I went here recently because I found out an aesthetician that was recently at a spa near me moved to this location. I was thrilled to find Katherine again. She's located in the trendy Wicker Park neighborhood. There was plenty of street parking. The inside of the building is set up like a mini mall of skin care, hair care and other self care services. I signed up for a much needed facial with Katherine. She is very calm, patient and just what you need for someone who is working with your skin. I really enjoyed the facial. My skin is usually red but after the facial I have been moisturizing religiously. The redness is gone. I love it. Pores are not visible. I can't wait to go back. Katherine is great! I looked for a place to get facials for a while before going to her. I was pregnant at the time and was looking for someone who uses natural cosmetics, and someone I could trust. She has always been very mindful of my needs and I appreciate that a lot! I've only had three treatments with her so far and my skin has never looked better. Scrub Me Skin Care has been an incredible experience thus far. I found Scrub Me via Classpass for a facial. The location is perfect (Chicago & Halsted) and there's always street parking available. The space is so beautiful, cozy, and extremely clean. In addition, I've had no issues scheduling treatments for desired days and times. It's very easy to schedule appointments online. Katherine is a skincare gem. She's so honest and transparent about my skincare needs. She's very genuine and only recommends what I need. I've never been pushed products or treatments like other skincare salons I've visited. Also, she takes the time to answer any skincare questions I have (even if she doesn't do the treatment). Long overdue review! I've gotten facials before and I always felt like I ended up breaking out so I kinda gave up on them. Fast forward a few years and I was still getting hormonal acne as I approached 30. I've been going to Katherine for well over a year or maybe longer. I'm very picky about who touches my skin because I always have issues (breakouts, sun damage/ melasma etc) lol. So when I finally found her she made me feel comfortable and seemed to be knowledgeable. Now I know she is! I make an appointment and I let her do what my skin needs. Treatments received: microdermabrasions, chem peels,high frequency, spray tan (and not the machine where you come out splattered with an orangey look) but the one she actually does herself! By the way I got one yesterday and everyone was like AMAZED by my "vacation tan"! Recommendations for products (includes the why and for what questions I always have) . She always answers with as much information as possible and never tries to oversell you with treatments or products you don't need.
