LIke many people, we rely on customer reviews and word of mouth when hiring for home projects. Despite being the most expensive option, we chose Refined Roofing after relying on other customer reviews. A huge mistake! In short, do not hire Refined Roofing because of their lack of site management, their lack of professionalism, and their deceitful behavior. We live in a neighborhood where houses are close to one another. We were concerned about the impact of our project on our neighbors and made this clear to Refined Roofing at the start. We were promised careful site management from a site supervisor, with a specific promise to tarp the area, including the neighbor's yard, to capture all debris. NO supervisor was on site during the actual execution of the project. As the photo shows, the area was INADEQUATELY tarped, debris was carelessly spewed all over our property and our neighbor's. When supervisors finally visited the site, they promised to repair the neighbor's yard. Once I paid my bill, they refused to make good on their promise. Additionally, the actual workmanship was sloppy. Among other things, they knowingly applied broken shingles to the new roof and did not apply a promised second coat of rubber in one area. Furthermore, the owners of Refined Home Services, Gino and Karen, were rude, dismissive, and dishonest when confronted with the facts. They denied that there was any debris mismanagement or damage, despite the photo proof included here. While the company replaced the broken shingles and finally cleaned up the initial mess, they refused to take responsibility for the damage they caused and left us in the uncomfortable situation they created with our neighbors. In short, Refined Roofing lacks quality of service, integrity, and decency. This company is not worth hiring ... ever.

After having hired him for extensive work, I believe that Gino Spero runs a racket business that…read morebilks homeowners by lying about labor done and materials used. He gives you a relatively high estimate (supposedly because of quality) and then farms out the labor to a cheaper third party subcontractor for whom he does inadequate quality assurance nor does he supervise. He lies on the contract and becomes borderline unreachable once the work is finished and inevitably deteriorates as the seasons change. We hired him to build a roof which he did not weatherproof--or likely did not inform his subcontractors to--and then denied any wrongdoing once the roof started to collapse. There are open holes on the roof not even supported by plywood and he afterward tried to claim that the wrapping paper and felt used between wood and shingles was really a water shield as stated in his contract, which of course is a categorical lie. When confronted with the photos he lied again and stated that the "Grace ice and water shield" had really been used. It was not. The damage caused by this is extremely expensive and time consuming to address. The entire roof is covered with cheap paper. The leaks are extensive and directly above the HVAC system and electrical equipment. In addition to that the shingles are hastily glued on and too few were used overall which of course can only lead to more water penetration. They ended up tossing a good number of shingles that we had bought from them. The deck was full of holes, and the roof corners not even taped or covered with plywood. He tried to blame all leaks on parts of the roof he did not work on but this is easily disproven by an objective outside party. Even more fatally, the decks were not built with any slope or incline, so they collect water like rice cookers. He of course did not offer to fix or reimburse for the necessary work to fix it and is onto his next scam. We tried calling him countless times to fix the damage but he never showed up. You can get away with a lot of borderline fraudulent behavior in the contracting world and he is an embarrassment to other roofers and honest people in this business.

They rebuilt all of the damaged areas and installed the new roof. The result was a structure that is better than than original. The men who did the work were pleasant to work with and took great care to clean the work area before leaving each day. The cost for the additional work was exceedingly fair. We would recommend Lambert to anyone who needs roofing or gutters. This is the third job that they have done for us and we couldn't be happier.

They put on a brand new roof in May 2025. By September 2025 that new roof is leaking in a different spot that has sustained no damage, weather or other. After calling them back they sent someone out to put some caulking material in the area which did nothing, It leaked the very next time it rained. They then told me if I wanted a long term solution I would need to replace the HVAC flue; the same HVAC flue that has been on the home for over 60 years. At no point during the pre-quote inspection, during the quote presentation, while working on the roof, or while collecting payment in full did anyone from Precision Roofing disclose that this was an obstacle that they could not completely seal off. Telling me this after I discovered the new roof leaking is ridiculous. Maybe it's something else, but to me it feels like you either took a job you couldn't complete or did poor work and are making excuses afterwards. Over the past few months, we have placed numerous calls and sent multiple emails; however, they have become entirely unresponsive, only occasionally replying to give us false completion dates. We were promised a timely and professional service, and instead, we are left with an unfinished job and a vendor who has essentially abandoned the project. This lack of accountability and disregard for a paying client is alarming. I cannot recommend Senco Home Services to anyone who values clear communication and project completion. Avoid the stress and look elsewhere.

In January 2023 I signed a contract for a new roof and in April paid the $4,900 deposit, but I…read morenever heard back about the install date despite repeated attempts to contact them. On May 27, 2023, I notified them that I had filed a Fraud Claim with my Bank to recoup the deposit, and that got their attention and they scheduled the installation for early July. There was minor damage done to an attic fan and a gutter issue they were supposed to fix during the installation. In October 2023 there was a (new) significant leak that caused over $1,000 in interior damage. They finally sent someone to fix the roofing issue but never sent the electrician to fix the fan. In February 2024, Chris showed up and explained what else he was going to do to fix the leak issue including re-routing a gutter and making a downspout larger. Between July 5, 2023 and May 15, 2024, I sent dozens of emails and texts and made multiple phone calls to three people at SENCO. In May 2024 I threatened to file claims here, with the Better Business Bureau, and the Tewksbury Chamber of Commerce. Within days they called me to say they would be by within the week to make things right. I haven't heard from them since. If you hire SENCO, expect to pay out of pocket for any damages.
