Among all the LA Fitness locations I've visited across Canada, Washington, Oregon, and California, this one stands out as one of the best. The newer LIFT room is a major highlight, featuring multiple squat racks, high-quality machines, a wide range of free weights, and even an indoor sprint/sled track. It's clearly designed with serious lifters in mind. I'd give it a full 5 stars, but there are a few minor drawbacks: (A) The weight racks aren't labeled, making it unclear where to re-rack plates (B) There's only one set of barbell clips shared across eight benches on the main floor (C) The pool temperature felt a bit too cool--it could definitely be warmer That said, the gym is clean, well-maintained, and offers a solid mix of strength and cardio equipment. Overall, it's a great place to work out. ******And FYI ... my note to the the gym 4/6/26****** I visited the Winchester location a few months ago and recently came back. The LIFT room is excellent--really well done. However, I noticed both during my recent visit and last winter that there are about eight incline, decline, and flat benches on the main floor, but only one set of barbell clips available. As a result, some benches go unused, or members end up lifting without clips, which isn't safe. Adding more clips would make a big difference. False Advertising, My mom in law is a member since 2002 and they told me they're gonna give me the same plan as her. Which is 34.99 a month and no anual fee. But since they cant waived the annual fee I was told that my April and May bill would be waived. And now I was charged for both months and they said I can pay 10$ each for april and may and I can still come. My point is this is not we agreed on lol and they said they can only do these this year. Which I was told every year. And its not even a 24/7 gym. read more

This location is the worse place to workout. Between the high school kids, moms /housewife groups holding up equipment, getting a good timely workout is close to impossible. They need to add more equipment or move to a larger location. I'm sure this location worked when the population in the area was lower, but now is no longer adequate for the area. read more

My husband and I visited LA Fitness yesterday evening to inquire about membership options for our family (both of us, our college student and soon-to-be college student). Angel A. assisted us. He gave us a tour of the facility and answered all of our questions before sitting down to discuss the membership options. We noticed that the facility was clean and quiet which is what we most care about at this stage in our lives. We happened to be there on a holiday and there was a promotion going on. Angel gave us a thorough explanation of the fees which seemed reasonable. We only need access to one facility so our fees may not have been as high as others, but we actually prefer the exclusivity that the higher monthly fee will afford us. We noticed that most of the people in the gym seemed to be focused on their workouts and using the various equipment and engaging in classes. . .and Angel mentioned that there had been recent updates to the facility. We haven't started using the facility yet, but I don't anticipate experiencing the problems that others may have listed here. My family will be using the facility for general wellness.. .so it matters less to us if specific pieces of equipment are available at any given time. . .we'll likely just chose a different one. I see how this can be irritating to people who have specific training needs, but not an issue that we anticipate for ourselves. We are also a little more laid-back. . .so some of the irritants mentioned by other reviewers (related to music type, etc. aren't an issue.) read more

