If you need repairs then pls run away fast. They replaced pool pump couplings and the pressure suddenly went to zero. Pool pump struggled but it kept going until about 2 weeks after repair. It stopped priming one day. They tried to troubleshoot but all I heard back was you need a new pump. Well as it turns out they broke the housing. Impeller warped because pump cld not prime due to broken housing . Ended up spending over $500 on parts and labor to get pool working again. You have been warned.

The new tech was sloppy, often leaving large amounts of diatomaceous earth spilled around the pool equipment. I had to shop-vac it regularly to keep it out of the drains. On many occasions, he cleaned out the pool filter and just dumped the wet leaves on our lawn instead of disposing of them, as if someone else was supposed to clean them up for him. I also saw him kick our gates open rather than set down his equipment and use his hands. When I politely asked him not to, he denied doing it, even though I had just watched him. Despite our pool being rarely used, it never stayed clean between visits. We raised these issues with Fernando several times; some things improved, but others didn't. In March 2026, Fernando told us he no longer had a tech for our pool and gave us barely a week's notice. I was annoyed at first, but in hindsight he did us a favor. We should have switched years ago, and with our new company, the pool has never looked cleaner.

Turns out our current Pool Guy was treating our pool as chlorine and it had a saltwater system (something I regularly questioned our normal Pool Guy but was routinely dismissed) Eddie and his guys came by a couple of times and completely reset our system. Saving us from having to buy a brand new pool heaters, which we had just bought two years ago. Our pool is now functioning perfectly and looks amazing, and is actually saltwater again. We got quotes from several pool remodeling companies and Smart Swim came in right in the middle. We are strong believers on "you get what you pay for," and opted to go with them even though they were not the cheapest. From beginning to end, the guys at Smart Swim were easy to work with and truly wanted our project to come out great. After 30 years, it was time for our pool to have a remodel! Through the remodel, it was uncovered that we had many severe leaks, down to the rebar that needed to be fixed in some areas. Sam was great at making sure we understood the severity and that we were okay with any new costs that needed to be added. Not only did they do our pool, but also installed turf by the pool area and put pavers all around the pool and yard area. We also got the new gray gate installed from them as well, to replace the wooden fence in the yard (between the pool). **Noting that the perimeter wall/wooden top was painted black and sanded/stained by a different company. We truly appreciate their hard work and even when we had an immediate death in the family during their time working on our project, they were very respectful and gave us some space as needed. Both our front and backyard were atrocious. After having dinner in West Adams, we noticed a landscaping office next door. We wanted to work with a local business that also worked with local nurseries and decided to get a quote with Green Grounds. They put me in touch with Guillermo, who I think is the boss. He came by and gave us a reasonable quote for the front yard and fencing around the back. I'd say it's definitely not the cheapest quote but i found it reasonable for the amount of work we were going to do. We weren't ready yet for the backyard but wanted to at least get the front done. We ended up getting a quote for: - dry scape front yard - fencing removal and replacement - plants - gravel - lighting - watering drip system - iron reinforced pavers for driveway It was a lot of work and on the hottest day of the year, their crew showed up with about 8 people to get work done quickly. We were shocked at just how quick things were! In addition, Guillermo did a great job communicating with us, suggesting certain plants and designs, etc. We met him at a local nursery to walk through and pick out plants. He is a walking plant encyclopedia. Show him a plant, he knows exactly what it is! He brought us samples of gravel and were able to choose right away what we wanted for our yard. In a short 5 days, our front yard was brand new and our jenky fence was a secure wooden fence with swinging gate to the backyard access. Not only was the quality of work excellent, but the short amount of time it took them was extremely impressive. We really wanted them to return to do our backyard. Again, we got a quote - this time it was going to be more extensive - leveling the backyard - french drain to divert water away from structures - demo and removal of existing weeds and uglies - plants, trees, privacy hedges, gravel - artificial turf - pavers (with artificial turf in between pavers) - Watering drip system - lighting - decking update to accommodate for land removal - fencing update to accommodate for land removal - laying down brick in a small area This was definitely a lot of work. I initially wanted to see if we could get LA County to give us some rebate money but we did not qualify. this delayed us signing up and submitting our deposit for about a month. However, after finally committing to the project and submitting our $1K deposit, unfortunately by that time Green Grounds had a bunch of other projects. They weren't able to get to ours until 2 months later. it was a long wait but ultimately, it was absolutely worth it! Again, the crew came out - this time on the coldest day! 8-10 people for demo, excavation, pavers, plants, etc. It was a massive project and they completed it in 6 days! I am so happy with the result. I am also extremely impressed with Green Grounds - their work quality, ethic, and professionalism. At the end of it, they even cleaned up my front yard and made it look brand new again! Highly recommend this company for anyone looking for a some professional landscaping.

