This is our hometown dive shop. We've found them to be honest and fair. They sell gear and equipment, provide training (NAUI), service equipment and provide air fills. We were informed of upcoming sales prior to our equipment investments and they allowed us to try items before buying them to help us make decisions. They have an indoor pool and offered more than once for us to get in and check things out, which was very appreciated. There is a no cash return policy clearly stated at the register, which simply means that if something isn't right they will exchange the item or, if necessary, give store credit. We haven't needed to do either but are very comfortable with their policy. When considering training, decide if you would like to take the traditional group class or would like to pay a bit more for private training. My husband did his Open Water training here. Following that, we both took the Nitrox class with Charlie. We both agreed that Charlie explained information well, was thorough and kept the class moving forward at a good pace. read more

Scuba Quest - Indoor Pool - Diving Near Me - Cape Coral, Florida

We have been diving for 20 years but had never purchased dive gear. We have been diving more frequently the past 5 or so years and so we decided to finally buy BCS and regs. We were vacationing im FL and stopped in to ScubaQuest to see what they had in their shop. Brandon greeted us and was super helpful showing us the travel BCs they had and the pros and cons of each. We decided on the Oceanic Biolites due to their compact size and Brandon had both of the ones we wanted in stock. They were offering a couple of different package deals with BC, regulator, etc. Brandon went over each with us and explained the differences. We settled on the Aqualung due to the lifetime parts guarantee. The dive shop has a pool on site but it was being renovated. Brandon told us that typically customers can try out all gear in the pool before buying it. We didn't get to try out our new gear but Brandon assured us that if we had any issues, he'd help us out. Brought 3 regulators in for service at a cost of like $483. After completion and pickup. REG 1. Hose leaked they repaired after bringing it back. Manager alluded to my gauges old hoses. Same Reg discovered depth gauge didn't work while diving. REG 2. Battery didn't work for dive less than days after pick up. Batteries were all to have been replaced. REG 3. Functioned normally. Had 3 tanks in for inspection ($131including some air fills) My tanks were required to be sent out. It was agreed upon that tanks would be available for usage/rent in the event mine were not back. They were not back used Scuba Quest tanks. TANK 1. Returned 1ST tank (prior to trip) was without 0-ring.. Replaced for trip. TANK 2. Valve was stripped I needed to rent a tank in Islamorada. 3. Functioned normally. Upon returning rental tanks and picking up my inspected tanks I noticed the mesh was removed from one of my tanks. Employee stated that it was probably cut off and they're not good for your tank anyway. Mentioned bad battery and was challenged on whether I actually had paid to have it and I should go look at my bag of replaced parts. ALL batteries were to have been replaced. In the end he offered to bag and tag it. I left and will use a YouTube video and change my own battery. I do lack confidence in their repairs too many things missed that should have been detected. Have always enjoyed trips to dive shops and I'm hoping that my experience was an anomaly. In any case I hope they do something about improving the customer experience read more

I worked with Charlie Ball for a couple of months at Scuba Quest taking continuing education classes (Advanced Open Water through the Divemaster). He was organized and encouraging as an instructor and during each of our sessions played to my individual needs, strengths, weaknesses, etc. Most importantly, he always prioritized safety above all else and was in tune to how each student was feeling before, during, and after every dive. I had my 2 year old regulator serviced by scuba quest. I was told it would take a week and they would call when ready. No call so I checked, reg was ready. When I got home the dirt cover on first stage was not in place and reg freeflowed. I took reg back and it worked at store. They thought it was junk in reg that had caused problem but had passed out. I signed up for scuba lessons last week. I told the manager that I had asthma at the onset but, I hoped that I could get medical clearance. They sold me $563 worth of equipment and lessons. I was told that if I could not get clearance, I could get my money back. I could not get clearance in time for the class. A friend told me about the loss of a loved one in a scuba accident and my daughter advised me not to take scuba. The teacher said that asthma was a dangerous thing to have in scuba and their main concern was safety.He discouraged further pursuit of the sport to me.I went back to the store and the manager refused to take back the unused, brand new equipment. He said that I could only get a store credit. What good was that to me? They essentially stole $250 from me. I was shocked that they lied to me. Don't go there!!!!