When you find a gym you really like, part of you doesn't even want to tell anyone about it. I go early in the morning, so crowds aren't an issue--but honestly, this place is worth the quiet praise. I want to take a moment to recommend and commend Elijah for completely restoring my faith in LA Fitness. Honestly, I was ready to let my membership expire after a terrible experience at the Murrieta location and was planning to switch to another gym. But Elijah reached out to me and took the time to explain everything in such a transparent way that I decided to stay. What stood out the most is that Elijah isn't after your money, he genuinely wants to give you the best deal possible. You can tell he truly loves his job because he's always prompt in responding, whether by call or text, even on his days off. He consistently goes the extra mile to accommodate me, and he's never pushy. He respects that any amount of money is hard-earned and gives you the space to think about what was discussed before making a decision. This type of customer care is rare. Hitomi Merino is my personal trainer at LA Fitness Temecula. She has educated me and improved my workout at the gym 100 times more than I thought possible. Recently moved to Temecula and transferred to the LA Fitness - Temecula location. Seems like a decent place. Met Rich, a Personal Trainer , good guy, knows his stuff. Got some tips on how to gain 10 lbs of lean muscle and set up my kids with personal training sessions with him to kick start their health and fitness goals early. You will be very well entertained to join the membership and very quickly to collect the first month membership fee, but goodluck cancelling your membership. You cant cancel it in person, they will give you an email address where it takes them forever to reply. They will wait probably a whole year to collect your money before they will close your account. Where do I even start with this gym... the overall sales experience was just brutal I had to wait 10 minutes for someone to show up. Just the brief interaction with the sales counselor told me I should go the active and fit route. The dude needs to learn how to talk, he sounds nervous and confused. After I signed up through active and fit, I would then be harassed by the training manager in signing up for a complimentary session and possible training. I should be the one recommending it to him! I split my time from morning and evening workouts depending on work and man will you notice a big difference in staff. The young kid at the front desk in the mornings is such a great employee. The dude is a worker and is very generous to every person. In the evenings the people don't even greet or pay attention, looks like a friend group hanging out. Maybe it's because no manager is on duty? But regardless there is a big difference in environments. Big shoutout to the early morning dude for setting the bar! Janitorial staff is good as well. The male janitor David is amazing! Nice guy and very genuine. I thought he would've been related to the dude at the front desk given their similar personalities. By far those are the two best employees I've ever seen. I leave 2 stars because of the two guys. 1 for each. They basically carry the gym environment and work ethic. Ive been to many La fitnesses, this is actually one of the cleanest and biggest ones I've been to. The staff is literally cleaning around you and the bathrooms are always nice even during busy times. I love this gym & appreciate the staff on a spiritual level... I've been going here for over a year & one individual who has kept me motivated & energized is Rich. I started by going to his weekly group trainings while doing PT with other trainers one on one...and I truly don't know where my fitness journey would be without him, because in order to conform to a lifestyle you need support & motivation & uplifting from those that are skilled. I prefer this gym over the Cal Oaks location. It's a little further but I make it a point to drive here. The pool is bigger, cleaner and no chlorine odors, to be overcome by. I asked for the filtered water fountain and was told there wasn't one. That's one feature I love at the Cal Oaks gym. I guess they want us to purchase water or juices from them. This gym is clean and massive; equipped with Workout rooms, swimming pool, Racquet ball courts, basketball court, and other rooms for different classes. It is well worth my drive. I have a problem climbing stairs and all but one treadmill and one bicycle with the seating back is upstairs. I've had to wait my turn for the use of these two items. That can be an issue sometimes. I hope that the Murrieta location will get a face lift soon. For now, I will continue to come to this gym. Friendly staff too! 5 stars for Temecula LA Fitness ! read more

Still love the fact that it's one of the cleaner LA Fitness locations I've been to. There's always at least one cleaning person no matter what day and time I'm working out. However, the shower situation has me rethinking the cleanliness of the water. Is it because of the rain? Adjustments to the shower heads? Recycling of water? Whatever the case, the water pressure has deteriorated and the water itself smelled. Call me crazy, but I'm pretty sure clean water is not supposed to smell! Like fresh seafood, no smell means great quality... any smell usually means bad quality. Also, I've been noticing a lack of management presence. Holiday season? Still not a good sign though. Every great company knows to have proper coverage no matter what time of year. Last time I was there, the front desk was tossing a ball across the room. I know you need to stay awake and alert, but come on?! Hopefully management and/or customer service actually reads here reviews and makes the appropriate improvements. read more

