Scott throughly explained the process and was honest in his assessment - always try to remove the wallpaper first, and sure enough, they did! The prices are great too - I am sure it's the best in terms of the quality of work. They are professional painters - the end result will be beautiful. Our deck of Wolmanized wood was put up in 1989 and seems sound. The Final Coat Co. applied a…read morepaint-like light gray stain in 2019 that I recall them saying would last 20 or more years. It began flaking immediately. They touched it up 3 times, but it just kept on flaking. I gave up, but now we wanted to sell our house, and it looked awful (see photos). The Final Coat told me it was out of warranty and was not their problem. I offered to split the cost with them in some manner, as I realize it's been 5 years now. They told me they would only redo it for full price. I had Deck Rescue redo it, it cost $1800, and our deck now looks fine. If The Final Coat had told me it would cost $3600 to redo and they would split it with me, I would have paid them the $1800. I also think that after retouching 3 times in 2019 they should have checked back with me to see if it was alright. If you are considering using Final Coat, I would think twice about it.
