Tim (owner) was excellent to deal with during the bidding process. Prior to locking a contract with Tim, we received quotes from four other companies, and Timberline provided the most complete overview of the job, expectations, and timelines. The attention to detail during this initial phase of the process left us with peace of mind and also allowed us to consider additional design details we were not immediately aware of. Once construction started, Timberline was extremely punctual and kept a very clean job site. Timberline's carpenters, painters, masons, and electrician are outstanding. We desired a very "clean" look to our outdoor living space, and Timberline guaranteed they would hide all wiring and even corrected some legacy aesthetic issues we had with the original wiring and siding. We are thrilled with how the new patio looks. The gabled roof with tongue and groove cedar ceiling is exactly the design my wife envisioned. She is very pleased with the craftsmanship. Timberline also worked with us to install a stone bar with limestone counter. The bar was measured to specification, in order to fit an outdoor refrigerator and incoming outdoor kitchen alongside it. Timberline matched the stone (Chocolate Oklahoma) with our pool to tie the backyard together and make both projects look as if they were planned out from day one. In addition, we also had Timberline's electrician install 6 recessed Philips Hue lights, a Philips Hue wall sconce, a 55" LG TV, two ceiling fans and place electric outlets for Sonos One speakers. The lights, TV and Sonos speakers are Amazon Alexa voice enabled, which allows us to create a lovely voice controlled outdoor space. At present we are only waiting on installation of our outdoor kitchen and Kool Cote, neither of which are the responsibility of Timberline, to consider the Patio complete. The HOA hired Jeremy and his crew to trim broken branches, clear driveways and common areas, and clean up and haul away all the debris. They did that in approximately a week-and-a-half. Our community looked so good, while neighborhoods around us have only just now -- 6 weeks later -- been cleaned up by the City. And those neighbors had to do their own tree trimming and hauling of debris. Our HOA and community couldn't be happier! So if their roofing expertise is even half as good as the work they did with tree trimming and such, you shouldn't be disappointed.

Matt came by and spent a great deal of time with me and the misses in our kitchen. Not only was he extremely helpful in suggestions, colours and patterns for tile, he was also very well educated with current trends and price structures. What turned out to be a simple painting, ended up with complete restoration of our existing cabinets, custom installed slow close drawers and deep custom organizers for our 25 yr+ lower cabinets. New tile back splash, sink/faucet and new counter tops. It wasn't what I originally had planned, but I am so glad we had this all done. The kitchen looks amazing. The Job took much longer than anticipated, but that was totally on us. We decided at the last minute to add the counter tops, which needed to be done first. This meant a re-scheduling of everything else. But once the project started, I believe is was about 7 working days knocking it all out. All his team were courteous, on time, careful and cleaned up after themselves each time they were in. They also fixed a caulking issue in our new remodeled master bathroom and installed a new ceiling light fixture in our laundry room. Matt was there almost everyday to check in and make sure things were being completed in a manner to his expectations. And ours. After fixing my water leak in August, I was eager for them to start on my 40-year-old kitchen which desperately needed help. I had put it off, worried about finding a trustworthy contractor who would do quality work and provide guidance in making selections, but now I knew I had that in 787! Matthew, patient and unflappable, took me in hand. He suggested quartz countertops which are durable and low maintenance, and accompanied me to ProSource, where he brought out countertop and backsplash samples I might like, and introduced me to Jonathan, a fantastic rep with a great eye for design. I returned twice more and made countertop, backsplash, grout, sink & faucet choices under Jonathan's excellent guidance & suggestions. Measuring was done, a template made, crews scheduled and work began. First, Jax showed up with his big smile and easy-going attitude to do the demolition, removal of stovetop, sink etc. Next, Carlos and Fabian arrived and diligently and expertly installed the countertop. The next two days Alfredo, assiduously worked at seating the backsplash and pencil tiles, applying the grout, and carefully caulking all around the edges. I then asked Matthew what I could do about my stovetop's horribly rusted downdraft, and if he could install the new, better matching switches and switch plate covers I'd bought. When Jax returned to install the sink, and re-connect the stove top, he showed up, heat resistant paint in hand, and affably re-cleaned and painted the downdraft himself, installed the new switches and plates, and 787 never charged me for this extra work. The last crew, painters Rogelio, Carlos and Bonifacio, came to repair the wall under the bar which had been covered with Formica. I had asked Matthew to also quote me a price for them to stain my 2nd story balcony at a future date, an impossible task for me. Well, before I knew it, not only did they do a wonderful job painting & texturing the wall, matching the texture on my other walls beautifully, but they stained my balcony and the whole under-structure as well! I was amazed, never dreaming that 787 would fit this job into their busy December schedule, and gratefully relieved that this unsurmountable task, to me, had been dealt with in such a routine manner. When you make a big purchase like this you want to know that you're taken care of and that they care about you and your property. I personally got more than seven quotes. I paid attention to how they came out to quote me. On each one I watched where they placed the ladder to get on my roof, if they were on time, if they communicated with me, even how they followed up with me and a lot more. I felt that how they took care of me when they came to do an estimate meant a lot. I also checked to make sure that the company had a permanent office or warehouse. I checked Yelp, Angie's List, and BBB reviews. I wanted a company that had permanent employees not ones that they picked up that morning. I was highly disappointed with a lot of the other companies. Some failed all my tests miserably. Sanders Roofing however shined through like a diamond in the rough. They were very respectful of my property and they were very knowledgeable. Eric was awesome...he went over everything with us in great detail so we knew what to expect. Eric was on site every day to make sure that the work was getting done properly. Alonzo who was in charge of installing my new metal roof was wonderful. He and his crew did everything they could to make it easy for me. They were also very respectful of all my property and time. I could tell the crew had worked together for some time. They all knew their jobs and got started and stayed busy the whole time. They all seamlessly knew what to do from start to finish. Donald showed up at my house the same day and inspected the roof. He told me to contact my insurance company and let him know the date and time the adjuster would come out. So when I called him to confirm he would be available, he informed me that he's no longer working in Austin. Hmmnnn....he didn't know that 3 days earlier! Really??? Now I have to find another roof contractor and call my insurance back and look like the crazy one! Shady...just shady.

