I came in looking for incontinence products, and you had everything I needed. The staff was extremely helpful, but I want to personally recognize a young man named Christopher. He was so patient and truly listened to my needs. When he wasn't completely sure about a product, he didn't guess -- he went to get assistance from another gentleman to make sure I received the right information. That level of care meant a lot to me. Everyone there was kind and welcoming. I'm not sure if this is a Christian-based store, but the positive attitudes and uplifting atmosphere certainly felt like it. I even heard uplifting music playing, which added to the peaceful environment. To the management team -- please keep hiring staff like this. On February 10, 2026 I went with my father-in-law to Specialty Medical to purchase an electric…read morewheelchair. I was the one communicating with the owner, Doug, during the visit and he even texted me the receipt directly while I was standing there in the store. Within a day or two, around February 12th, we decided to cancel the order. From that point forward we spent weeks calling and trying to get a refund. On March 12th I texted Doug again regarding the refund. Screenshots of that conversation are included with this review. In those messages he discussed giving a partial refund and repeatedly asked that we remove the review. On Friday March 13th I personally went back to the store and picked up cash from Doug in the amount of $2,355. Even then the full amount was not refunded despite the order being cancelled almost immediately after the purchase. After I posted my original review about the experience, Doug began calling and texting me asking that I delete it. I have included screenshots of those communications so people can see exactly what was said. Doug also replied publicly to my previous review claiming that I was not a customer of the business. That is not accurate. I was present in the store during the purchase, communicated directly with Doug, received the receipt from him by text, and I was the one who returned to the store to collect the refund. I have also included screenshots of the original review that was removed. People rely on reviews when making important decisions, especially when purchasing medical equipment. Because of how this situation was handled and the communication afterward asking that the review be removed, I believe it is important to share my experience so others can make informed decisions. All of the statements in this review reflect my direct experience with this business and the communication I personally had with the owner. We found a shower chair for $105 bought it, got it home realized it didn't fit in our bathtub. I called to ask if I could return it since all we did was come home set in in that bathtub and it didn't work. All their tags and everything still on it. They said I could not return it so now I'm stuck with a shower chair that hasn't been used and can't be used. I'm sure if I left it at their doorstep they'd have bo problem reselling it. Ridiculous. Better off looking on offer up or even Amazon who will have no issues returning items.
