We visit Cape Coral every year from the west coast and love fishing. Told John we just want to catch some fish as the bite is exciting! John took us to a couple different places and we caught all kinds of fish!! I don't know much about how to fish so John set everything up for us and let us do the fun catching part!! Thank you for a wonderful day of fishing John, we will definitely contact you again next time we are in town! Saw some friendly dolphins too! (I was too nervous to hold the fish, so John did for me! Ha ha!)

Just came back from an awesome day of fishing! Caught several different types of fish. I even caught a shark. Captain John was great!

Be prepared that the trip will be 2.5 hours each way so there is total 4 hours of fishing. Chase and Ryan were really good boat mates. Many of the people on board didn't want to unhook their own fish so they were working hard being only 2 mates for the entire boat. The captain was nice enough to show a younger boy the wheelhouse. They allowed us to use the shark poles which is very unlikely on a party boat which was very much enjoyed.

The trip was cut short by a day and a half with absolutely no explanation. We paid for a three-day fishing charter, yet spent more time riding around the Gulf than actually fishing. There was no communication about why the trip ended early, which left everyone frustrated and feeling cheated. To make matters worse, two members of our group had thousands of dollars worth of fishing tackle stolen--nearly $5,000 in equipment. When we brought it to Captain Kenny's attention, his response was dismissive and unprofessional. Instead of trying to help or show any concern, he simply suggested that "maybe your friends stole it." That level of arrogance and lack of customer service was completely unacceptable. Between the shortened trip, the lack of fishing time, the poor communication, and the captain's attitude, this was one of the worst charter experiences I've ever had. I will never book with Sea Trek Charters again, and I strongly recommend that anyone considering this charter look elsewhere. There are plenty of captains who value their customers and provide the level of professionalism that was completely missing on this trip.

The cruise was from 9:30am to 4pm, with 2 hours traveling out and 2.5 hours traveling back for 2 hours of fishing. That's if we stayed in one spot. We hit multiple no-fish-found locations that had us cruising around some more. Nobody talked to us while we were fishing, nobody gave us any advice, nobody cared at all that everyone but two of us were skunked for the day. In fairness, if we talked to the mate, he was nice, but only if we talked to him. We'd be fishing, the engine would randomly start, and we'd take off. Presumably to the next spot. The last time we just headed in. Nobody said anything to the people fishing. Nobody said that they were sorry for no fish, thank you for coming out to fish with us today, or anything at all. Nothing. Zero. Zippo. They apparently didn't pack any give-a-darn on the boat that day. As a life-long fisherman and user of charter captains for decades, I've never had an experience like this. They Really. Did. Not. Care. Even more disappointing was arriving back at the docs at the end of the day and see other boats tossing huge carcasses to the pelicans. A bad fishing day is a bad fishing day, but it sure looked like there were fish to be caught, and at least our boat was never able to put us on them. They lost some repeat customers.

Although the rebuilding process continues there's not much left here after the devastating hurricanes, the public access fishing pier has been totally destroyed and the sea wall has been mostly destroyed, the sandy shell road is riddled with potholes and standing water and the businesses that were on the point are severely damaged, close and abandoned. There are signs that this place will recover, the sea wall sheet pilings are being installed from barges and land based cranes before the sand can be hauled in to fill the voids. It's apparent that the entire island has taken a beating with the collapsing buildings and uprooted trees scattered about but there's no doubt about the resiliency of the people that call this island home so the restoration will continue. There is still a small parking area that allows you to fish from the concrete sea wall that remains intact and enjoy the beautiful sunsets, hopefully the fishing pier construction will begin soon so the area can return even bigger and better than before. I hope to return here when everything is restored to give the 5 star review it deserves...

This makes me really sad!

Because of the causeway, the fishing here looks to be pretty darned awesome since the fish are just going right past and you can pull 'em right out. The big draw for me was the bat house. I wanted to learn more about the bats. The park has a great informational sign. I discovered: 1.