In all sincerity, I hate leaving bad reviews for companies. My preference is to fix issues ahead of…read moretime. In this case, I've tried but haven't been able to get anywhere. Based on a realtor's referral, I chose to use Allies to renovate my upstairs bathroom. This was the second contractor I attempted to use for the renovation, as the first company turned out to be a bit of a scam (I have supporting emails and reviews from their "victims"). The first contractor completely demoed the bathroom, and I already had all the materials (tile, mirror, paint, etc.) that were needed to complete the renovation. Allies said they'd take over the job and get it all done within a few weeks, which was a relief after my experience so far. My contractor was Chris. He had great reviews for roofing work, which makes sense considering that not much communication is needed between the contractor and client. I didn't learn until much later that this was Chris's first indoor renovation and client-facing job. Chris told me his least favorite thing about a job is "talking to clients." He also told me that sometimes clients have to beta-test the subcontractors they use. So, this kind of sets the scene for my experience. When remodeling a bathroom, a lot of communication is needed, especially when Allies subcontracts most of the work. My wife and I were generally happy with how the work was going in the beginning, but then Chris started acting strange and pushing back or trying to charge us for minor changes or unexpected work that came up as the job progressed. Things continued to become strained between Chris, my wife, and me to the point that we got into more than one argument or tense exchange about what was covered in the contract versus what work would be an extra charge. When the tile work for the shower started, the subcontractor added a metal trim that we hadn't asked for. Chris said the trim was standard for tile jobs, but it was not covered in the contract, so we'd have to pay extra for it. When we pushed back, he wrote a list of all the "extra" work that he hadn't charged us for, and made my wife negotiate with him on who would cover what. Toward the end of the project, we gave Chris a list of items that needed to be done to complete the renovation, essentially a "punch list" of small fixes that is normal to provide to a contractor before they finalize the job. Chris started arguing with us about reinstalling a towel holder that had been removed at the beginning of the job. He also yelled at us about all the work we were trying to have him do that wasn't covered by the contract. I was so upset that I left in the middle of the argument, so things didn't escalate between us. My poor wife stayed with him and was able to "calm him down." Although he attempted to apologize to me, I was so fed up with his behavior by then that I told him in not-so-nice terms that I was done speaking to him and that my wife would be his point of contact to finish the job. Chris's partner, Steven, ended up calling me about the situation. During the job, Steven had made it seem like their company was on the client's side and would do the right thing. During the phone call, he informed me that Chris was upset because he had underbid our bathroom renovation and had since been trying to make up for it in additional charges for work that wasn't explicitly in the contract. Keep in mind, we were paying a very large sum of money for the renovation, but Stephen told me that he would have charged much more and that, because the work they do is high quality, they generally charge more than other companies. Steven ended the call by telling me to "never speak to his employee like that again." This is after his employee, Chris, had yelled and been antagonistic to my wife and me that day and throughout the job. We had very minimal contact with Chris after the argument because of how upset we were at that point. Chris seemed happy to be finished with the job and didn't attempt to do much of a walk-through to review any issues with the work. Instead of cutting the tile properly, they tried to mask it by putting a ton of caulk, but you can see jagged edges where the caulk doesn't completely cover it. They also left nails sticking out of the side of my house due to an in-wall medicine cabinet they installed (my siding is also falling off). Their carpentry is also garbage. They installed a "slow-close drawer" in my vanity that requires a hard push and then a shove to close it. The pocket door they installed doesn't close all the way and slowly slides open on its own. I contacted Stephen several months later to try to resolve these issues. He admitted to me that they fired the guy who did my tile, but fixing it is not covered under a "workmanship warranty," which, per our contract, Allies offers for one year after the job is complete. If you Google "workmanship warranty," it is supposed to cover poor workmanship, like my tile. Stephen refuses to fix it

Their rep was Luke and when he got upon our roof to look at the patio cover he and his boss noticed that our homes roof had hail damage. They took pictures of the damage and I was able to to contact my insurance to do a claim to repair the damage. StateFarm sent out an Adjuster to evaluate the damage, Luke and a couple of Allies workers were there when the Adjuster was doing his evaluations. After a few days I received a confirmation from State Farm that the roof was approved for all the repairs. A week later I received a payment for Allies to order materials to start the work. Due to rain and weather the start was delayed until it was clear to do the roof. They showed up with a crew to remove the old shingles, repaired some holes they were ready to install the new shingles. They also got approval to replace the patio cover roof panels also. Allies were fast, efficient and did great work. The roof and patio cover completed. Last night we had a Rain Storm with high winds. When we came out to survey any damage we noticed our patio was dry. Very happy with their work. Would recommend them highly as their whole team from their office to work crew. Allies did excellent work including great communication throughout the whole project.
