Made an appointment at 11:30. Show up at that time to see shops closed . Call him up and he tells me he had an emergency dental situation and the shops closed . I get it, it happens. Didn't have the decency to call me and let me know so I wasted my time going there , which was on my lunch break from work. During the call I asked him if I could come in later today and he says "f** no can't you see I'm in pain" and hung up. My other barber just moved and I was looking for someone new to replace them, he lost a potential lifelong monthly customer. read more

I went to this barber shop for the first time, and one of the guys attended to me. But when he cut my hair, it was really fast, and it seemed like he just wanted to get it over with quickly. He didn't cut my hair well at all. I think this barber shop is more for older folks, not for young people. I showed him a reference photo, but he didn't really pay attention to it, and he just cut my hair without getting it right. On top of that, they didn't clean off the hair clippings from my head. So I've been coming here on and off for 6 years, the cuts and the barbers, have always been polite. My 3 stars are for the young barber who took care of me and did a great job on my cut, if I could give him 5 stars I would! But today came in for a basic cut, and notice his tv was playing something, and the sound from the TV is bad, distorted, you can't understand anything. Kinda hurts the ears, since your brain is trying to figure out what it's saying over the crappy speakers. I suggested a soundbar. Well I made a comment to my barber, and George the owner told me if "I don't like it to get the F@&k out of his shop." By this point I'm already sitting, and I could tell the barber who was working on me couldn't say anything to that it's not his shop. When I walked in, it was dead. I felt it's not his fault and he has no control over the owner. So I let him finish my cut and tipped him $5.00, felt like he needs it more than me if he has to work there. Overall, George's response wasn't necessary, I wasn't trying to be rude, just an observation based on thr tv in front of me. Obviously this is his trigger, hence the response. Sadly this will be my last time getting a cut here for me and my son. His prices have gone up to $18.00 for a basic cut, but so has every other shop, so it's fair. Overall if you have a favorite barber there that's not George, keep going to help them, otherwise pick a different shop, not worth the rudness. read more

I just came by for the third time during normal business hours and the doors completely closed with the lights off. I looked inside, and i see Scott sitting inside in the dark, he saw me and i waived to him but he just sat there and ignored me, the last time I came by I had to stop back again because again he was closed when I finally got to come in, it smelled like marijuana inside, not sure if I want to keep coming here. Things have changed overr the last 6 months. I have been a normal customer but I don't think that I will be coming back anymore. read more

Never had a complaint with the barber services but the reservation system has room for improvement.

First time here. I was very impressed with this place. A haircut is $13. Upon arriving the staff all greeted me and my son with a "hello" making us feel welcomed. We only waited 5 mins for a chair to open up. Barber George had great patients for my son and made sure to let my son know what was coming next. Afterwards, he styled my sons hair exactly like a picture my son saw on the wall, making sure he was happy with the cut and style. I will definitely go back and tell my friends to go here! read more

My friend has a brother that has been going to this place for over 20 years. He has been battling cancer.. and he's autistic... The other day he finally gained the strength to go for a walk to get his hit cut cus he was looking like shaggy-doo.. and they refused to give him service.. he was told he looked sweaty and dirty ? Sweaty I get but the guy is so clean he bathes daily with soap and I've never thought his hygiene was ever poorly done.. his sister makes sure he has the best of clothes and toiletries .. He was sweaty because he walked a mile a MILESTONE for him.. getting back in shape after being bedridden Poor guy.. He was so heart broken.. I went there a year ago and gave him a ride.. I personally felt they treated him with zero patience.. abrupt and no compassion .. it's sad how a business is in accepting of a fellow because he's autistic and they should be blasted for this last straw.. I hope you people realize how $h1tty that was to turn him away .. and insult him.. and make him feel there was anything wrong with that sweet soul.. read more

Don't be fooled by the cheap prices. Once you step inside and have 2 seconds of interaction with the owner, you realize why it's empty and looks like a dump. The rude owner hates people and himself and projects that onto the customers. Bad combo for a business owner serving the public. Go literally anywhere else for better service and results. You get what you pay for here.....an angry, self loathing barber with a chip on their shoulder located in a dirty, old and outdated, empty shop. I've been bringing my son here now for about a year for his haircuts. Price is cheap for $10 and cuts are good so no need to go anywhere else. There are a few different barbers doing cuts some better than others but they all do good. You get who's available and no waiting on a specific one. There's always some kind of action movie playing loudly and a bunch of wall art to look at. The place can get busy but it goes fast and they have lots of seating. read more

I highly recommend this place and specifically George. There's always a friendly smile to greet you when you walk in and, its very very affordable. The only thing I would recommend to customers is to make sure that when you go that you don't have any product in your hair. This is a traditional barber shop and don't wash your hair in sinks like fantastic sams does. read more

Used to be my go to for last 5 year, but things have gone down hill. Randomly closed multiple times with or without sign to say why. Used to go in at 7am and now he strolls in at 8am consistently. Was there earlier this week waiting with another customer and he didn't show by 7:45am (hour are 7am-6pm). Went back today and doors are locked at 5:45pm. Sorry, lost my business. Stay away from this dump. The owner is a complete lowlife that hates his job and speaks to customers like they are garbage. I've seen him disrespect people several times for no reason. The fact that I still remember this place 4 and a half years later, and felt the need to tell you all about my experience, speaks for itself. This place is terrible, and I'm surprised they're still in business. Back in 2006 when I lived in Yorba Linda, I stopped by this place for a haircut. I had seen it every time I did my shopping at the Stater Bros which is in the same plaza. I always figured it would be an old man named Scott who had opened up shop decades ago, and that it would be a nice, quaint place to get a haircut. It wasn't. There was an old man in there, but he wasn't the owner. The Asian lady who ended up cutting my hair appeared to be the owner. And I don't think her name was Scott. As I sat down in the barber's chair, we had the typical conversation. How short do you want it? Etc, etc. I don't remember the exact details of the conversation verbatim, but I told her I wanted it a certain length and she began cutting. I wear glasses and while I'm not as blind as a bat without them, if I'm not wearing my glasses, certain details such as the exact length of my hair are difficult to catch. Well, the lady finished my haircut, and I put my glasses on. I noticed instead of getting my hair cut to 1", she had left it at almost 1.5 inch and only trimmed off a fraction of an inch. Even though the haircut was only $8 or so, why would I want my hair only cut 1/4 of an inch. I'll grow that back in like 4 days. I asked nicely if she could cut it shorter because I had described to her that I wanted a spike cut. She didn't get angry about it, but she did say something to the extent of, "Next time I charge you for 2 haircut," which really upset me. I didn't say anything at that exact moment because I still needed her to finish re-cutting my hair, but I thought to myself, wow. Just WOW. YOU mess up my hair because YOU can't understand my English, and you want to charge me for TWO haircuts??? Exactly the type of business tactic that loses customers. Which she did. I've never been back, even though at $8, that's a helluva deal. Just a shame that there are business owners like that in this world. On top of it all, she trimmed the back too high and too round. I prefer it to be more square and definitely lower than my sideburns, but she cut the back so it was almost as high. Worst haircut experience ever. read more

I walked into this barber shop today with a colleague and wanted to get a Buzz Cut #2. we were thinking and deciding, the lady who is about to cut my hair was nice too. she said it's your decision, we have plenty of time. but there was GUY who sat in the store, i believe he is the manager or the store owner suddenly said "YOU GUYS ARE WASTING OUR TIME"，i was extremely unhappy with his attitude. SO WE WALKED OUT, i don't want him to make a PENNY of me. I regret i didn't leave few bucks tips for the girl who was helping me.
