Bit of background on me- I met Diana and her husband on a recent cruise and exchanged info just in case but usually I book cruises myself (this is the 30th) and Mom wanted a heavy Adratic cruise and I wasn't finding much.. The pre-cruise preparation were awful! The guide and co-owner, Amy, provided little in the way of information until just before the cruise and told us to take more than was needed. Aside from an orientation session, information was hard to come by and getting emails from her was like pulling teeth. I strongly discourage anyone from booking travel at this agency.

It seems that she bends over backwards following up to all my questions (and I have many). I am a very high maintenance traveler requiring certain things for cruises and recently demanding the very best on my trip to Italy. She goes above and beyond always, calling me in the evening when most travel agencies are closed. Yes, she takes care of the fine details even when she should be off the clock. While I was in Italy, I realized how many details she took care of from the five different hotels I stayed at to all the dinner reservations and tours. Before the trip, she treated me to coffee at Starbucks while she handed over all my travel docs and explained everything I needed to know. Over an hour she spent with me on a Saturday morning just to provide the kind of service that you don't find with many travel agencies. I'm going back to Amy this summer for Alaska and Australia in the fall. There is no one else I would trust my travel planning to. I hound her a lot and call her maybe too much with ideas and questions, but she never loses patience with me, always giving me the utmost quality service. FYI...Can I Go Travel does not specialize in Gay travel. Not that it should matter...I have nothing against that, but I've been using this company long enough to know that is not true...so I have to set the record straight Can I Go Travel is the best in my book. Then she sent me a "placeholder" itinerary that was not personalized and was just a bunch of redundant information not pertaining to me. She sent concepts for hotels, but the information was difficult to read and the items sent were overpriced. I assume she sends out the same form letter type itinerary with the same information to every one of her clients. It felt like prying information from her trying to get answers, then she stated only does flights and hotels. Everything else was up to me, which was not disclosed up front. After expressing our concerns and clarifying what we needed, Amy decided to discontinue working with us but only offered a partial refund, requesting Venmo information. I should have seen the red flags when she told me that another client was angry and not happy with her service. I wanted to believe that was just a one time occurrence, but boy was I wrong!!! I still have not received a full refund. After researching, I've learned a travel agent should not be charging you upfront as they get commission from all hotels and flights they book. Our stress level was through the roof working with her, she basically wants you to do all the work. Not the fun experience we thought we were going to get. I want to make sure nobody else goes through the same horrible experience as I did.
