If you need repairs then pls run away fast. They replaced pool pump couplings and the pressure suddenly went to zero. Pool pump struggled but it kept going until about 2 weeks after repair. It stopped priming one day. They tried to troubleshoot but all I heard back was you need a new pump. Well as it turns out they broke the housing. Impeller warped because pump cld not prime due to broken housing . Ended up spending over $500 on parts and labor to get pool working again. You have been warned.

We got quotes from several pool remodeling companies and Smart Swim came in right in the middle. We are strong believers on "you get what you pay for," and opted to go with them even though they were not the cheapest. From beginning to end, the guys at Smart Swim were easy to work with and truly wanted our project to come out great. After 30 years, it was time for our pool to have a remodel! Through the remodel, it was uncovered that we had many severe leaks, down to the rebar that needed to be fixed in some areas. Sam was great at making sure we understood the severity and that we were okay with any new costs that needed to be added. Not only did they do our pool, but also installed turf by the pool area and put pavers all around the pool and yard area. We also got the new gray gate installed from them as well, to replace the wooden fence in the yard (between the pool). **Noting that the perimeter wall/wooden top was painted black and sanded/stained by a different company. We truly appreciate their hard work and even when we had an immediate death in the family during their time working on our project, they were very respectful and gave us some space as needed. Perhaps the best part was working with the owner, Robin, who is a very knowledgeable and kind woman. She was very patient with us, even with our seven year old daughter running around and jumping in and out of the tubs. We ended up getting a great deal on the spa and Robin even threw in some extras when the spa was installed, which was so kind. They have an awesome installation team lead by Greg, who is also really easy to work with and knowledgeable. We had a problem with the initial install, when they pulled out our old tub. The wood deck below was rotten and the new tub could not be installed where we planned. Greg stayed cool and helped us figure out a solution that required pouring a new slab for the tub. They came back right away after the slab was done and set up the tub. Overall I think this is a great place to purchase a spa, especially if you are on the West side. We got a great deal on a top of the line spa, with 1st class service from this business.

Both our front and backyard were atrocious. After having dinner in West Adams, we noticed a landscaping office next door. We wanted to work with a local business that also worked with local nurseries and decided to get a quote with Green Grounds. They put me in touch with Guillermo, who I think is the boss. He came by and gave us a reasonable quote for the front yard and fencing around the back. I'd say it's definitely not the cheapest quote but i found it reasonable for the amount of work we were going to do. We weren't ready yet for the backyard but wanted to at least get the front done. We ended up getting a quote for: - dry scape front yard - fencing removal and replacement - plants - gravel - lighting - watering drip system - iron reinforced pavers for driveway It was a lot of work and on the hottest day of the year, their crew showed up with about 8 people to get work done quickly. We were shocked at just how quick things were! In addition, Guillermo did a great job communicating with us, suggesting certain plants and designs, etc. We met him at a local nursery to walk through and pick out plants. He is a walking plant encyclopedia. Show him a plant, he knows exactly what it is! He brought us samples of gravel and were able to choose right away what we wanted for our yard. In a short 5 days, our front yard was brand new and our jenky fence was a secure wooden fence with swinging gate to the backyard access. Not only was the quality of work excellent, but the short amount of time it took them was extremely impressive. We really wanted them to return to do our backyard. Again, we got a quote - this time it was going to be more extensive - leveling the backyard - french drain to divert water away from structures - demo and removal of existing weeds and uglies - plants, trees, privacy hedges, gravel - artificial turf - pavers (with artificial turf in between pavers) - Watering drip system - lighting - decking update to accommodate for land removal - fencing update to accommodate for land removal - laying down brick in a small area This was definitely a lot of work. I initially wanted to see if we could get LA County to give us some rebate money but we did not qualify. this delayed us signing up and submitting our deposit for about a month. However, after finally committing to the project and submitting our $1K deposit, unfortunately by that time Green Grounds had a bunch of other projects. They weren't able to get to ours until 2 months later. it was a long wait but ultimately, it was absolutely worth it! Again, the crew came out - this time on the coldest day! 8-10 people for demo, excavation, pavers, plants, etc. It was a massive project and they completed it in 6 days! I am so happy with the result. I am also extremely impressed with Green Grounds - their work quality, ethic, and professionalism. At the end of it, they even cleaned up my front yard and made it look brand new again! Highly recommend this company for anyone looking for a some professional landscaping.
