Kitchen has it changing from left-right to front-back in the middle of the counter. All four of the bathroom vanities run in different directions and the backsplashes do not match the vanity tops. One side runs the same the other is turned 90 degrees. They never gave us a layout. The stone wasn't sealed so water marks showed everywhere until we sealed it ourselves. There are tape marks on the kitchen surface. They sent three people with bottle of Bar Keepers Friend to fix it. Didn't work, still have tape marks. What a mess they made of some beautiful and expensive quartzite stone.

They went above and beyond to address to our concerns and delivered an superior quality remodel of our backyard entryway and outdoor deck of that blends seamlessly with and enhances the look and feel of our 1930's home. They were very prompt and well-organized throughout the entire project, they maintained a tidy job site and quickly completed our build on-time and on-budget. From framing to finish, electrical, painting, plumbing, drywall, roofing and decking, their crew was friendly, efficient, and professional and delivered excellent workmanship across the board. I could not recommend Cooper's Land & Home more highly. If we have the chance to, we would absolutely work with them again on a project of any size.

The owner accused me of phishing them and ignored my calls to explain that the pictures and list of items was being firewalled. Owner then was semi-combative. I tried sending them via personal email but the damage was done. The business owner does not know how to properly communicate and made false accustations about my intentions on work during the estimate process. This gentleman needs to take a course on customer interactions. Be wary of this person.

Jim was honest and told us that the window was not bad and even suggested I could recaulk it as I am a DYI type person even telling me the best type of caulk to use. For the bathroom, he was very thorough in asking us questions and making suggestions, but not being pushy. Very pleasant to talk and work with. After 4 different contractors we eventually chose a different one based on what we felt was the best fit. Jim gave reasonable prices and even caught a potential issue two of the other contractors missed. He followed up when we told him we were expecting to make a decision and didn't get mad when I informed him we had not chosen his company. We had a great conversation with him after we gave him the bad news and he was understanding. We will definitely keep his number handy for future projects.

When it came to the day of closing they said about 3 to 4 weeks more. I asked them to call back and give us a firm date and time or we may cancel. To everyones surprise that listened to the phone conversation that I was on with this construction company, the construction company just cancelled it without calling us back and gave the money to the previous seller that does not own the home anymore. I called the construction company again today to ask them when they were coming and they said we cancelled the deal. I asked could they give me proof in writing of all this and have yet to hear a word back by phone or email. All I can say is I would never do business with this company. Beware if you do.

He went as far as to but the toilet and vanity in the bathroom, in there place and send pictures that they were finished. With further inspection they were just propped up with out any installation. I received over 20 text messages everyday with pages and pages of every kind of message you could imagine, it would start really nice, then make excuses, then threatening me, accusing me of making him homeless. Then the next morning he would start texting apologizing and being nice and then he would just repeat the day before. His wife had no idea where he was, and sent her brother to try and help. He was very nice and tried to help. But OMG, I had to hire people to come and remove all the stuff he left behind, he refused to come to the home and pick up his stuff and give back the money for the work he did not due. He broke a brand new door screen door $300. scratched up the top of my brand new stainless steal stove. He piled a bunch of garbage on the porch and left it there. I had to hire people to come and clean up his mess. I could go on and on about what a nightmare this was. Run don't walk, Run from this nightmare. I have 100's of pictures I could share.

I contracted with this company to build a 3 season room on my existing deck and then add a new deck. He was given a deposit so he could add the project on his schedule and then 2 1/2 months later he requested money si he can start purchasing materials for the project. For the next 7 months after he received the payment for the materials he continued to have excuse after excuse why the project hasn't been started/finished. At that point I canceled the project completely and requested a full refund. He claimed not to have any of the money I gave him and that he would need to pay me back over the next 7 months. He made 1 payment and then reneged on the 2nd. He then decided to take this to a judge in Kane County since that's the county I dwell in, because now he can't pay me the amount he originally agreed upon. Court date is coming up next month.
