I've hired so many different tradespeople this last 6 weeks that it can seem a blur at times. But then I found Scott's to do a major trim job at my new place in Port Ludlow, as well as remove 3 large trees. Bingo! These people are the real deal. Total professionals and lovely human beings to boot. Scott and Hannah came over after a very long day for them to give me my bid and just could not have been nicer or more experiences and professional. Their crew came over yesterday and did the work and even strangers who walk by comment about how good everything looks. And I was especially grateful that they were able to come by and remove all the wood from the trees after I told them I wouldn't be able to use it. Scott is an awesome tree climber and faller. His crew came out to my home took down four large cedars. They were very careful didn't drop anything on my septic system and took great care of my fence. They were professional and worked very hard. The cut the rounds for me and cleaned up everything really nice! I highly recommend Scott and his team! So, funny enough I get contacted by Scott Trees. Apparently one of their customers called them about my review. Scott wrote to me, "Hi Lyssa, I was told of your review by a long time client. You do not appear to be in my records as a client. I would never authorize my crew or recommend what was done to your trees. Was this work done in Kitsap County? Do you remember who you talked to? There are many different Scott's around. I am Scott's Tree Service, Inc in Poulsbo WA. I am sorry for your bad experience, Please call me at the office number at 360-697-3972" Now this was concerning because I would hate to leave a bad review for the wrong place. In fact, I hardly ever leave bad reviews. I called my husband, whose name was on the invoice, and asked him, and he shot me over the receipt. Email makes it easy to find things like that. It was this Scott Trees, I am absolutely certain, because their name and phone number and logo are all on the invoice. I am not here to tell anyone who to use, I am only here to say, I will never recommend or use this company, ever. read more

-Repeat customer - will never use again. Do not recommend. Highly unprofessional customer service by purveyor's spouse who handles customer communication. - Did not return call left on company voice mail for two+ weeks. - After receiving verbal estimate, had to call multiple times to get written estimate. - After accepting estimate to get scheduled, received window for when work would be done. Called a week after estimated work start date multiple times to understand / find out start date (Making major changes to my yard requires my availability to be present while they are on the property). - Received start date/time for work, and changed around my work schedule to accommodate. Tree service never showed up. Did not call w/ any reason and did not return my phone calls. - I decided to pause the work until late in the year and requested a refund for my deposit due. - Received a phone call where I was yelled at and told I was a terrible customer, threatened use of legal counsel, stated refunds for deposits were non-refundable (keep in mind they never showed up, or called to reschedule), and I would have an undisclosed amount of fees taken out of my deposit. - Will not ever use again. read more

Very pleased with the service. Reasonably priced and meticulous work. Scott, the owner, is very pleasant and knowledgeable and has a lot of good advice regarding tree maintenance. I was impressed with how well they took down the rest of a very large tree on our property. They cleaned up before they left each day and they were very efficient. They said they would be back in two weeks to grind the stump, which they were, and again left everything super tidy. Highly recommend!! read more

I had 3 trees fall, one of which was blocking a road. Within an hour, Scott and team were at our house tackling the downed trees. They had to get their boom truck in order to get the trees all the way down without doing further damage to our neighbor's fence. They were prompt, knowledgeable and professional. We have used Scott's tree service twice. The first time was to remove two trees. The owner came out and quoted the work. The cost was quite reasonable. I called to schedule the work. They came, cut down the trees and left. If not for the missing trees I would never know they had been there as there was no mess at all. The second time we just needed some trees trimmed up, especially one birch that was close to the house. Again, the crew did a great job and left no mess at all. Scott's Tree Service last month took down a maple tree and 3 alders. He also pruned our coral bark maple. He removed the trees and chipped the branches for us. The work they did was on time and very efficient, done according to our agreement. He bucked up the wood and left the chips as agreed. He has a polite, skillful crew. read more

Finally, a company that does what they say they're going to do. My father had a dying walnut tree and various other trees that needed pruning badly. All trees are now thriving. Pros: They were in and out, and left the property free of debree Scott is very knowledgeable and the crew doesn't mess around. High quality. I hugely recommend Scott's Tree Service. They are cheaper than most anyone (they were less than 50% the cost of someone else who wanted to work on some trees here). They are very capable of doing challenging jobs, such as trees close to houses or rotten alders. They are smart in assessing the work that really does need to be done -- they won't lead you on to try to get more money out of you -- and they let you know what you can do to help keep remaining trees healthy. read more

On 5/4/17 lightening had struck one of my trees in my front yard. The tree is about 130 feet tall and had been hit from top to bottom. There had been some fire in a couple of places. A neighbor had given me a card from his company and suggested I call them. We talked about what had happened and the owner stated he'd be over to evaluate the condition and let me know what could be done and when. I was told they could come out the next day, 5/5/17 and at the very least get the tree in a safe condition. The weather was not the best at the time and we didn't want any other damages to occur. We were pretty lucky as it was as no damage had occurred as yet and nobody was hurt. While talking to the owner he told me he could get a truck out the next day to at least get some of the stresses out of the tree until they could return on the following Monday. When they returned they continued to work on the tree removal. They were very professional and worked with me about my concerns to avoid any damage to my property and personal equipment as well as my neighbors. I felt that the way they handled all aspects of this work, I would recommend them very highly and if I'm ever in need of any future tree work done I would be sure to give these people a call and ask for their help.