I'm beyond frustrated with Green Grounds. We paid over $30,000 for our landscaping project, mainly…read moreto fix grading and drainage issues. Instead, we're left with a long list of problems and a company that refuses to take responsibility. Here's what we got for $30,000: 1. Backyard slopes toward the house! We hired them to fix drainage, but now rainwater could run straight toward our living room and sliding doors. How does a landscaping company get something this basic wrong? 2. Sprinklers spray directly onto our house. They installed sprinkler heads right next to the stucco walls and sliding doors. Every time they run, our house gets soaked! 3. Poorly installed sump pump area. They left a deep depression right in our walkway--a tripping hazard. Soil can wash into the basin, and the pump system appears to have drainage issues. 4. Drain covers cemented shut! Seriously? How are we supposed to clean or maintain the drains? 5. Stucco clearance ignored. Landscaping materials were left piled too high against parts of our exterior walls, creating potential moisture problems. 6. Front steps and landing already sinking! Brand-new work, and it's already showing signs of settlement. And the worst part? Their response. After multiple emails and photos documenting these problems, Guillermo and Alexis disputed responsibility for the grading and claimed it was done according to my instructions. I NEVER told anyone to slope the lawn toward my house! We hired professionals to FIX our drainage problems, not leave us worrying about flooding every time it rains. I've now filed a formal complaint with the California Contractors State License Board (CSLB). Over $30,000 spent, and this is what we're dealing with. Absolutely unacceptable. I would NEVER recommend Green Grounds. I'll let the photos speak for themselves.

Samantha is very helpful, and even more importantly, knowledgable. I feel like had I dealt with her in my previous transaction, I would not have had the problems that I did. A company is more than just its pretty products. Customer service, knowledge and expertise with the products weigh in as importantly in my opinion. I think with Samantha you will get the best of both worlds though I wouldn't vouch for anyone else there! I give 4 stars as I just cannot forgive the past experience I had. BUYER BEWARE. I'm an interior designer in Arizona, and we…read morepurchased 10 slabs of Silver Roots Dolomite from Rock Mill. Unfortunately, this turned into a very costly and frustrating experience. From the beginning, the slabs showed issues with the polished finish, including visible etching and surface damage. The client loved the slabs so much we decided to polish out etching on the slabs. But during fabrication, my highly experienced stone fabricator discovered that all of the slabs were structurally compromised -- something that could not have been identified through a standard visual inspection upon delivery. According to my fabricator, the failure is caused either to improper storage conditions or defects during the milling process, specifically involving the epoxy and mesh backing adhesion. During fabrication the mesh and epoxy coating on the back of every slab peeled away, causing the slabs to literally fall apart during fabrication. Silver Roots Dolomite naturally contains dramatic veining, which makes proper reinforcement absolutely critical. When the epoxy and mesh fail, the stone loses its structural integrity entirely. I contacted my sales representative, Mark at Rock Mill, and was told that because we were outside of their 7-10 day inspection window, they would not assist us further. Again, these were internal structural failures that could not have been detected through a routine visual inspection. I reached out again afterward and received no response. In my opinion, these slabs should never have been sold without disclosure regarding their condition, brittleness, or possible age-related deterioration. Based on this experience, I DO NOT recommend Rock Mill. If this is how they handle legitimate concerns from someone within the design and trade industry, I would be very concerned about how the average consumer would be treated.
