even had spices and such. There's a small dining area where we ate breakfast every morning. The price is great and way below any of the waterfront "resorts" I also found online. We ended up driving past some of the other places I considered and they looked like dumps. Our house was adorable and actually probably the nicest house in town, from what we witnessed. The location is unbeatable for trips into the Rainforest and Olympic National Park. Port Angeles is a quick 45-60 minute drive if you need a "city." The drive from Seattle airport to Forks is beautiful and was definitely a great part of our trip. A note on Forks, WA: This place is weird. Of course I'm aware of the Twilight phenomenon and the role Forks plays. There is NOTHING here. There are a couple of poor to mediocre restaurants. A main street with some everyday shops, hardware stores, and bizarre Twilight themed shops. We didn't spend any time in the town except for a couple dinners. We found Pacific Pizza to be the least disappointing. We would totally stay here again and would definitely recommend to friends.

They were renovating other rooms so that means it's getting better! Pros: - Surprisingly large room with lots of space. - Comfy beds with 4 pillows per bed. Pillows were medium soft and I liked them. - Ginormous flat screen TV. - Effective heater/AC unit in the main area. It's the kind where you pick hot/cold and hi/low and it continuously runs. The low setting isn't too loud yet effectively masks most of the road noise. - Desk with lamp, outlets, and decent office chair. - Pretty clean. Wasn't afraid to set my stuff down or snuggle into the bed. - Cozy towels and plenty of them. - Pretty affordable. My stay was $89 after tax. - Fridge hiding in the cabinet under the TV. - Very effective (albeit weird-looking) bedlamps. - Toilet clean and worked well, and has a hi/low flush buttom on the top to conserve water. - Wifi of decent speed and password-secured. - Lots of food options in the surrounding area. Cons: - All of the road noise. Never been so thankful for heater/AC noise to help mask it. - Gross coffee. Really bad. - The heater in the bathroom was rusty and ragged. I was too afraid to turn it on. - Gross ironing board provided, complete with what looks like mold spots. - Shower bare minimum passable. Soap/shampoo cheap, showerhead adequate but not great, and the temp controls aren't very effective. Water's always within tolerable parameters in terms of pressure and temperature, but you kinda get what you get. - General "low rent" feel: Dated, cheap, etc. Overall, adequate. Wouldn't go out of my way to stay at Olympic Inn & Suites again, but wouldn't be opposed to it either. Though I'm curious to see what comes of the renovations they're doing.
