Pete is a very accomplished and delightful manager of the operation and dive instructor. PROS: 1. Strong emphasis on safety for his divers, absolutely the highest order of instruction for Scuba. 2. Shows sincere interest in being helpful to new students who need an expert's guidance. 3. Offers continuing education for divers who wish to become more proficient, such as Rescue Diver, Divemaster, and many specialty classes - a big plus. 4. Selection of equipment for divers covers everything from a new mask to various sizes of Scuba tanks. 5. Air for filling tanks. The tanks are filled by Pete or a professional, especially critical for divers using "mixed gas" such as blends of nitrox. 6. Pete offers trips for divers especially to Florida's East coast where visibility in the open water greatly exceeds Gulf of Mexico visibility. Offers trips to the Caribbean, a big plus. VALUE: I'm happy to recommend Pete's as a perfect value as a starting off place to introduce Scuba to new divers as well as experienced divers looking for their next five trip, class or equipment. Great Holiday trip out to the USCGC Mohawk In town for the…read moreweek of Thanksgiving, I tried several local shops to see who had tips planned. Most said "no-trips" they were taking the holiday off ( Seems odd for a service driven business) Not H2O, Ant texted me back saying he had trips going out to the Mohawk Wednesday or Friday. 5 experienced divers (2 swimming the wreck and 3 spearfishing) all fit perfectly on this very comfortable 33 foot boat with plenty of seating and coolers. At pickup, Capt Ant had on-board larger steel NITROX (or Air) tanks and soft weights for everyone. He arrange for gear rentals the day before and even took the gear back for us after the holiday. Great Trip, Great Service. Fun guys. Best day diving in Florida I have ever had. P.S. On the wreck: 4 Goliath Grouper, 100+ Amber Jacks, Tuna and millions of little baitfish. If you have not been down to the Mohoawk in 2+ year it is completely different dive now.

Meyers in the evening, called Derek at Flicker and he had a diver at the boat the next morning. When the repair was discovered to require pulling the boat out he found us a boat yard that could take us the same day. He then called back the next morning to check on us. We had good weather, and we were fortunate to have come upon several pods of dolphins along the way. I sat on the left-hand side of the boat near the front, and I did get unexpectedly soaked for the first 10 minutes or so, which subsided after that. One thing I'll mention for the benefit of other first-timers: I was under the false assumption that this boat would be going so fast that we would break the space-time continuum, based on the videos I've seen. However, when you're actually on the boat, it's not really going all that fast. You'll still want to remove or secure your hat, but you needn't worry about entering a wormhole or returning before you started.

The Thriller offers a little something for everyone. Interested in a bit of history about Sanibel? This has it. Looking for a reprieve from the heat on land? Feel the breeze in your hair as you zoom about in water. Love dolphins? You're likely to catch a pod or two swimming along with the boat. Excited most about the possibility of dolphins, my group and I opted to arrive to the dock approximately 1 hour ahead of time to ensure a seat towards the back of the boat. The very last row has the best views but also requires you get up and down out of your seats from time to time to balance out the boat to get up to speed. Though the back has the best views, you're also likely to get wet with spray and won't be able to hear the guide as easily. If you are more interested in the history and views of the island, sit towards the front and find out which way they'll circle the island. We were gifted with several pods of dolphins that stuck with the boat for great periods of time. I had plenty of time to capture some nice shots. We sped by the Hobie World Championships and caught views of some expensive homes on Captiva as we made our way around the island. The ride lasted approximately 2 hours. With its catamaran hull, the ride was smooth and enjoyable. Comfortable seating! Bring sunscreen, a hat you can secure tightly to your head, and some water.

Tour went down to Bonita Bay. We booked a 4 hour tour and got back in 3 1/2 because we asked to return along the coast instead of the inland waterways. Before we were off the boat he offered to cut the rate without being asked. We stopped in a little cove and took a walk to the ocean which was beautiful.
