He was early to the drop off spot and super fast in returning to pick up the kayaks once we were done and had texted him. The price for two double kayaks appeared to be the best in town and with no drop off fees. The kayaks were in decent shape. Highly recommended!

We scheduled our rental online - very easy - and Bryan showed up right on time with kayaks. Handed us a map (and kept us from kayaking out with the tide!) and set us loose. We were too early for manatees, but the paddle through the mangroves was fun and very relaxing. The park we met at had an excellent kayak launch that made getting in/out SO EASY! I wish we had them in the great north! At the end of our 4 hours Bryan was right there ready to handle packing things up. It was so slick and well worth the rental price even if I didn't see any manatees. I'll be bringing my husband with next time!

Matlacha Boat Rides and Rentals not only does boat tours, dolphin watch tours, but they also rent kayaks, stand up paddle boards, sail boat rentals, and skiff rentals. They also do fishing trips for beginners to experienced anglers. Captain Karl was so knowledgable and even showed us private beaches that had no people on them! How cool is that? Matlacha Boat Rides and Rentals boats are super clean, and well maintained and have a great selection of boats to rent. They also let you request the type of tour and they will customize one for you. I received a call today 6/19/2026 from a ERO representative who advised that the shipping was higher than what was calculated at check-out (it more than doubled) and they couldn't ship my order unless I wanted to pay the additional shipping charges. I declined and she then tried to switch me to another product. I assume they are not aware that Under Florida law, once your payment is processed and an order confirmation is sent, a legally binding contract is formed. The company cannot unilaterally change the price of the shipping or hold my order hostage. If they fail to honor the original agreed-upon price, they are in breach of contract. This is exactly what they did here. My next step is reporting them to Florida regulators for their poor business practices. This mistake was not my doing! ERO should have done the right thing here.

He shared he was getting an advanced degree in marine science and thought us how all the wildlife is so very intertwined. The kayaks were fairly easy to use and as a first time kayaker it was great to get some photos that Cameron took. I did get tangled in the mangroves, but got untangled just as fast. We didn't see dolphins and didn't expect to see manatees as October, it'not the season. Was a good time and I would book again. Pro tip- definitely bring drinking water and yes, they are in the middle of the road and don't have an actual hut. Work out of the van and kayaks are ready to go when u get there.
