This was our first time at this Scrubbers. The groomer was so kind to our Bernidoodle, Fozzie, and did a great job of fixing the terrible grooming job I had tried to give him. She was the first groomer of the last three to leave his fur a little longer, and not take it down to stubble. I'm so grateful. I wish I remembered her name, so I could give her a shout out directly. The place was clean and well organized. Fozzie was happy, and not traumatized when he came out from the back. Whew. We wil go back, even though it's a bit of a drive for us. read more

We were recommended to Scrubbers by a fellow doodle parent. Doodles are a tricky breed (cut wise) and there are endless possibilities on how to groom them. So we wanted a place that had a good sense of how to cut a doodle. We have taken our girl to Scrubbers three times so far for full grooms and have had three different groomers - each one has groomed her slightly different ways. Not in bad ways and we are learning which groomer we like most for our girl. We go with a full groom which includes brushing teeth, cleaning ears, nail trim, and of course a bath/cut. I am sad that they do not give her a bandana or bows after her groom. They price based on the weight of the dog, so our girl (60 lbs+ of love) usually comes to around $70-$80. Since COVID-19, they have been charging a $5 fee to help their store get PPE for employees and what not. We have also taken our girl for a sanitary cut when she was a puppy and they did a great job. We have also taken our girl in for a bath and we gave her a bath ourselves. Much easier than doing it at our house! They provide everything you need - including an apron for you to not get messy. We have also taken our girl in to get her nails trimmed and the girl did a great job - the $10 nail trim is worth it! Since COVID-19 policies have changed, like any place. Can't bring your dog in or go inside, instead, you drop your dog off at the door and pay at the door. Pre-COVID-19 the staff were super nice and always loved seeing our girl. Staff have also given us advice on the type of brush to use on our girl and I will say this advice has helped us! Scrubbers also has posted videos on Facebook on how-tos with dog grooming. The place is clean and airy. We have never been disappointed with taking our girl here. read more

I just want to make it aware how amazing the employees are at Scrubbers! I am so thankful for them and every time I go there I have Zero complaints. Friday night I went in with my son and our fur child for a bath nails ect. Excellent service! After I left I unfortunately totaled my vehicle leaving the parking lot. Everyone was ok and im very thankful one of the co workers came and offered to watch my dog while I took care of all the business with the emergency vehicles and tow truck. Love Scrubbers! I've taken my brother's dog (my dog nephew?) here twice now for professional grooming (and accoutrements like teeth) and both times they did an excellent job. The first time, they did a great job, so we knew we'd be coming back. The second time, they actually fixed a really terrible jagged buzz cut the pup got from another groomer, which we didn't think was possible to fix yet. Wish I remembered exactly who took care of him but at this point, I think I'd have confidence in any of the staff here. They're also so patient when I was running late, as I'm coming from about a half hour away, which turns into forty-five minutes in construction traffic. And they always seem genuinely happy to see the dog, which just instills some confidence he's being treated nicely. This place is now a priority for them any time he and his dog are in Michigan and I feel good taking him there. Highly recommend! read more

How to bathe a 70 pound German Shepherd that doesn't want a bath? They make it so easy to show up and they help you figure out what to do when you're new. We managed our girl into the tub, in spite of her resistance and got the bathing done in less than half an hour. Wonderful to NOT wind up with a soggy bathroom floor and have to prep and manage getting our bathroom situated to do it at home. This is a great idea to service bathing your dog and the gal we had didn't make us feel bad for coming inside the last hour before closing. Our fur baby girl needs the medicated shampoo that has to be left on her to sit 15 minutes and again the large tub and ability to contain her really helps out. Megan W did a phenomenal job with our doodle puppy Ozzy and Emily L gave Olive, our senior Pomeranian, the best haircut she's ever gotten. They are never around when you are servicing your dog, the employees run the entire business while they collect. I believe the owner's name is Jerry? Jim? We love taking our dog to scrubbers! Love to make use of the self serve area and professional grooming with Sam. She's the best we've found to groom our fluffy corgi. We go every 2-3 months She does his booty area the best. Haha We've tried 3 other groomers in the area before and love Sam's work the best. This is by far the worst grooming place I have ever dealt with long story short I had an appointment for my Pomeranian but my dog rabies shot was expired so he couldn't get groomed after several attempts calling them with no answer ended up getting charged 60 dollars for no show fee really I called them back again to claim a refund and they basically told me that I'm fucked there's nothing we can't do once the system charges your card it's out of our hands I know that's bs so I had to contact my bank to get the issue solved do not take your dog to scrubbers self serve dog wash the worst customer service ever stealing it's punishable by law and what did you guys did to me it's called stealing you guys sucks I hope them $60 dollar was worth loosing a great customer if I could give you a 0 star I would thieves ! Scrubbers of Rochester is wonderful!! The self-service option is a much better way to wash our 50 pound pup than our own tub! Plus, our pup gets to say hi to other pups while bathing. He loves it. Such an awesome place to take your pet! The staff is super nice, informative, and understanding. The facilities and grooming areas are incredibly clean. I took my first dog, Summer Shandy, a female Golden Retriever who is at the time of her grooming 8 months old, into have her first professional grooming (this included wash, blow dry, trim, and nail clipping). And I can say the results were fantastic. She did not come out overly shaved like most groomers do, she was nicely trimmed and washed, and her blow dry included a very cute bandana! And when clipping her nails I had requested if it was possible I could see out it is done, as she is my first dog, and I wanted to be able to do it correctly without harming her. Not only was I educated but I was physically shown on my own dog HOW to clip and how to hold her paws to make her comfortable. I was very appreciative of this!! I had done MONTHS of research and review reading to find the perfect groomer for when my pup was ready enough to go. I had chosen Scrubbers by the countless great reviews and the great pricing/package deals Scrubbers included. I was also impressed that they catered to "self-washing" and had stations to accommodate. When I picked up my pup they let me know about his skin and flakes which I had already knew about his allergies/ skin issues. But I appreciated that they still let me know and actually recommend me a shampoo that can help his skin.