I've had a membership with LA Fitness for some time but never really utilized it for what it is; A large gym, with pool, basket ball courts, jacuzzi, showers, etc. Here recently, I decided to get more out of it and really dedicate to working out so I got a personal trainer with this gym. Casey who hooked me up was more than helpful and made sure I got the most I could out of the package I started with. When I started training, Corrine and T were my trainers. They were very nice and so easy to work with and schedule my sessions with. The gym's app also makes it so easy to schedule sessions or keep up everything the gym offers. Personally I love this gym. It's got a huge kids Care area with a play structure and TV screen and toys. All the workers and front desk staff are super nice. They have a clean, spacious facility with good equipment. They just put in new flooring which didn't actually make much of a difference but I guess it was needed. There's an indoor pool, basketball court, spin room, multiple racquetball courts (which I recently tried and found to be super fun) and a fitness room. Fitness Classes - This is the thing that makes me love this gym. The classes and teachers rock. I've belonged to a bunch of gyms in my life and this one has a stellar group of fitness instructors. Don't be intimidated. They give you a great workout but don't push you to the point where you never want to come back. Very dynamic and effective workouts. Way better then you'll ever get just doing machines and some cardio (unless you're a badass). The have really affordable membership rates (I pay $25 per month) and frequent deals for holidays that help with the initiation fees and extra crap gyms usually charge upon signup. But al in all it's worth it. I feel the gym honors their members requests and suggestions and it's a warm and friendly environment amongst members. Not a meat market! read more

I wasn't going to leave a review but the more I think about what happened the more taken advantage of and upset I become. I went to LA fitness to inquire about personal training because I wanted to take my fitness to another level, I was referred to Kevin who is the The manager for this department. Of course like anything in the beginning everything is pleasant,Promises are made,guarantees are issued but after signing up that wasn't my experience. My first work out was with Kevin which also was great and made me motivated and excited what these six months would be like. Then my next workout was with a trainer who was very awkward and unprofessional. Immediately after my workout I came to Kevin and asked if there were other trainers, from there he matched me with a trainer named with a different trainer who was great. I was coming in 3 to 4 times a week meeting with my trainer and even coming in on my own, running and doing what I was told but somehow I gained more weight then I was losing (When I came in I was 143 we agreed 135 would be my target weight when I left this November I was 153)so I figured ok maybe this isn't right for me. When I was working out on my own I was challenging myself and achieving my goals but having a trainer maybe isn't what works for me so after about 3 Months I asked what I needed to do to cancel the training the person at the front desk told me Kevin was with someone,that's who I needed to speak to Kevin and he would give me a call back. When he called me back I asked what I needed to do to get out of the contract, he told me because I signed of for six months and I was obligated to those six month. I asked is there anything I could do to just cut it short I was told no so I asked when my contract would be up I was told November so from there I continued to train and waste money and time since I still wasn't seeing the results I wanted, which kinda make me feel terrible and lose motivation also it didn't help that there were a few creepy guys bothering me on some of solo workouts which made my fiancé convince me to come over to 24 hour fitness The last month I put myself on the schedule because I figured if I'm forced to pay this money then my trainer should at least get paid instead of LA fitness just taking my money for themselves November I came in to cancel around the time I was told to then I was told I had to make one more payment because technically I was signed up til December of course confused I'm like you and 3 other LA fitness associates told me I was up in November (I called a few times to make sure to stay on track) from there Brian proceeded to tell me I could do a buy out for 250 and that would get me out of this last month. THATS when I became confused and upset because had I KNOWN this 3 months ago I wouldn't have wasted almost 1500$ I specifically asked the first time I called if there was anything I could do to cut it short and I was told no so I paid the 250 because LA fitness has you pay first and last in the beginning I didn't have to pay the me membership again but that was really disappointing. If you're coming seeking help and wanting to make changes in your life people should be honest and not take advantage of you I had about 24 unused workouts wasted 1500 and on top of that still had to do a buy out. No sympathy just took my money and on to the next soul. LA fitness is an ok gym but this experience was disappointing, I'm way happier at 24 hour fitness, they have more machines, everyone seems to be motivated and really working out here which motivates me to workout harder. A shame I wasted so much time and money at LA fitness only to be lied to and disregarded. Hopefully someone will read this and take this into consideration the next time a mom comes in wanting to take accountability and invest in there health and confidence. Don't just take there money and make them feel like you don't care after you've gotten it. Side note Cutter and Aiden are awesome they make up for the rest. read more
