Brent knows the questions before I ask and was able to help with gear and booking a trip. After taking a hiatus from diving, I was nervous since a lot has changed, especially the gear. Mike's refresher course left me feeling confident as he is a very patient, humorous, and a genuinely nice guy. After completing 4 dives with Dean's Dive Center post refresher course, I am already planning the next trip. My son became scuba certified and I can't thank Chris enough for his support and time he took to make sure he was ready for this new adventure. Chris answered all of his questions and made the process a fun experience. I've completed my open water and nitrox certifications at Dean's Dive Center, and my kids have earned their junior open water certifications there. The two-weekend class option was best for us. The instructors are great and very patient, even when you forget what you later realize are very simple things. Don't sweat it! ;) The shop has a great variety of gear, and what's better is that you can get advice on the selection and use of that gear. My husband and I just completed our Open Water PADI Certification at Dean's. Going with Dean's was a very good choice! We had our choice of several shops, but over and over we heard that Dean's was the place to go and I am so glad we did. The people at Dean's make all the difference. Even with me being a little older than the other students, and not nearly as fit, Chris (our instructor) worked with me, encouraged me, and was key to my success. We have found him to be honest and fair, going above and beyond to help us get outfitted. He won't sell you unnecessary gear and you won't get the hard sell. He will help you find the best outfit for you. He puts your needs first! If you are thinking about diving, they even have a mini-class called Try Diving. For only $50 you can try out the gear in a pool and work on the first set of skills. If you decide to go on, the $50 will be applied to your Open Water class. Can't beat that! read more
