The radiator was the same one that I installed in 2025, and put zip ties of the reservoir. if he changed the radiator, why did he not replace the zip ties with screws. the serial number matched all these parts he claimed to have replaced. he cracked my fuel rail, and he had no business messing with that at all, he was just to put in a manifold gasket. He lied about so much and tried to charge me $6,000.00. Fuck him....

I was told I needed new rear brakes, so I planned to replace them myself on Saturday, 12/29/25. When I went to start the job, my security socket was nowhere to be found. So much for my Saturday project. The shop was closed for the weekend, so I couldn't resolve it. I met with the owner, Dan, on Monday. He ordered a new set of security lugs in hopes that the key would work. It did not. The tech had misplaced my original key during the brake inspection. Needless to say, it was a major inconvenience--and I didn't receive so much as an apology from the owner. This was my experience as a first-time customer. A $50-off coupon will not bring back my business.

Unfortunately, I had to pay $122 for the diagnostic but I by change had contacted on Craig's List another Mechanic who referred me to Erik. I had told Erick and he himself was shocked at my story! He new Midas was BS-ing and I went to him. My engine was still fine! I just needed new spark plugs which he believed Midas technicians damage by pulling it out the improper way and new great quality coils which I should have don vs buying from Ebay. I bought the car and learned the next day from my mechanic, that not only was the ABS not working, but if the light is on it means it absolutely CANNOT work. It would cost almost $400 (and the front end was loose in 2 places). So I called Hillcrest and told the mechanic that I bought the car on his word that the ABS worked. He denied ever saying it worked. I asked if he would fix it at half price. "Not gonna happen." Click. When I picked up my car the next morning, it was in the exact same condition as when I dropped it off--still no heat. When I called the shop, I was then told the real issue was that it needed a back flush. I was basically told I could either bring it back and pay more to have that done or forget about it, with no care or accountability. If a back flush was the actual problem, it should have been properly diagnosed and fixed the first time instead of charging me for unnecessary repairs. The way I was spoken to was extremely unprofessional. I would not recommend this place.
