I went to Daisy for a haircut and showed her pictures of what I was looking for. This is same hairstyle that I've had for a number of years so I'm not asking for anything unrealistic. She spent a lot of time cutting the hair on the back of my head and much less time with the rest of my hair. I didn't know how much she was going to charge but wasn't concerned as she seemed to know what she was doing and I thought it would be worth it. The cut was $100 plus $20.00 tip. My hair looked okay when I left the salon but when I styled it the next day I noticed random long pieces of hair mixed in with short pieces of hair that she obviously missed. After 3 weeks, my cut had grown out and by week 4 it's a total disaster. This is one the worst cut that I've ever had. read more

Sculpted salon is a place I will always return to when my hair is need of love, or I'm feeling for a change in my locs. Conveniently located in the same shopping plaza of a boba shop, and right across the street from a Dutch Bros, it is nestled right next to a nail salon. I have very long, thick, and coarse curly hair and I've had wonderful work be done by Lakea here. She is extremely down to earth and understanding, especially as I am not one to bring reference photos and can be a bit indecisive at times. She is truly passionate about what she does, and it is apparent in the care in her work! I have had highlights, a money piece, and layering done to my curly hair to add definition. After an awful experience a week before with a stylist who wasn't told I had an appointment after a month of corresponding with someone at their front desk, I was on the lookout for someone to refresh my grown out highlights, and scraggly ends. I reached out to all of my friends for salon recommendations. My friend referred me to, Daisy, as she said she was comfortable with coloring textured hair. Side note- I know curly hair is becoming all the rave, but in Sacramento it's still so hard to find someone who knows/wants to handle the many personalities of curly hair, and give it the justice it so desperately needs. Anywho, I reached out immediately. In less then 20 minutes Daisy calls me, and consults me over the phone. The fact that she called, and went over the appointment process was already a huge step up from the salons I had previously visited. She was so warm on the phone, and so with some faith I booked an appointment. I walked in a week later, and was greeted with excitement, and with a professional sincerity. She sat me down, and introduced herself to my hair which she continued to exclaim, "I'm so excited, this is going to be fun". She began to cut it dry, after I had explained to her what I wanted. Ladies, a dry cut for curls is so important especially if you have a go to style. And for someone to tailor your cut for that look is a blessing. I felt at ease. Though she took off a little more then I expected, I was pleased given I knew she evened out my attempts to trim my own hair, and took off all the mangy ends holding down my bounce! She then proceeded to color it. The end look wasn't exactly what I had envisioned, I wanted it a little lighter, but she ran down why she didn't recommend going all in at one time. Basically I want my hair to be as low maintenance as possible. The look I wanted was an all around highlight, but she explained to me that I didn't really want to do a whole head look because the line of demarcation would be very apparent therefore creating more maintenance. The service was pricy, so ask her for a consultation beforehand. I didn't ask, but I kind of knew what to expect. All in all it was worth it. It's been two days since my appointment, and the color has lightened so I am actually pleased. If you want someone passionate, who loves your hair more then you do, and has great conversation, hit up Ms. Daisy! Side note- curly girls, your hair when processed is going to look dry. What I recommend is this. Go to Sally's down the street from her salon grab some ApHogee two step protein treatment. Not the keratin one! Go home wash your hair in Olaplex. I'm blessed and have an aunt who provided her Olaplex set for me to use, I know it's expensive, but it helps sooo much! Wash your hair with the shampoo, and conditioner the night before your hair appointment, use the hair reconstructer, and the leave in conditioner. After the appointment, go home wash it out with the Olaplex shampoo, and conditioner again. Pour the ApHogee treatment into a spray bottle, and distribute it all over the hair, follow the instructions! After the product has dried, rinse, and follow with a deep conditioner. Leave that on for at least 20 minutes. Rinse, but not all of it. Follow with your regular styling products. It will take a couple of weeks for your curls to look lovely again, but make sure to use a deep hair mask twice a week, and protein every three weeks. After relocating about a month ago to the area, I was searching for a new stylist. I had driven by this salon almost daily and the name had enough appeal to prompt me to walk in, I was fortunate enough to find Lakea, she was friendly and made me feel welcome as soon as i walked in. I was rather vague telling her what I was looking for because i was feeling bad about my long lifeless hair but she actually took the time to get to know my hair,promptly came up with suggestions and we agreed to create dimension by adding some well placed baby lights on the crown area, thicker highlights on the base and bottom, a face framing moneypiece, to take a few inches off and refresh my layers. I couldn't be happier with the results, Lakea made my hair look stunning! She not only corrected my color but she actually fixed my damaged ends without cutting them all off. The color transformation in my hair looks amazing, my hair is now a shiny beautiful creamy blonde. My hair feels much healthier, has volume and the style has lasted for days! Lakea expertly brought back health and beauty to my hair and I love that she cares enough for her clients that she will recommend what's best for you even if it may not bring her the biggest It was an absolute pleasure to have my hair done by someone who is a delightful person to talk to and also enjoys what she does. Okay so full disclosure my hair isn't done yet. I went in for the first time today. I called during my lunch break to see if they had an appointment and explained that my wedding is upcoming and I need my hair done because the wedding is in 2 weeks. They worked with me and got me in at 5pm. The Owner Daisy stayed late to take care of me. I kept her there till 8 with how much work my hair needed. I'm not normally the kind of girl to be chatty in the salon but Daisy had me laughing and chatting all night. My hair needs more work tomorrow to get the color correct but with what I see after just one session I love it. She is a little pricey but that's the price of doing business with a small local salon so be warned on that. I feel like she did amazing and wish I had more $$$ to tip more and properly pay for the amazing service. Daisy was worth it. read more

They should have prices posted or tell you the price of a haircut if they are going to charge you $95.00 for a simple haircut (with a $5.00 off first time customer). A $100. Haircut is simply outrageous and you should tell your customer ahead of time. Would absolutely never go back. I got taken advantage of. read more

I absolutely loved my haircutting experience with Lakea. She really took her time getting my curls layered perfectly, and brought life back to my hair. I'd been cutting my own hair since the pandemic and she did a brilliant job. Really brought out the best in my curls. Lakea was also super kind and we had a great conversation.
