Matt reached out to me within an hour of me submitting an inquiry online, and it was all downhill from there. He explains every step of the process thoroughly and his passion for jewelry, especially diamonds, was felt immediately. He walks you through each step of the design experience, and doesn't just focus on the final result. He builds a personal relationship with his customers along the way. I think this gives his customers a leg up because they learn everything about the jewelry they're buying, and are more well-informed in their decisions. He made buying an engagement ring a great experience for me, and my wife was so happy with it that we had him design and build our wedding bands as well. Beautiful work and an amazing buying experience - we recommend Cardamone for any and all custom diamond jewelry you may be looking for! -Erik D.

Not only would we highly recommend this to family and friends, but we will for sure be repeat customers. You set an appointment to meet with Mathew, who after talking to him you can clearly tell he is knowledgable and loves what he does. Then unlike big brand stores he is totally willing to work with your specific needs. I gave him quite the challenge with a special request on my wedding band and he spent time with me creating exactly what we discussed. He took measurements of my engagement ring so he was able to create my band all without taking my engagement ring away from me for weeks. The quality was amazing too. Another important piece for me is his customer service level is absolutely outstanding. He's accommodating to your schedule and meeting locations. As well responds promptly to email, call and text. Then like that wasn't enough, his prices are untouchable!!!!! Definitely recommend this!

Five or so calls later and I got to talking with Scott at Naked Guitar Repair. He came off as a good dude who was really comfortable with guitars and confident in his work, so even though I had found a cheaper option, I drove over to Madbury to meet Scott. His shop is located in the same lot as a landscaping business and is entered through the side door under the green awning along the right-hand side of the building. The space is refreshingly unfinished, with tools lining the perimeter workbench spaces and guitars in various states of build hanging along the walls. The real look of the place was the first of a few indications that I had chosen the right repair shop for my old Yamaha. Scott looked up from his work and received me warmly into his workshop. He deftly inspected the guitar, played a Spanish riff to check its original condition, and concluded that it was in great shape, definitely worth cleaning up. Throughout the "interview" he was really friendly and shared a great deal of information about his history with guitars; during this conversation I also came to learn that Scott builds electric guitars from scratch under the name Stonewall Instruments in this same space (another indication that my Yamaha was in good hands). He was even willing to work with me on the price of the work. I picked up the guitar a few days later, and, needless to say, it sparkled and sang. I'll try to include a photo of it with this post, but you should just take my word for it -- the guitar glows like it was touched by a experienced perfectionist and is matched by the sweetest tone, new strings tight and sharp. Can't be more happy with the "upgrade" Scott was able to bring out of her. Not only do I recommend Naked Guitar Repair to anyone looking for a honest conversation about a guitar in need, but I'm personally committed to returning to the business when Scott has his annual Stonewall Instruments open house. Hope this helps. Be well!

I had my childhood piano shipped from my mother's home when she passed away. This piano has been…read morethrough at least 15 moves and hasn't been tuned up to A440 in likely close to 20 years. Plus, some of the keys were sticking from the movers storing it on its side in the move (BAD for pianos) and the foot pedals were wonky. Really, it would have been much cheaper and easier if I had just bought a new piano, but this one has ivory keys and is the one I grew up with, so I wanted it to work. Eric understood my reasoning for wanting to salvage the piano. He was very knowledgeable and gave me options and the prices for each. He didn't suggest that I replace the action - not because it couldn't be replaced, but because he didn't think that the increase in the sound would be worth the price. When I said I wanted it brought up to A440 instead of tuned to itself, he warned me that this would mean several tunings to keep it in tune as the strings stretched and that we might break a strong or two along the way (thankfully we didn't). He was professional, courteous, and very capable. The piano has been through two tunings now and is ready for its third. There has been much less slippage than I had thought there would be and it has held its tune better than either of us expected. I am very pleased with the service I've received from Eric. I'll be using him in the future and referring him everyone who will listen!
