These gyms have not ever come close to providing the commitment, camaraderie, and community that Eric and Boombox provide. My first experience with Boombox was when I had left my previous gym in 2016 as a newer level 1 coach and Eric was quick to welcome me to the Boombox family. It took one drop-in for me to know that BMBX was the right spot for me and to know I was in good hands. Eric and I have been homies ever since, and to this day I feel so welcomed every chance I get to drop in. My point is, if you're looking for a gym try this one. Eric makes it SO EASY to get a good workout in and train not to suck at life.

Christina is absolutely AMAZING. She is extremely knowledgeable, professional, conscientious, and thorough. She has the amazing ability to treat each and every single one of her clients as if they are her only client. Your goals become her goals. She develops thorough plans to help clients achieve their goals and she follows through with those plans. She will hold you accountable and encourage you to become the best version of yourself that you can possibly be. She is very detail-oriented and organized and she uses those skills to ensure that progress is made. I have gotten hurt when I worked with other trainers in the past, but I have NEVER gotten hurt and I have always felt SAFE with Christina. I know I can trust her. She even prescribes exercises that one can do at home to help correct issues or to help ensure continued progress. Christina has a knack for pushing you past your comfort level to a point that you would never have gone on your own, BUT she never asks you to do something unsafe that will result in injury. She has helped me to do/achieve things that I never thought I would be able to do. Other trainers don't care about your growth or progress. They are content with providing clients with the same routines. They don't care if their clients plateau. All they care about is collecting their money. Christina is not like that at all. She diligently adjusts the plans she formulates for her clients to ensure growth and progress. To her, you are not just another nameless face, you are a person who matters. Her services are superlative. The content of her character is superlative.

This place is like the gym Average Joe's in the movie Dodge Ball (except not the good guys, just…read morethe average part). They have some great instructors, but unfortunately the members create an atmosphere of insecurity and fear. If you show up with any experience, confidence, or heaven forbid are good looking, in shape, and not religious, then you will be hated like you're a Globo Gym member. Not only will they hate you, they will begin to spread lies and rumors about you and give you dirty glances. We witnessed them allow a member to continuously cause trouble, disobey the rules of the mat, and disrespect other members of the gym and the instructors and manager never did anything until after 9 months of not paying his dues they finally kicked him out. This guy was over 6' tall, 270 pounds, tattoos on his face... he was intimidating. He was also a very poor sport, no sportsmanship and no regard for etiquette. He threw tantrums when he didn't get submissions in jiu jitsu, he was always challenging the upper ranked belts to prove himself, he tried to start physical altercations with professional fighters at fight night, he tried to start fights with my husband threatening him through text, and they even allowed this member's young son to accost little girls in jiu jitsu, making creepy comments to them, and bullying other members of all ages, much like his father. There is a heavy Christian influence pervading the place, which seems to encourage the negative behavior. They forgive the bully over and over which punishes the victims. That member was just one example of the culture at large. Be aware of the groups of women who are there every day who act like they own the place and bully around doing what they want without consequences, acting like their membership doesn't cost the same as yours. If you want to go back to high school but pay for it, then this is your spot.

It seemed like he'd already fixed someone in my exact situation 100x. Maybe he has? idk but the dude was a wizard and worked his magic. He was extremely knowledgeable almost like he would re-read his medical texts books on his lunch breaks or something. It took several weeks to make sure everything healed correctly avoiding pushing it too hard and taking any steps backward. But I'll take weeks PT over surgery any day. I walked in on crutches, wearing a brace, in a ton of pain and by the end of it, I'm pretty sure I could have beat him in a parking lot sprint if I didn't think I'd hurt his feelings. Being hurt a lot over the years I can't stress enough how important it is to keep going to your appointments no matter how long it takes. If you show up to one appointment, get a print out and think n you can be Dr YouTube from there on out you're poorly mistaken and will pay for it later. I know because I've been that guy. I can't speak highly enough about Josh and The Temple. It's a legitimate Veteran Owned Business. You can't go wrong with supporting a place like this. I recommend it to all my friends who like to get hurt too. Thanks again!

For me it simply meant recovering from back injuries. As a guy in my 50's who had a lot of back trouble this year, I went to Dee to rebuild my lost strength and to help prevent future injuries (my chiropractor recommended her). Working with my limitations and injuries, she tailored each workout to my specific goals and my ability level. For example, starting with resistance bands and gradually moving towards weights, and focusing on the core muscles I haven't been using which are critical to preventing injury. After a few months I'm noticing more muscle and feeling more confident performing daily tasks without hurting my back. She has also given me guidance on workouts I can do at home. Dee is funny and has input on many relevant topics including nutrition. I'd recommend her to clients at any level.

They were loud, disruptive, and bothering World Market shoppers and employees inside a business that was not theirs. I also overheard them loudly announcing that they planned to continue soliciting customers inside Ross and other nearby stores. When I brought this up to the LA Fitness manager, I was told, "They are doing their job." No, sir. Promoting memberships near your own gym is doing their job. Entering unrelated businesses and pestering people who are simply trying to shop is inappropriate and unprofessional. I don't know what incentive employees receive for each membership signup, but this aggressive solicitation was ridiculous. If LA Fitness wants new members, it should attract them through good facilities and customer service--not by sending loud salespeople into neighboring businesses to chase down shoppers.
