I learned so much about swirls, different techniques, and methods for creating beautiful handcrafted soaps. What keeps bringing me back isn't just the wonderful atmosphere, but the staff as well. Everyone is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely passionate about teaching their craft. I especially appreciate that they teach you the right way--no shortcuts, with safety always coming first. They provide everything you need, guide you through the entire process, and by the end of class you walk away with your very own full loaf of handmade soap, ready to be cut into individual bars once it's cured. Here I feel safe to be in contemplative thought and with a relatively quiet environment, it feels nice to not have to force conservation. The look is also really important to me as it is symbolic, I am a fan of quirky shaped crystals.

I got my favorite mug here and for a pretty fair price too! They make a huge variety of tea blends, available in tiny pouches so you can sample lots of different types without making a commitment to a huge bag. There is a shop cat who lives here named Pepper. She seems clean and friendly, and the teas are hung up on the wall and not placed on a table so you won't get litter paws all over your tea leaves. Maybe it's just something to be aware of if you have cat allergies or just dislike them.
